Coming up after Date night: Mid-terms week!
For those of you out of the US, Mid-terms marks the middle of the semester.
Semester = half a year
So, Mid-Terms are the quarter-school year mark. Each class gives the students either a test or has a large project due to evaluate how well the students are doing. Then, while the students have a couple days off, the teachers meet with their parents and give the parents updates, called Conferences.
So here's how our schedule is going to go:
Monday is Mid-Terms. We'll be the day, though since it's mostly tests, it should be relatively brief. Mostly, you'll want to show how your kids are progressing at school, show any problems they have, etc.
Tuesday-Wednesday, the students are off! Hurrah! BUT....It's Parent-Creature Conferences time! Your students parents (Or gore-dians) will be meeting with HH Bloodgood and possibly other teachers to find out about how their children are doing. That means you'll have an opportunity to rp as your student's parents!
If your student's parents/goredians are far away, find a way to bring them here. Parent/Creature conferences are important!
Thursday marks the beginning of Howliday Break! Uhh-merican Fangsgiving takes place that day. Some of the students are traveling to New Goreleans for the break, and some are going elsewhere or staying home. Start working on your Howliday break plans! It's up in the air how much of this we'll actually rp.

Guild change:
We've added a new subforum called the Thread Archive. This is where threads that aren't in (relatively) active use will be stored. We're going to loosen up on the restrictions of making new threads as our kids start venturing places besides the mainstay threads.
This would, for example, give Meme and Ronan the chance to make a 'Movie Theater' thread rather than roleplaying that in the Haunted Hollow park thread. (Though of course, that's perfectly all right as we have things now)
There are going to be some rules put in place for new threads, of course, since we don't want a new thread started for every single interaction. But the basic idea is this:
-If characters are going somewhere and one of the current settings isn't appropriate, you can get permission to start a new thread. The thread should lay out the setting fully in the first post, as well as give an idea of why the kids are there. If someone brand new comes into the guild, they should be able to read that first post and understand what's going on in that thread.
-Once the thread is done being used, if it seems like it won't be used anytime soon, it will be archived.
-If anyone wishes to use that thread again, it'll be moved out of the archives and a new situation will be established in it.
This way, we can build up our "Monster High World" without having to backtrack pages searching for a thread we want to reuse in the future.
