{PRP} The Bread Bearer & The Butler (Melody x Autumnal)

Autumnal smiled, looking into her purple eyes a bit more. He enjoyed sitting here with this mare. More than he had originally thought. Where he was only intrigued before, he had now become a bit more entranced by her.

"Well, I never really cook for myself. Having cooked for half the day, by the time I get everything closed up and go to rest, I usually end up just wanting to order out and have someone else do the cooking."

He laughed at himself a bit.

"Not everyone does. And not everyone minds. I simply find it easier where I have to prepare so many things before we open in the morning. And then I usually end up being down here decently late at night."

Autumnal smiled at her as she scolded him about his eating habbits.

"Well, sometimes it just happens to be easier. And although someone cooking for me would be nice, there really isn't anyone around to do any cooking for me. Sometimes one of my employees will cook a little something for me before they leave. But that's only happened a few times."

He smiled at her, watching her contently. He was enjoying looking into her eyes a little too much, he thought.

"As much as I would love to get some help with the prep working and the break downs, I would rather not keep anyone or have them come in so early to do it. They really do work hard while they are here, so overworking them doesn't seem like the best idea to me for the most part."

He laughed at his thoughts.

Autumnal looked at her with a rather somber face.

"I would very much enjoy if you did feel the need to cook something for me. I love a good meal and seeing how others cook. It intrests me very much to see different dishes than my own being made. Unless, of course, you would rather use one of my own recipies cooking for me?"

He watched her a bit more, wondering what she might think of him if she was around him longer. He generally found that most mares don't enjoy his cooking habits, or that he wouldn't give up the cafe for anyone.

"As for hiring more people, I honestly can't afford it. Someone just to do prep work with me, or someone else getting more hours would be a bit of a waste of money for me right now. Simply considering that I can do most of it pretty quickly on my own."

He laughed a bit, his face lightening some.

"And you would be correct about me not being able to overwork someone who wasn't on my staff. But I would feel bad about it later."

"It's always a good idea to improve your skills. Especially when it comes to being able to add more skills to simple cooking ones. I try and learn something at least once a year. Learning how to use a different tool, or a tool I'm used to using in a different way, is another reason I enjoy doing what I do. And yes, I figured it was a suggestion, but I like to give reasons as to why I do some of the silly things I do."

He smiled at her, stretching out a bit. Looking around he realized how late it was getting.

"It seems as though it's almost time to close up for the day. Not too many people left. Though it looks like the others have done an incredible job keeping up with the work tonight."

Autumnal smiled at her warmly.

"Time flys when you are having fun, yes?"

He watched the mare get up and stretch, as he slide to sit on the edge of the booth. He stood up next to her and adjusted the shoulder of her dress for her.

"Seemed to be a bit out of place there, huh?"

Autumnal looked at her a bit more carefully now, swishing his own tail as he examined her. He thought about how beautiful the mare looked and how he wished that she wouldn't leave. But he was sure she had other places that she had to be.

Autumnal smiled at her, deciding that he liked her dress a lot anyway.

"Well, it is a very pretty dress and it suits you very well. I'm sure that it's hard to find a shall that would match. Maybe I could see if I can find you one at some point. I have some upstairs, I believe. They were left behind by the fromer tenant. I didn't want to get rid of them. I figured that she might be back for them and, if not, I have no reason to get rid of them. I have room to keep the couple of boxes."

He laughed a bit.

"If you really wanted to stay. I'm not opening tomorrow, so there isn't really any prep work to get done. But a couple of last minute clean up help is always good. Everyone else is already gone now anyway, so I'm just going to lock the front door before we get started."

Autumnal smiled at her. Watching as she walked about. He was interested in the way that she moved.

"Autumn colors are some of the best colors after all. And of course. You are welcome to look anytime you would like. I'm certainly not against you being in my home."

He followed her to the back carrying the tray and the left over bread. He placed the tray down and put the leftovers into a carryout box for her.

"No point in wasting the rest of this bread when you can take it home with you."

Autumnal nodded at her and placed the box next to where she was stading.

"That is perfectly fine with me. I don't mind you staying here for as long as you like. As long as I'm not holding you up from doing anything else, of course."

Autumnal smiled at her before picking up a broom.

"Well, I'll wrap it up tighter for you after. That way it will stay good for a few more days. Of course I guess you could always just come back and see me for some more."

He laughed lightly.

"I'll take it up to my place if you really don't want it."

Autumnal flicked his tail and walked out into the dining room with the broom, sweeping up the bits of things that were still left over on the floor. He thought about how he should probably clean the floor tomorrow, but then put the thought out of his mind.
