Like if you're on a conference call and the operator is all "we're now going to take questions, Press blahblahblah on your phone if you want to ask a question. We have a question from blankety-blank."

I might just be that operator, if it's a sexy-professional female voice.

I do a lot of calls for uh, some really big companies, and I do a butt-ton of quarterly-results conferences. Sometimes if I'm lucky, I get to do neat webinars, but usually it's the boring "we made money / we didn't make money / we hope to make money next quarter" stuff. I know more about the financial industry than I ever wanted to know.

Yeah, I've done all sorts of conference calls.

But don't ask me what I've learned from them. Not only do I have an NDA, but I don't actually pay any attention to them. I tune them out until they go "And with that said, blahblahblahblah operator do we have any questions?"

I was told that if I didn't post in this thread, I would have my bottom set on fire. Since I do not want that to happen, I guess I should give you some info on me without revealing any personal information that would, God forbid, identify my real name.

That being said, I am an old bassid (born in 1979 if you get the drift) from a Navy family who has split his time between television production and animal training. Not both at the same time, though, but that's a possible venture I will take. I've also done the occasional anime convention, most notably the Nekocon which is an easy drives away from me. I've dabbled in documentaries, have a Weimaraner, drive a Scion xB (curse Gaia's indirect marketing), and am very fond of Ginger Ale. Also, I have a personal vendetta against Lanzer thanks to the cover-up of the location of the tiny Pikachu plushie I gave him upon meeting him at Otakon 2004.

I'm Astrine (I pronounce it as a**-train. lul.) and I'm socially awkward both in irl and online (hence why I don't post as much), but I'm trying to fix it. I don't have the best grammar either. sweatdrop I'll be attending at a community college during fall to get an AS degree as a Registered Nurse. However, I don't plan on making RN my permanent job. Anyway, I'm (currently) a twenty-six year old Hot Topic Employee! It's honestly the best job I've ever had, and I don't think I've ever been so happy to go to work before!
When I'm not working at my favourite store, I do art for money (Abstract / Surrealism / Whimsical art, and some NSFW stuff when bills really need to be paid- as of late I've been doing more NSFW s**t because its what makes me the most money, so I'm kinda like "Eh. Ok. This works, I guess?"). I'm currently looking into Ghost Writing for a little extra cash, as I'm a much better writer than I am anything else. Uhhhhh. . . . wha else. . . . . I guess that's it for now!
