Dolls are emotionless "psychic mediums" created to mimic the form of humans. While human at one point like Contractors and Moratoria, Dolls have their consciousness erased and overwritten by programs, specific functions implanted to dictate behavior. The complexity of the program determines the range of actions a Doll take upon themselves, some can be severely limited in nature.

Dolls can perform a variety of functions; the most commonly seen is the use of observer spirits, which serve as tools for reconnaissance. Each Doll has a different medium (such as: water, glass, metal, etc.) through which they can send their observer spirits -- physical contact with these mediums must be initiated and maintained as a prerequisite for observing; however once this obligation has been fulfilled the Doll may send his or her send her observer spirit anywhere that medium is present.

A Doll can also act as the perfect sleeper agent. As emotionless shells they can be given the memories and personality of another person and assume said person's personality perfectly, mimicking all their habits, dreams, and feelings until the time is right. Interestingly enough there are reported cases of Dolls seeming to have some form of "life" on their own by thinking for themselves because of their original human base. This suggests that Dolls can indeed go beyond their "set" characteristics and become something else entirely; acting on lingering emotions.

User Image Restrictions:
• On the surface, Dolls are for the most part completely emotionless.

○ Dolls must be in physical contact with their medium in order to see through their observer spirit. Once this contact has been supplied however they possess the ability to send this spirit anywhere that medium is present. Dolls must continuously maintain physical contact with their medium in order to use their observer spirit. Once this contact is lost so is the spirit. There is no post limit for observing.

Contractors are individuals who have gained superhuman powers due to the appearance of the Hell's Gate and Heaven's Gate. The existence of Contractors is kept a secret from the general public by most governments around the world, but they are well-known to the higher echelons of society and in the criminal underworld. Contractors possess two traits that give them a rather sinister reputation: the need to perform obeisance, which is a bizarre, obsessive compulsive "payment" for the use of their powers (also known as remuneration), and a generally pragmatic, logical world view. This is described by the Contractors themselves as a lack of emotion, but not much evidence exists to verify this claim. Many Contractors exhibit at least some forms of emotion, including love, joy, guilt, and sorrow.

It has been explicitly confirmed that Contractors are indeed fully capable of experiencing emotions; however said feelings do not play a prominent role in their thought processes. They are described as totally rational and totally amoral beings. The general rule seems to be that they feel no guilt over the course of their actions. Several contractors even go to the lengths to imply they can neither form nor retain social bonds, although this remains unproven. A “normal” Contractor cares, in essence, solely about their own well-being and everything is reduced to a cost/benefit analysis: Any other issues such as laws, emotions, or even questioning the sanctity of human life are rendered completely irrelevant.

How a person becomes a Contractor has long remained a mystery. There are several abstract phenomena that could potentially contribute to the change. Even rare cases where individuals are born Contractors have been noted. However the chances of such remain exceedingly sparse. Recent speculation maintains that Contractors are the defects that emerge from when humans are unable to become Dolls.
