At first Frank was about to make a beeline to the stairs to escape Toby's wrath, but it was shot fast as he felt a tug on the back of his shirt to reel him back in. Jeremy was serious about finding a good enough excuse because when it came to Toby in a bad mood no one was really safe, especially the cause of the dilemma. In known defeat he stood there with Jeremy as the dead weight wings started to twitch back to life, wrapping themselves partially back on the couch and off the ground as Toby was trying to get back to senses. At that point Frank had to start talking before getting any word from him.

"Sssso yeah.....now I can see that the ssiren isss a little too loud if thisss happens as a result, like I ssaid to Jeremy the next time wont knock you out cold. Then again we all make mistakesss right?"

Jeremy just dropped his head to the ground at hearing the excuse Frank was able to come up with from seeing the annoyance in Toby's eyes trying to adjust, on the other hand it was better that he even made anything up instead of the pointing fingers and using Jeremy as a scapegoat.

Being quiet without another word Frank went to work on inpecting the hearing aids as Jeremy hand them to him, nothing could be really seen on the outside casing however it probably did something on the inside that the naked eye couldn't see right there. Looking over to Jeremy he nod lightly before rising up to retreat to the basement, where the tinkering of small pieces could start and at the same time give Toby a little quiet instead of continuing the bickering of trying to stay off the chopping block. True Toby could easily start tearing into him, but the ringing gave him such a headache that even hearing himself yelling still hurt him. Jeremy rubbed one of his shoulders as Toby tried to focus without his hearing devices on, picking up the smallest of sounds from upstairs and the basement stairs of footsteps and creaks of the house.

"Now that thingsss have quieted down, probably jusst spend the resst of the night regaining back your balance. I didn't have much of a clue that loud noise irritate my hearing but nearly knock you uncincious, as you heard usss argueing about Frank will make sure that thing issss adjusted."

He looked up to the banister of the stairway and see the noise had alerted everyone else from their room to look at what was happening. Issac on the other hand, had heard the noise in the hall and was in a panic mode running around spooked before Marcel took hold of a tail feather to ring him back in from his spaz out moment. Toby looked up slightly to see the eyes looking from the top floor, and waved slightly to know he was fine but stun.

Even at the most wrong of times Marcel would find any chance to pick with Toby, especially when it was the fact of getting spotted. Instead he had forgotten about being knocked out and just wanted to get after Marcel before being sent back sitting.

"Let that one ssslide thiss time, I'm sure itsss all but him bluffing up a storm jusst to get you all sssteamed. Relax a little bit and then do what you like when the ringing is clear of out your ears. Ssso what if you got one photo in it'sss not a big deal if it was an accident."

Toby didn't think to revolt again but even the most tolerant of people have their breaks when an instigator likes to pick. Marcel smirked looking to the magazine before Sam took it to look for herself.

"So the secretive leader of Nightshade was caught in the lens for once, must've been someone pretty good to catch it with the way you move." she said slightly in a mock and smile.

Even with him trying his best to deny the embarrassment the snickering was still lingering, but who could blame him for being caught off guard by a lens. As he said the light, even with his mask on was enough to go through his eyes to cause him to be blind as a bat with no pun intended. If it wasn't his friends and comrades making it a laugh, it was probably even ten times worse with the rookies on the force that had a hoot with Toby's misfortune to not be as sharp when light is involved. Red in the face he decided to listen to Jeremy and let it slide just this once to regain his hearing back to balance, the last thing anyone needed was him trying to get his hand on Marcel for being himself and knock into stuff just as it did that night with the rookie. Of course for Toby there were many ways to get them back later, since the fact of having an undercover detective that could really go bump in the night if provoke enough.

Sam shrugged her shoulders and just put it in thought of one of Toby's 'good sides' gone bad just as it was many times before, only this time around it probably was worth seeing for those that were there to witness the calamity.
"Don't be too grumpy about it, I'm sure you get your payback one way or another even if it means giving a good scare to prove a point of humor."

Of course this wasn't the first time he had to dodge a pan, then again anyone that happen to be in the kitchen whenever Sam was in there usually watch where things fly with cooking not her best traits. Just the same as Toby she had a tendency to start something, and not realize something was burning when the smoke leaks out from the room.

This time was a lucky point as the pan met contact with the water with a loud hiss along with steams that spooked Issac once again till he hit the corners of the counter a couple times before making a running climb on top of the counter like a scared cat. This had Sam slightly annoyed, yet at the same time did everything to keep the smoke alarms from blaring and making more of a ruckus, taking a rag from the handle to fan the faint smoke into the open window.

With that out of the way Issac climbed down from the counter looking around to check if it was clear to come down to the ground, nothing was in sight but Sam's expression of wondering what he was thinking. Seeing her he jerked his head near the fruit bowl and swiftly took a fruit and scooting out of the kitchen. Sometimes it was hard to understand Issac at times, but even after a good spook he was as wired as if on a fling of sugar just as Frank would be with caffeine. She finally came out to see the sight of the boys looking at her with a slight snickering smirk planted on their faces, knowing well what just happened at a failed attempt at cooking and a spooked bird in the kitchen. This didn't even have Sam in a laugh mode, decided to add insult to injury with Toby and the ability to burn something simple as warm blood, something they both had as a flaw and just as humorous from the other.

It was hard to tell what he was stepping on as his improved aids were ringing just as sharp from the shrieks coming from his friend, along with a chain of choice words that were distorted. Toby realized from looking down he was stepping on a tail that was connected to Frank, tugging away from him to get away and not get defensive and angry. He finally let off his foot as Frank recoiled his tail into his hand rubbing the spot that got staep.
"Jussst like you I have nervesss in places I'm ssstill getting used to, I get it already your earsss are the sssame way as my....eh...tail now." Even Frank felt a little awkward to saying so, but now he had a tail now and the nerve endings had already came into setting. Of course he was still in pain and tried to rub it off, but like Toby is with his hearing he wasn't much of a good sport about it flicking his tongue a few times to give a point he was ticked about it.
"Oh well I guesss accidentss are gonna happen from time to time if I let the thing drag on the floor, but then again hard to hide sssso easy." he said watching his mouth a little more not to spit with the distorted speech.

No matter how many times Frank heard the noise it refused to settle in, just the rattling noise even made him quiver slightly like there was a snake in the room even if he was the cause of the sound. He let it fall from his hand with a thud on the ground that had him flinch from the tender nerves doing their best to get used to the rest of his body, and a stunt like that didn't help that much.

Toby couldn't help but to crack a little smile from Frank's actions, but at the same time it was just like him still getting used to his ears twitching to almost every sound that came in his perimeter. Like everyone else that had been changed, the young hybrid snake to be was going to deal with whatever new was to pop up next, of course he didn't know how bad off it was going to get as he heard flicking right behind him.

"Ssssso, looksss like you've been hiding a little sssomething that showed itself on it's own with the action of feeling pain."
Frank heard Jeremy and instantly turned to the sound of his voice, nearly whacking him off his feet with his tail but Jeremy was just as quick to react and dodge the uncontrollible thing.

"Firssst thing first about thissss, your gonna have to learn to control that tail of yourssss, before you end up knocking down everyone you come in contact with. A good possible weapon yessss, but not becoming an intentinal one."

Frank didn't know how to respond to this, but the cat was out of the bag and exposed and it was time to hear it from Jeremy once again of how to be like a snake and stay in check.
"It's not like I try to ram people down with thissss thing already, I need to try not to get it in the way of ssssomeone's feet." he said in a muffled slurred huff.
