Healing Ashes
Spell:
"Papers filled with words of the dead
Fallen leaves from a plant unfed
Other leaves from a plant who's dying
Pointy parts from plant who's crying
Add in life from a plant that's well
Ashes bring me a healing spell"
ingredients I used:
-pages from the newspaper with the obituaries - any pages of someone dead would do, like a dead author's book's pages
-Leaves that had fallen off a pottedplant my mom forgot to water for days
-Leaves of a plant my Mom has basically killed which were brown and yellow
-Tops of a pineapple, because they were sharp. I'd prefer thorns but it is bitter cold here so I won't go pick them
-Fresh snipped rosemary sprig. I think the fresh living herb being of love helps the spell
Intent: Make Healing Ashes.
-These ashes are blessed ashes, used to bring about growth from death.
-It will be used to help other plants grow in the spring.
-I will save some to help in future spells that are used to encourage growth.
Process:
Set up a fire. Use a flatter log as the top for a burnable alter. Fill it with energy and light.
Recite the spell and as each line is read, place the proper offering on the burnable alter.
Then light the fire underneath.
Recite the spell one more time during the burning, and one final time once the fire has burned out.
Collect the ashes once they have cooled.
