Valerin had expected that reaction from Zara when she mentioned Northrend and to be perfectly honest she did not like the idea much more than her mate did. The rogue wrapped an arm around the red, squeezing him gently. No matter what choices were made it would be alright- he would not be alone. She nuzzled the spot where his neck and shoulder met pressing a kiss to it.

"Ulduar is a massive titan complex at the northern point of the continent. I do not know if it was meant to be temple originally, but at one point it became a prison for a being known as Yogg Saron. It claimed to be the god of death." Whatever it was it certainly was not a god, she knew that now, but at the time though that thing certainly had been terrifying. "If the keepers are still there, maybe they would be able to tell you something more. That or the archives."

"The scourge are mindless undead, yes. They were once controlled by a being that called himself the Lich King. Eventually we were able to gather together and take him down." One of the scarce times where horde and alliance had managed to work more or less together. Those who had managed to get so far up in the Citadel certainly did not care to war each other. They had gotten that out of the way while getting up.

"Frostmourne shattered when he..." Vael hesitated. This was not something he liked to remember. "When he tried to take us all, to make us his greatest champions. It was the reason Icecrown Citadel was the way it was. Whoever would have been able to get all the way up, were the greatest champions the alliance and the horde would have - and, in the lich king's mind... An unstoppable army of death knights."

"Something must be keeping them in check, though... 'There must always be a Lich King'. That is what Terenas said."

His mate's actions would have it's calming effects, and Zara would settle down a bit, hand reaching out to lace in her's.

"Ulduar has contained Yogg Saron for as long as I have been alive." Which was a long time, indeed. "I don't know what it's previous purpose was. Even the dragons steered far, far away from that place, less the maddening whispers claim us as they claimed Neltarion."

"The cat is another god we know, Rei." He would elaborate for the nether. "Mystery. He might very well be able glimpse things we cannot, and uncover knowledge we do not have."

The dragon settled a bit, sitting down - tail making a wide arc around him, and wings low to the ground, so that they would not get in the way. The simple mention of Yogg Saron made him shudder. It would give the others an idea of the beast they had faced, that day.

"Ulduar's keepers said that they were left behind by the titans... They might also know things we cannot remember. There must have been a purpose to Ulduar, before being a prison."

The dragon paused, thinking for a moment. "I doubt Akakios would know much. He tends to the living, not the dead. Ankou - the Spirit Guide - would know better, I think. If anyone would be able to free the scourge permanently, it would be him."

Vaelrirn frowned. "Do we really have to deal with that freakazoid again ? He creeps the unholy s**t out of me."

"Mystery would help if he can. If he doesn't know anything, he would go to help us himself. He does not seem like one to sit back and watch. Tempest and Cameron would be of help also."

Croix listened to what Vael said. "There there must be one. It must be someone who knew what it meant to sacrifice themself to it but... could contain it? Is that even possible?"

Lan nodded watched Vael. This was really hard for him. Mystery might know something. And she hoped that he would tell them what he did know. It would save them some time in this situation. She was sure Vael would not like the thought of there being another lich king.

"I think finding that death knight is a good idea, Croix. If we are going to set up in Northrend, we need to know what we face. Ankou is also a good idea. If he could help with the scourge that would solve one big problem from the beginning. That will also make the others hesitate once word gets out." Hopefully it would go that direction.

"I see," she replied when Xun answered her question about Mystery." Her mind sort of raced. It was not just one place that was having trouble. All of Azeroth was as well as Outland. What else could happen? They would have to be as Valor said, careful and plan. She had already decided she would help. Malfas would watch their whelps, and keep them safe. It would be up to her to help.

"Am I late?" A small blue whelp would fly over as quick as her small wings could go, only land and shift back to her humanoid shape as she got close to the group.

She smiled when Zara's hand found hers but it would quickly turn into a frown at the mention of the events at Icecrown Citadel. They had all come very close to joining the scourge, but ultimately it had been Arthas' ego that had saved them and given Tirion the opening he needed. Had Arthas succeeded the consequences would have been disastrous. Ankou's name made her sigh internally; she still felt like a fool. He probably was the best suited though for dealing with the remaining scourge.

"I have no damn idea. No one's ever gone back in there, as far as I know." He certainly hadn't, and had no plan to do so. Too much s**t had went down there.

The few seconds where his soul was stuck in limbo had been the worst moments of his whole life.

"There is Aichen, too." The monk had led them here, after all. "She is a pandaren monk... A mistweaver. She was the one to lead us here, to begin with. She had visions. She saw you in them." He nodded to Xun Jiang. "And the Terrace of Endless Springs..."

He would blink at the arrival of the little whelp, who would shift to be a gnome. Odd, hadn't he seen her before... ?

Vael and Val's reaction were telltale - clearly they were familiar with the god, and had found him quite strange. This amused him. To be honest, he found the Spirit Guide to be quite strange as well. Someone who ultimately meant well in his own way, and someone he had respect for, but still quite strange in his own way.

Though... He remembered what Aichen had said. Oh, no, they could not have... ?

Ti Lung fought back the urge to facepalm. Of course they would have. Val had an hair trigger that had been even worse with the blades' influence, and Vael would have gleefully jumped in right after his sister.

What Zara had to say would distract him. Terrace of Endless Spring ? "What is that terrace you speak of ?"

"Linlin, you are fine. Linlin is one of mine." Croix stated, "This is Rei, Zara, Val, Vael, and Lan. We are just discussing what we know of Azeroth, Linlin. Any information you have would be helpful. We are trying to pinpoint where the greatest problems are and then we will figure out how to help Azeroth best."

Lan nodded to Linlin smiling when she shifted. "Hello, Linlin. So we need to find this death knight, and someone needs to pin the cat's tail down and get him to tell us some of his secrets. If we figure that out, we might be able to see where, when, and how this needs done.

