So, I've been hung up on something from my past lately.

And it got me wanting to make an rp for it, but not here. I have guilds that need attention that I bought awhile back but haven't really done anything with.

I'm thinking persona ladies and gentlemen. And I don't mean 3 or 4. I mean Revelations Persona.

I picked the game back up and started playing it on my ps1. Yes, I said ps1, not psp, ps2, or ps 3. p. s. 1. And as I played I was dragged back into an amazing game that I had forgotten so much about. And it got me thinking.

Honestly, I've been in some persona rps. And they stank. Horribly so.
Between people over powering their personas and crappy story lines I have left these rps in the dust. But now...... it's bugging me. And I want to take a shot at it.

I'm trying to piece together a story line line by line that'll leave fans of the series in that happy place they turn to when the world seems a little dark. But I've come across a problem. When it comes to throwing together a guild I am extremely lazy at times.

Something about the process leaves me wanting more. But I am struggling to overcome this handicap to bring something really exciting to the board.

There's just one problem. All the people I know in other guilds either don't know about Persona, or have run into the very same problems I have run into time and time again when it comes to such rps.

So! I want feed back!

Is this a worthy endeavor? Or do you think that this is doomed from the start because of so many blase rps before?

Please comment! And if you like it, please support my efforts and help me with ideas, comments, and the such. I just gotta know before I try this, because it would be a waste to do if I have nobody onboard.

But i would do all the forms of summoning your Persona (Natural, Evoker, and Card) and allow copying a existing Persona but limiting the skills. I would do levels or anything though for two reasons 1 time and 2 complicated system has to be made.

hm, I honestly hadn't thought about the summoning aspect of it, but if I do that it would open up some interesting story devices that I could use in the story. As for the persona themselves, I was going to take the later games' perspective and have the personas develop as the characters that control them did. I was also going to put in some NPC's that would help the beginning people as they develop and then fade off in different ways so that they didn't over power the groups that I'm sure will develop as the story begins to take off. Your comment has definitely given me things to think about though.

As for helping, I will need people to help me run the guild. There's no way that I'll be able to hold together the basic functions of the guild while trying to run an entire town of people so that the characters can develop in their own ways. So that means, if you're going to be on my crew you need to be able to play sa couple NPCs as well. I'm going to making this as interesting as I can and doing that's going to require other minds to help flesh out the personalities of those who are in the world. Don't get me wrong, I've handled 50+ characters in some of the RPs I've done and kept them wonderfully vibrant and different, but that's not only taxing, but also unfair to those who are on board to help.

I also still want comments and concerns. As well as ideas for the story and systems for every thing else about the guild. I love ideas, the more I get the more I can tweak this thing to be as close to perfect as I can get it.

I also wanted to say that some familiar faces will be in the story. Like Igor ( of course), Philemon, and just maybe JOKER as well as others from the different games. Who knows, I may even throw in characters you throw at me.

Also, I will limit those who are able to use the wild card ability. It gets cheap if it's too common and it's brought up in the games time and time again that it's a rare thing when it manifests. Just FYI there.

i'll help you with some npc's,if its one thing i'm good at,is getting into character smile ,also i like to help monitor whatever,labrinyth,tartarus or bizarre world you have develop for the members who are to rp,^^sounds interesting,and hope to be one of the bad guys and the people who guide people through the place,like teddy!

I say let some of the first people who are in the crew and have them control the old main characters that will work kinda as the "god" like characters who would be used as a last resort to keep control of the chaos. And i agree about the wild card thing it is cheep in many other persona rps. I can help with characters and all that and i don't like rping with people who louse interest real fast i have alot of free time and i don't like waiting days for reprocess. Oh and the summoning you noted is the Natural form basically from the anime Trinity Souls

i've got plans for the starter characters who are going to help the new guys get in and trust me their going to have major plot armor in the beginning. I'm going to need people to help with the side characters for sure though.

as for the summoning, thanks for the idea. i know what the different forms of summoning are, but i hadnt thought about using more than the one. but now i'm incorporating the multiple summoning styles into the story. this is going to be fun once i get some of the finer details worked out.

Wow, I've been playing many of the other games from the creator, I've been a bit out of touch with Persona, but I do like your idea.
I'm well versed in handling a Guild, if that would hel, at all, and after I'm done refreshing my memory of the game, hopefully I can be of help there, too.

I say do it!
Worst case scenario, you've just wasted some time and effort, but still got some fun out of it, and that's all that really matters, right?

it's nice to see that people are getting behind this idea. I'm still putting together things in the guild so it might be a bit still before it's totally up. and i'm sure that the help will be appreciated when i do get it up. XD
