[Battle of the Tribes] Scavenger Hunt

[Matope]

It seems to have rained sometime last night as the leaves drip water, and the ground is went. Still, someone has taken the time to carve grooves in the mud to spell out the next prompt. The grooves were still filled with water.

Submerge me and I disappear.

Kin: Sunspot
Answer: The doe gently nudge a little ball of dirt into one of the puddles and watched as it gently broke apart and became part of the mud.  

[thyPOPE]

Kin: Soothe
Answer: She watched the doe sink dirt into a puddle, and thought, how clever. She herself could think of little that would do the same. But after a while, she found one: a jelly that was dark and lovely, and she coaxed it over to the grove with some trouble. The water remaining in the groove was not deep enough to submerge it, but when it was submerged it would've been difficult to detect indeed: its translucency and its color made it seem just like the mud that lingered at the bottom of every river.

Kin: Breaking The Ice
Answer:
Dirt, that was brilliant. Through did have something in mind though. As someone who wandered and observed a lot, he had seen a doe once tending to salt ponds. He just had to find salt, which took quite some time, and then he put it in the water and watched it dissolve.  

[Matope]

The grove is a little dryer today than it was yesterday. Someone has arranged the next message from dainty flower stalks, using flowers to dot the the i in ailments.

All your ailments I can cure.

Kin: Breaking The Ice
Answer: Through knew of something that made him feel better all the time, even if he didn't do it that much. With a smile, he said one word, "Laughter."  

[thyPOPE]

Kin: Soothe
Answer: She searched for a large branch first, and erected it diagonally, in the way of a temporary sundial. To make her answer more obvious she left at its foot a sprig of one of her favorite herbs - thyme. For time could cure all, if it wanted to.

Of course, that never meant it would - time had its own ways and motives. That was what kin like Soothe were for!

The last day, the last prompt. This time, it is carved into the tree below the opening message.

Without wings, I fly.
Without teeth, I bite.
Without fins, I swim.

Answer:

The large doe ambled apologetically into the clearing, having been caught up the day before.

"This is a hard one," was all she said at first, inclining her head from one side to the other, deep in concentration.

"How about the wind?"

Kin: Breaking The Ice
Answer: Through shrugged and frowned at the riddle. He quite literally went through every animal that he could remember before deciding that it couldn't possible be an animal. Then it seemed to hit him. "Thoughts, I'm sure they can do all of those."

Kin: Soothe
Answer: Perhaps it was a cop-out, or an easy answer. But she liked creatures, and so she found herself coaxing yet another jellyfish into the clearing. Above and below water, they floated through Matope. And their "bite" was the sting that any kin who touched them felt, clean and clear as day. Certainly unpleasant, coming from such lovely creatures!