The sat down cross legged next to Croix, laying her staff just beside on her the ground. "I won't be much help with anything current. Keeva and I left..." Albeit unintentionally. "...after Ragnaros was vanquished." Kalecgos has bound Tarecgosa to staff to keep her from fading and the first portal Shalindri had cast afterward had brought them here rather than back to the Exodar.

"The Terrace of Endless Springs is one of the great shrines in Pandaria. The water that flows from it is the lifeblood of the land there, the rivers flow through every region. Plants touched by the water grow at ridiculous rates. The water guards against corruption and can be used to heal wounds...even those afflicted by the Sha." Unconsciously she would rub her forearm- the one that been flayed by the mantid empress when she was possessed by the Sha of Fear.

Come to think of the water from the Terrace sounded an awful lot like lifewater...

"That terrace was the place where the last pandaren emperor performed the ceremony to call the mists ages ago." It was truly a place of power at the heart of Pandaria. "But now the Sha of Fear resides there...corrupting the water and the shrine's guardians." The jinyu, Tsulong and Lei Shi. "The Shado-pan have it sealed off so that no one can enter- the Sha of Fear was defeated once but not destroyed...so when it fled to the Terrace the only choice that seemed to be left was attempt to imprison it there. Taran Zhu thought waters of the Terrace would be strong enough to destroy the sha, but it has not gone as he expected."

"Patrols are sent in regularly to clean out the lesser sha and the last time I went in...it was not pretty." She frowned at the memory. Tsulong had attacked them- she, Kakumei and their squad mates had been lucky to escape with their lives.

"Cameron would be able to pin Taj down better than we could." Probably. Cameron was also fluent enough in Taj-ese to keep his brain from exploding.

Damn that man made no sense at all.

"Any help is good help, at this point. There are likely things to understand from the past." Little signs that they might not have understood as they happened, but might glimpse information that could help them with that they knew now.

"Hmmmm." That definitively sounded like lifewater, indeed. He would definitively be getting a look at this Terrace, even if he had to go alone. He could most likely handle what lurked inside - no need to risk anyone else if it could be avoided. The idea that a Sha was holed up there made him... quite irrate. It would be easy to see, with the sharp twitches his tail was giving.

"Cameron is a good idea. He'd have some insight into what Taj knows." Croix agreed. Although if the cat had rubbed off on Cameron in other ways, it could be worse. "If it has become a secret, I would think Mystery would be the one to know it." He had afterall helped Xun understand what to do to get this started. It made Croix an aoide.

He noted that Xun was adgitated about the terrace when he saw his tail. Lifewater would want to deal with that thing but Croix intended to make sure that he did not go alone. With the shaws it was likely better to have two so that a second person had a better perspective.

"Well, if Croix is going after the death knight, then I'll see what I can learn from Cameron. He comes to see his sister almost daily. I can ask him then," Lan volunteered, "Or Vael can if I'm doing something else."

Pinning Taj down was never difficult, it was understanding him. If it was more than silence, then it was only a few cryptic words and there was always too much to read between the lines in his messages.

Rei had been listening to everything. "When it is time to go, I will go along. I can help try to convince the other netherdrakes to leave Outland. And I will help all of you get things in order so that they have a place to go whether they want it or not."

She was not going to give into them this time. They would leave Outland.

It would not even take the telltale twitching of Lifewater's tail to reveal to her what he was considering. This was very much dealing with Illisia, with even more obvious body language. "If you think you are going into that Terrace alone, Xun Jiang, I've got news for you. I'm going too." This was Valerin being stubborn because she felt partially responsible for what had happened there- both as a member of the Alliance and Shado-pan. She wanted to help repair the damage. Certainly he could understand that?

Ha. Maybe this was Illisia, after all. Stubborn as a mule... No, as a pack of mules.

Not that he could be considered much better.

It continued to be a wonder that his mate did not find herself knocked back into the lake, honestly. "So you can go find that death knight, Lan will look for Taj... Anything else we need to worry about ?"

The Dragon King's glare was quite telltale. If you think I am letting you do anything stupid, Valerin, then I have news for you.

If he deemed the Terrace too dangerous, then she would get knocked right off in the nearest non-corrupted body of water and would simply need to deal with it.

"Someone needs to pin down Ankou. Maybe that death knight will know." If not, then surely he would ask Cosine.

PostPosted: Tue Feb 12, 2013 6:50 pm
"Don't worry, Val. He won't be going alone. I did note the tail twitch, Xun, but it is not safe for any of us to deal with something alone. We need to work together on this and not take chances.' Right, Big Brother?

Croix was definitely amused, but added. "I will ask the death knight when I find him. He may know something. If not, then we will ask until someone knows where he is."

"I think that covers it for now. Except to make sure that everyone will have the gear they will need. If we need to make anything, then we should get started on it. Food and water, Tempest can provide if Mystery takes him along. Anyone else think of anything?"

Valerin would grin at Xun, perhaps this was tempting fate. Oh well, whatever would be, would be. Try it, sir. I dare you.

"No, nothing at the moment..."

PostPosted: Tue Feb 12, 2013 7:23 pm
"We'll have to think up an alternative in case Tempest doesn't come along." Zara pondered. What else did they need... ? "Tents, maybe ? Inns would... likely have us catching more attention than it is worth." One pointed look was given to Xun. Lan passed very well as an human, but him...

The red's thoughts were at the right place, but such a thing was quite unnecessary. "Then we should probably start gathering what we can, then. Worry for your whelps for the time being, Rei." He knew it would be impossible to dissuade the mother from coming along - the fire in her eyes was a familiar one. Still, her little ones had to be her priority while she was here.
