Hel's Moutain Range

[BD Veloco]

Hel's mountain range is the Kingdom of Hel's territory and runs along the north of the Dre'sen Desert. Cave systems lead straight to the entrance city of Hel'serrel. these mountains are full of small scout groups of Lizardmen searching for food.

Lavin noticed that they where entering the mountain range. he raised the middle sail just in case things didnt go as planned. the Wind Sailer started to descend cause of the cold air and slowly the descended on the other side of the mountain soon will be over the dead coast
"interesting....odd that i have never seen your mother isn't it" studying the look on Avaa's face, he held the handle to the Sail maneuvering where they might end up

"That is strange. It's not like she hides away in the house or anything." She said. Avaa glanced over the edge of the sailer and shivered. "I bet her and dad had a huge blow out over me leaving. She doesn't like it when I leave Vartalune."

"Are you sure it wouldn't be wiser to wait until we're further away to do this?" Rolan asked, keeping a lookout from the mouth of the cave. He could hear the constant noise of Holly installing her new equipment to the Aerith. He wasn't truly concerned, he just wanted to get out of the damned heat.

"We're fiiiiiiiine." Holly reassured, attaching the last bit of armor to the Aerith, "It won't be too long. Just gotta reconfigure the core to compensate for the new weight and we'll be out of here."

"I’ll find you. I promise."

"If I may ask, miss schuldiner; why are we arming the Aerith?"

"Quite simple. I learned in the black market that Mike IS in fact in the panther tribe territory. I plan on waiting for him to leave to track him down, but if I get antsy and decide to go after him, it'll ensure we're relatively safe if things get hairy. Not only that, but I have it on good authority that the esteemed Redship Rohan has some interesting plans regarding Fargurr. Some drunk in the pub was more than happy to tell me about it."

"Then you are truly serious about-"

"Dead serious. That f*cker stole my ship."

The moon was high in the sky before they saw the Hel Mountain range. "I know of some outlining caves that connect to the main system and to the city. They aren't monitored much because of the colder temperatures and the amount of water in them. The lizard men don't like them, but you never know what else you'll run into."

Kyrious pulled his hood back and stretched, ruffling his wings beneath his cloak. Some time or another, he'd have to find a secluded place and really stretch out and re-arrange himself for comfort. "Do you have a plan of attack or are we just going to walk in there and have a throw down?

Droppio inspected the mouth of the cave and sniffed. There was the obvious signs of danger, but those would be anywhere near. He shrugged, and began walking inside, "First we'll probably have to try and find information." He said, pulling out a large, decorative button. It depicted an asbtract face covered erratically with horns. A keepsake taken from his 'master', "After that, it'll still be a bit of a crap shoot. Unless we can find a good reason for them NOT to kill us, we'll probably have to fight our way in."

"Hmph."

Kyrious couldn't understand exactly what this man wanted or sought out, but maybe he was too old to really understand. He hoped this young one's curiosity would train him to see the world in a new light. Or it would kill them both. One way or another, they would find out.

"Find some information? That could be a bit harder than you think in a place like this, but lead the show dear Droppio." He bowed with a flourish of his hand.

"If there's anything my past life as a human officer taught me, is that there's always information to be found. At a price of course." Droppio said matter-of-factly. He looked about in the cold, damp dark of the place. His eyes were slow to adjust still, but he could already make out more than most mortal creatures, "But that's a problem for once we are in the city." He sniffed, catching a whiff of something... other. It seemed to be either very far, or extremely close. The stench was too piercing for him to be able to tell, "If we make it at all..."

"Hmph."

"But getting the right information for the right price is the true quest." He smiled as he boldly lead the way into the cave. There was no telling just what might appear. It had been quite a while since he'd been there and his last encounter wasn't the most pleasant. The lizard people were among his least favorite of the races; though, he thought learning more about them might help him in his dislike... But then again, everyone seemed to have hatred towards one another for various reasons, why not himself.

"Shall we attract some attention on our way in and see who shows up?" He half whispered, not knowing who might be in ear shot. Maybe they were already known, maybe not.

"I think we'll get it soon enough, whether we want it or not." Droppio replied, closing his eyes. His low light vision was good, but anything native to these caves probably still had the advantage. There were the odd sound or two, but the echo made it hard to tell distance. He swore and opened his eyes, "There's definitely something around. Any idea what's native to these regions?"

"Hmph."

"Lizards." He spat and cringed at the same time. They were among his least favorite beings in this world, but not his most hated. "They're not the most pleasant of beings." He smiled, trying to remind himself that there were worse beings than the foul things crawling these wretched caves. "We'll be lucky to run into another vampire before running into one of those lizard men."

And with that thought, something distinctly moved in the shadows and he froze. Glancing back at Dopio, he waited for his response or action. There was no telling who or what was actually there, but this was his journey. Kyrious was just along for the ride.

Droppio sighed, "I guess there's no helping it." He said, cooling his hands, the skin becoming hard and rigid, yet somehow still mobile, "If we're likely to encounter them sooner or later, then it would be best to prove ourselves not worth the effort." Droppio could clearly smell the lizard now that it was closer. He cooled the rest of his body and dropped down to a crouched walk. All it would take was a strike to a vital spot. That was, however, if the creature presented itself...
