Smiley considered it. That was such a particularly specific request, so he wasn't sure what kind of customers it'd attract. But Onryo made it sound obvious. Could it be that his need for the serum was already known by the whole city?

The feline gave a smile at how oblivious he was to her true identity. "Unfortunately, there is a slight issue with your request. Dr Decius is immortal. If you really want his serum, I will get it for you, but you should be aware that this is not a normal thing for assassins."

She paused for a second and sighed briefly. This was going to be a pain in her a**. "Where should I drop off the serum once I get it?"

The man hesitated. Immortal? So that drug, it wasn't ordinary, it wasn't even ordinary in the realm of unordinary. It had to be linked with immortality. Wait. He shook his head. No, he was thinking crazy thoughts. The doctor has to have become immortal already before getting the smiling elixir, right? That had to be it. And even if it did make him immortal, if it made him happy than that's all that mattered.
"Can you leave it in my hotel room? Do you need to know where I am?" He paused before adding another message. "Why would you steal the serum? You're an assassin, not a thief. If you don't mind me asking."

Niji really didn't want him to figure out who she was. Then again, if he went psycho after taking these, someone was going to have to show him how it was done. Especially if he planned on strangling people. His form was terrible.

For a top rated assassin, Onryo was quite nice. After writing out his address, Smiley thanked the assassin. Now all that he had to do was wait with baited breath. In mere moments he would have the key to happiness.

It was a few hours later that Niji stood outside the hotel holding an envelope with the requested serum inside. Didn't want to risk anyone seeing it and thinking she was up to something. Pulling her hood up as she went to the front desk, the feline gave an oh-so-cheerful smile and held up the envelope. "Hi, my friend said he was staying here and i wanted to give him this. Can you make sure the man with the bag on his head gets this? His name's Smiley." she hummed, tail twitching behind her.

Once the front desk had the envelope, she headed back outside and pulled out her phone, messaging him its location. Now she just had to wait and see what his reaction to that crazy serum would actually be.

Smiley had been drifting to sleep when his phone buzzed, startling him awake. He adjusted his paper mask before looking down, freezing as he caught the message.
It took ten minutes for him to run back into his room, elixir in hand. He would've been here faster if the elevator didn't take so slow. The serum, he couldn't believe it was really with him. Was this real? Was it some cheap fake? Good thing there was a paper bag over his head, he felt like he was hyperventilating.
Striding to his bed and sitting down, Smiley ripped open the envelope and pulled out the syringe, gazing at the green, gooey serum inside it. So this was the key to happiness. How surreal. Imagine, in a matter of seconds he would never be haunted by that cold darkness again. And then maybe then... Maybe then he could see him again and fix things.
Inhaling slowly then holding his breath, Smiley pulled back his sleeve and waited for the blue vein to pop out before stabbing it with the needle, ignoring the prickle of pain and injecting the green goo. It was cold, it made him shudder.
After putting the syringe up, Smiley waited for about ten minutes for it to take effect. Nothing happened. He didn't even feel any form of drowsiness normal medicine would have. No wait, he was feeling something. Anger. He was ripped off. Maybe he'd hire an assassin to get that assassin for-
It hit him. It hit him hard, like a truck.
Smiley yelled out as a sudden, sharp pain overtook him, causing him to curl up in fetal position. "It burns! It burns!!" he screamed while scratching his arms vigorously. He felt like an immense pressure had been put on him, as though a car had been pressed down on him. The pain controlled his every thought, he wanted to scream or to throw up, and a mind-splitting burn ate away at him.
He rolled around on the bed, falling down and continuing to roll until he hit a dresser, causing the room service phone to fall. He screamed in pain again... and then something strange happened. He laughed. Could it be that the pain was so horrific that his mind was convinced it was funny? Was he panicking? No... No it wasn't that. As he sat up and looked at his hands, he realized the reason for his continuous laughter, a crackle that got louder and louder with each passing second.
It was because he felt good.
