As Furia spoke, the swift back and forth motions of his tail had begun to slow down, a indication that the cat was easing down from what he himself would probably call a irrational anger. He knew how business was to that Furia. Regardless, Vaughn was striving to be a friend to her regardless to how she operated, mainly in terms to her rather underhanded techniques and general lack of trust to anyone. She never failed to give results, and while Vaughn would rather to take on tasks in a more savory manner, he couldn't deny this. He wasn't aware whether or not if she had any other friendly faces besides his and Jamie's to see, so he was driven to try to be her friend, whether or not she wanted one. The cat let out a soft-hearted sigh, only to raise a eyebrow as he heard about a gnome in the wastelands who liked to challenge people to catch him, right after Furia then produced a exquisite vase. He was familiar with the fellow, his name was Dobick, and he took on that very same challenge. He was aware of the difficulty, damn difficult to catch, but at that same note, he was also knowing of the gnomes pride. Dobick was probably holed up right about now, still bawling about the small thief that had caught him. Not that it would fall on caring ears, Furia probably already had the vase in her bag and went on her way before the gnome's tears could even well up in his eyes. Vaughn wasn't sore over it, to be blunt, that little b*****d needed to be taken down a peg every once in a while. Smacking his a** at every poor soul passing through that sandy hell. Vaughn was happy she caught him. A curious prize to a difficult challenge from a stuck up halfling.
The cat suddenly cracked a sharp-toothed smile and slapped Furia's back lightly as she bagged the vase again. "Good on you, Furia! I doubt any other could do it! I swear you always come back twice as tenacious and crafty from the last time we meet up, it's always a pleasure." His voice had turned from stern to sweet and welcoming, damn near like a warm fluffy hug. The two sitting together made some people rather confused, bitter thief next to a kind cat, but it was real, if only for the moment. Vaughn did try to hold a good reputation around the Guild. Then the bartender shakily put a platter of cooked fish in front of Vaughn. "Hm? I didn't order this...?" The bartender slowly stepped back to his glasses, asking Vaughn to just not wreck the place, before promptly turning away from him and beginning to polish furiously. Vaughn turned his head to every other normal patron, which was met with whispers and avoided gazes. The cat then just slowly slipped away from Furia emotionally and put his head on the bar table.
