Hearing the birds comfort him in Cecil's voice, Parker's lower lip trembled as tears came to his eyes. He didn't want to hear it, he didn't want to listen to the two of them fight. He couldn't stand it.
Feeling the remote come closer to his hand, he softly smiled, changing the channel to a cartoon movie about birds. "For us both," he said quietly.
Sawyer's hand slid off of the doorknob, falling to his side. "What the hell are you talking about? I don't want to leave you, Cecil. Why can't you be content with what we have?" He moved closer, pointing a finger at Cecil. "Why do you need such insane confirmation that I love you? Why do you need me to prove that I love you? What, are you afraid that the only way to keep me is to marry me? It certainly didn't work for my ex-wives!"
