This particular day, Froreember had moved his prey scrounging efforts towards the ThunderClan border, diligently watching and waiting for any signs of prey, either lounging on ShadowClan lands already, or prey that had strayed bast the border within his reach.
As things would be though, there wasn't much prey to be had today, not near the borders at the very least. He had seen a ThunderClan border patrol today already. His polite greeting threw them for a bit of a loop, but there was still some spitting and cursing from them over the apparent trespassing going on. Froreember wasn't involved, so he didn't know much about it there, but he disliked the thought.
Nothing to be done about it now though. What happened happened, and that doesn't change the matter at hand being that ShadowClan needed freshkill.
Ears perked when he cause traces of another cat nearby, Silverstar if he wasn't to mistaken, and began picking his way towards where the fresh scent led. It would be rude to pass right by his leader without at least saying hello. and who knows, maybe something was wrong and he could assist. If she wanted to be left to her own thoughts though, no harm.

Hearing the slight growl, Froreember found himself looking right into Silverstar's light orange eyes, his right ear automatically tugging down, nearly flat against his skull. Dipping his head shortly in respect to his leader, the younger tom blinked after a second, watching Silverstar carefully and processing her questions.
She seemed stressed. Extremely so. Understandable, as she is the ShadowClan leader, and as leader, the clan is your responsibility. This hunger that their clan was being faced with was widely considered up to her to fix. The empty stomach of every warrior, queen, elder, kit, and apprentice were up to her to look after and fill. One cat realistically can't do that, but all the same, that was the expectation. Still, she retained a certain degree of regal sort of composure, but it was forced.
Calm at a time like this would have to be forced. They were barely into leafbare and already the prey had very nearly run dry, if one were to use a RiverClan idiom.
"Silverstar," He returned cordially, wrapping his long and overly fluffy tail about his left hind leg, a sign he was parked in his spot and not about to take off. Maybe a bit of talking would do Silverstar some good? Venting. Although, it seemed not every cat was comfortable speaking to him. "Considering circumstances, I'm fine, thank you very much. I would hope the same for you, though it might appear you have been better. Your fur seems a bit neglected."
He paused a moment and cocked his head. Was that rude? Best keep on.
"But no, I haven't found anything today, a shame. I've been watching the territory near the ThunderClan border, and not a single creature has shown itself, other than a rather upset ThunderClan border patrol. It would seem some trespassing has occurred from our end."
