Well me being who I am, I feel like this topic needs to be discussed. Should gay marriage be allowed?

I am going to take the Libertarian stance on this. I don't care. I would allow it. It doesn't effect me. Government doesn't need to be in the bedroom. Just because I believe something different from you shouldn't dictate what's right and what's wrong. That's politically speaking. Personally speaking, I am a christian, so I would have a traditional marriage.

I also want to add that I would repeal "Defense of Marriage Act" (signed by Bill Clinton) at the Federal Level, and allow States to define Marriage, but ultimately, let Religion define Marriage. It's a First Amendment and States' Rights issue and should be treated accordingly.

I would Also agree to that, I'm not that big of a fan of allot of Bill Clinton's work. While he did do some really good stuff for the short term, he screwed the long term.

I definitely support homosexual marriage. Neither government or religion should dictate an individual's / partner's right to marry. It is an individual's choice that can not and may not be dictated by another person's or group's opinions.

if your gay your gay but the ability to marry should be held by the government with a vote on it that way at least the people would have a say in it

while it does become necessary for the government to control marriage because of all the legal benefits that come with legal marriage, i dont believe that the government or other citizens have the right to dictate who can and can not marry. I belive marriage should be equal in the sense that it allows any citizen to marry any citizen regardless of gender.
