What about the Shiba Inu? I feel like they were trending hard and then everyone lost interest.

Which has to be embarrassing for the people who got a dog on a whim and now have to take care of it for the next 10+ years.

But, that's true for a few dog breeds. We've been slowly making them more and more distinct, at the cost of physical capabilities.

I just doubt some peoples' ability to think beyond "I'm gonna post so many pics of my dog online and everyone's gonna be so jelly!", that's all.

I'd have a house full of cats if I want to, but my parents won't let me and it's easier to keep track of just two.

As cute as most dogs are, I'd rather look at the dog pictures and play around with other people's dogs than to have one for myself. But we got Bucky for my little sister and then eventually (and literally) rescued Darlin' from the streets.

the lady who owned the northwoods lodge where we used to go had two adorable corgis. they were clever! one would bounce a ball off her nose and the other would catch it and bounce it back, amazing!

and so friendly, not like those chihuahuas that want to n** at your ankles.
