I'm just starting out. And my main question is how do I tell what size I am in women's? I have a terrible time finding things like these

There are measurement charts on the internet for ordering clothes if you aren't going shopping outside the home for your clothes i'd suggest using the charts. Get a flexible tape measure and follow along.

Otherwise do what I do and pull the ole, hold it up, if it looks like it fits it'll probably fit? Maybe try some things on. If you aren't comfortable trying things on at the store buy returnable items to begin with and try them on at home, return them if they don't fit.

I find my trans friends have the hardest time with length in pants. Make sure you know how long you need your pants to be. Measure from the inside of the crotch to the floor. smile

GOOD LUCK! biggrin

Don't forget, for shoes like heels, pumps and boots. Go a size larger than your regular shoe size and sometimes for heels, you might have to go wide depending on your foot. Women's has to be one size larger than Men's.

Keep in mind that women's sizes aren't uniform like men's sizes.

For example, men's jean sizes are measured by inches while women's dress/jean sizes vary by designer. I know if I buy jeans from Gap I need a size 8, but I'm a 10 at Pac Sun, and I'm a 7 at Target. You will probably deal with some trial and error before you figure out what sizes work for you.

You also might need to get wider shoes.
