Niom groaned and covered his face in embarassment when they came across the servant's room. but he recodnized the fear in the room and he knew he was screwed. litterally and figuratively. "tell me your name first," he said again, stubbornly. he was put down, thankfully, and he had to cover his nose with the cloth from his cloak, trying to no gag from the smell and waves of pain and misery coming from the poor creature. but then it was dead and Niom shook his head. "You're sick." he shook his head and dropped the cloak, able to control himself now that he didn't have to feel the poor creatures emotions. "you want me to bring this creature back to life? it would have been easier to just heal it while still alive..." he sighed and shook his head before holding his hand over the creature and closing his eyes. his magic moved from him to the creature and he took a deep breath. "i-believe i can help you, but you swear to leave me alone if i do?"

"I'm not sick, scientist is what you're looking for. much like your master was with you. But whereas he found his subjects, I create them." And slapped Niom's hand as he held it out. "No. You will tell me what I did wrong with it, I will edit the spell you see here on the floor." Which was covered in copious amounts of blood, no doubt this creature had died and been revived many times. "and I'll leave you alone for the most part. You learn to love me. Like fungus." he explained with a chuckle, taking out the paint he was using. "Now tell me what I have done wrong with this spell."

Niom sighed, "What you did wrong was to try this spell at all." he shook his head and pulled his hand back. "but you combined a reptile with a mammal using a speel that is meant for combining two of the same type. you need to alter this part a little..." he walked over to a section of the spell and bent down, "here, change this. the symbol seta should be a messia. and the chant should be a little different as well. instead of a hositia litle to the s's and t's you should emphasize the e's and m's."

"Don't be rude, I'll steal your clothes." He commented, grabbing another bucket of paint and bending down, painting over it before painting the new symbol, walking around the creature and continuing his edits, making a full circle back to Niom and kissing his neck. "Good boy. Now let's see if you're correct." And held his hand out to the creature, chanting the spell, listening to he snaps and cracks as the bone structure of the creature re-aligned itself, hearing an intake of breath as the creature re-awoke, adjusting it's eyes before spotting Liki. The warlock couldn't help but grin as it seemed to flinch away in fear. "Wonderful! Oh you are indeed a beauty." he cooed, hugging the beasts head lovingly as though it were a child. "Ni did a wonderful job."

Niom shivered and clasped his hands over his neck after the other's kiss. he'd have to alter his clothes to have high collars if he wanted to stay sane around this man. he felt sorry for the creature and almost wished he hadn't helped Xin bring it back to life. but he didn't want to think about what would have happened had he not helped. Niom saw Xin caressing the creature and cooing at it and saw this as his chance. he turned and ran, slamming through the door with magic and then placing a barrior over it once he was through. he knew it wouldn't hold the other, but it's slow him down. Niom remembered the path to Xin's bedroom where his book was and was there in no time. he might not be strong, but damn it, he was fast. he threw the door open and dove for the book, but a barrior around the bed threw him back and he cursed before he started to work away at the spel, his hands splayed over the barrior as he softly chanted, praying he'd break it before Xin caught up to him.

"Aw, I scared Mommy away." And continued to hug the creature before leading it out the door, looking at the snake like tail as it hung limply, still afraid. "Oh don't be afraid of Daddy. Come now, we'll go find Mommy, Chimera." and walked down the hallways curiously, cooing words to the beast before growing bored. Where on earth? He could easily find his bedroom from the front door. A large pulse of his magic hit him and he turned, peering down the hallway and moving, focusing on the magic before opening his hand with a smile, summoning the book. Just as Ni broke the barrier the book was gone.

"Now Mommy will find us. Let's go find the kitchen and feed you, you're so skinny." and turned a different route, ushering the beast along.

Niom smiled when he fiinally broke the barrior and reached out for his book, but as his fingers closed over it, the book dissapeared. "No!" he cried softly and hit the bed. he knew where the book was, it was with that damned Xin. "to the depths of the skies i curse you!" he growled before turning to the door. he could sense the book, sense the pulse of magic that called him to it and knew exactly were Xin was. he also knew that Xin would be smugly waiting for him to obediently come back to him, tail between his legs so to speak. "damn it-" he didn't want to chance Xin taking it out on his book if he refused to go to the other. with a sigh he left the bedroom and followed the call of the book until he found himself in the kitchen with Xin and the creature. he crossed his arms and leaned against the doorframe, waiting and keeping silent for now.

