SilverStar paced in her den. What was she going to do. The prey was gone... Her clan was starving. Thunderclan had caught them in their territory and were continuously patrolling their shared border scaring off any hope of prey. While she never told her warriors out right to hunt in the other territories, she never told them not to... and she had even maybe suggested that they had more food.

With a huff, Silverstar headed out of her den. Her spine scraped the large rock that covered the majority of the den. The other part was dug out. She glanced around and felt the cold ground beneath her paws. Her golden orange eyes caught sight of a few of her warriors. They had been given their orders for the day. Her Deputy had taken care of that.

She sank back inside her den and paced around some more. What was she going to do. Her muscles tensed. She needed to run... needed out of this den. Before she was the leader she was a fun loving warrior... no cares or problems aside from being loyal to her clan. Her ears flattened to her head. With a little trepidation she twitched her tail and left the den. She nodded to a couple warriors and made it out of the camp before she broke into a run.

She only stopped when she saw the border of thunderclan. With a sigh she lied down and closed her eyes. She would just clear her mind a little and then head back... She had some important things to do... there was an apprentice ceremony to do and GoldenWillow was due to have her kittens any day... And she needed to somehow figure out how to make the prey come back.

This particular day, Froreember had moved his prey scrounging efforts towards the ThunderClan border, diligently watching and waiting for any signs of prey, either lounging on ShadowClan lands already, or prey that had strayed bast the border within his reach.

As things would be though, there wasn't much prey to be had today, not near the borders at the very least. He had seen a ThunderClan border patrol today already. His polite greeting threw them for a bit of a loop, but there was still some spitting and cursing from them over the apparent trespassing going on. Froreember wasn't involved, so he didn't know much about it there, but he disliked the thought.

Nothing to be done about it now though. What happened happened, and that doesn't change the matter at hand being that ShadowClan needed freshkill.

Ears perked when he cause traces of another cat nearby, Silverstar if he wasn't to mistaken, and began picking his way towards where the fresh scent led. It would be rude to pass right by his leader without at least saying hello. and who knows, maybe something was wrong and he could assist. If she wanted to be left to her own thoughts though, no harm.

SilverStar's ears perked up. She heard someone coming. Letting off a small growl of warning she sat up to peer over the rock that was sheltering her. She relaxed visibly when she saw it was FroreEmber.

She frowned and licked her chest once before launching over the rock. She landed gracefully and shook herself. "FroreEmber! How are you." The way her fur was fluffed and her tail twitched showed just how much stress she was under. However, She was obviously trying hard to portray calm. "Have you seen any prey running today?" She glanced around. The only prey she had she was a thin mouse running around near the border on thunderclan's side.

Hearing the slight growl, Froreember found himself looking right into Silverstar's light orange eyes, his right ear automatically tugging down, nearly flat against his skull. Dipping his head shortly in respect to his leader, the younger tom blinked after a second, watching Silverstar carefully and processing her questions.

She seemed stressed. Extremely so. Understandable, as she is the ShadowClan leader, and as leader, the clan is your responsibility. This hunger that their clan was being faced with was widely considered up to her to fix. The empty stomach of every warrior, queen, elder, kit, and apprentice were up to her to look after and fill. One cat realistically can't do that, but all the same, that was the expectation. Still, she retained a certain degree of regal sort of composure, but it was forced.

Calm at a time like this would have to be forced. They were barely into leafbare and already the prey had very nearly run dry, if one were to use a RiverClan idiom.

"Silverstar," He returned cordially, wrapping his long and overly fluffy tail about his left hind leg, a sign he was parked in his spot and not about to take off. Maybe a bit of talking would do Silverstar some good? Venting. Although, it seemed not every cat was comfortable speaking to him. "Considering circumstances, I'm fine, thank you very much. I would hope the same for you, though it might appear you have been better. Your fur seems a bit neglected."

He paused a moment and cocked his head. Was that rude? Best keep on.

"But no, I haven't found anything today, a shame. I've been watching the territory near the ThunderClan border, and not a single creature has shown itself, other than a rather upset ThunderClan border patrol. It would seem some trespassing has occurred from our end."

Silverstar eyed his posture and took up a similar one. However she couldn't make the tip of her tail stay still. She eyed the tom carefully. She liked FroreEmber. He was a strong and brave warrior.

However, his words made her glance down over her fur. She starred, how had she let it get this bad. She made a mental note to fix her fur before she went back to camp. Silverstar passed it off with a laugh. "Yeah... im having a rough day... but i guess thats to be expected." She lifted her chin slightly.

However the news that he hadn't seen anything made her stance slouch just a bit. "Yeah...I wouldn't be surprised. The warriors are going hungry... And there isn't a blasted piece of prey running in the whole territory. " She flicked her tail and then turned her eyes up to the tomcat infront of her. She hadn't told the cats to trespass. But she hadn't told them not to either. "Im sorry FroreEmber... you don't need to listen to me vent." She offered a smile. "So... " she had the feeling of being a little too scruffy. With a quick glance around she licked her chest fur trying to get it back into place.