"Ni, come help me feed our love child." he teased, holding up a giant slab of meat and offering it to the beast. The chimera took it hungrily, smacking away at it before lying down, the warlock cleaning his hands before rubbing the tousled fur. "Such a lovely creature you are. What brings you here anyway, Ni? I thought you were going to get your book. What happened?" Every work was filled with mocking, silver eyes looking at the mage with a smirk, getting another slab of meat and offering it to the chimera. "I think we should name him Edwin. Do you like Edwin?" he fell to his knees and hugged him. "I don't think Mommy likes you, Edwin." and continued to rub at the beast until it cautiously rolled onto it's side, Liki scratching its belly. "And it's paws are so large and soft. Well, two paws are you have two hooves as well."

Niom didn't bother to answer Xin, the other knew exactly why he was back here. he turned his head away from the creature, but being called 'mommy' made him turn back. "I by no means created that creature. if it needs a mother as well as a father let it find both within you, Xin. i'll have nothing to do with it." he turned his head away and tried to figure out ways to get his book back, but with it on the mage's person it was almost impossible. Niom could feel the strength of the protective spells placed on Xin and because the book was with Xin, on the book as well. "why do you want me? i am just a castle healer. no one of importance."

"Aw you helped it live a pain free life for the rest of it's life. You are very much it's mother, isn't he, Edwin?" And pet the thing behind its ears, looking up. "and I needed an assistant, and I got you. My sons decided to leave me for various, teenage, rebellious reasons." he said, waving his hand before shrugging. "So I let them. Who am I to deny them an educational experience. If you claim Edwin to be our love child and feed him, I shall give you my real name. But in return you will give me yours like promised." he said with a smile, cutting off another thick slice of meat. It certainly got the chimera's attention, sitting up and staring. "and you are very important, a half-demon. So you will have everything to do with my affairs or you will be my affair. The servants will certainly be happy."

Niom growled and a slice of the meat cut itself and floated to the chimera, hovering there until the creature took it into it's mouth and ate it. "there, i fed it. now tell me your real name, Xin." he turned to face the other mage and was surprised he'd actually let the boys go. Niom wouldn't be surprised if Liki had killed them-or if they were a part of the chemra that stood before him. the servants would be happy? that made Niom's stomach twist, he'd seen the looks on the servant's faces when Liki had appeared at their door. if their being happy at his arrival had anything to do with those looks, Niom knew his life was going to hell in a very, very short amount of time

Edwin chewed happily, growing more and more comfortable around the sadistic man, even purring gently at the petting. "Such an uncaring mother you are, Ni. But I shall keep my word." And kissed the beasts head. "I am Liki Yestorder, a warlock of black magic, defensive and offensive magic. I do not heal though, but i am sure you're well aware of that." He purred, receiving a louder purr from the beast. "See? he likes his father. I created all the birds in that room. Smaller creatures are much easier than larger ones." And smirked at Ni. "And your name, beautiful one?"

Niom blushed at the other's compliments and turned hsi head away, "Niom. my name is Niom, so stop calling me such rediculous things." Liki, the man's name was Liki Yestorder. he'd have to remember that for when he escaped and made his report. "yes, they are easier, and you most likely were making them out of other similar creatures. you wouldn't have had the problems you did if you had factored in that you were trying to combine and warm and cold blooded creature into one." he shrugged, Liki might be strong, but he didn't seem t bright. just cruel

"Well that's a lovely name. Niom. It just rolls off the tongue doesn't it? Niom." and stood, rinsing off his hands before placing down a large bowl of water for Edwin. "No, I managed to mix mice and birds together, edited the noises they make. Bats and birds can mix well also, despite being two very different species." He explained before standing up and walking toward Niom. "Niom, oh how I do love your name." he purred, nuzzling the other's neck before running his tongue across the sensitive skin. "You would do well not to underestimate me. Even you know a larger spell is harder to keep track of." he murmured, hot breath against the man's ear as he kissed it, nipping at the earlobe.

Niom tenced as Liki neared, and put his hands on the other's chest as the man began to attack his neck. a small groan escaped as Niom tried to push Liki away, "stop it, you said you'd leave me alone." when Liki moved to his earlobe he took the oportunity to strengthen the collar of his shirt and then lengthen it so it came up to the top his his neck, protecting it from anything further Liki chose to do to the collom of flesh. "stop it, Liki!" he pushed the other away enough to slip past him and back into the hall, "i acknowlege your ability. you're powerful to make such a thing as the chemera, but from now on leave me out of it."
