Legio was listening to her explanation. It showed something new he did not know yet. Then she vanished from his sight only to reappear before him striking him on the chest and once on his forehead.

A few seconds went by as he waited for something to happen. But there was nothing.

"It seems not effective against someone who has no fixed body structure. I am not sure if I should classify as a Metahuman. I look human but that is it." Legio said a bit disappointed. Then without warning he struck with an open palm to her chest.

Freya crossed her arms at the last possible moment and released her silver aura. She was knocked back again, but less severely as a result of her defense. She quickly popped back up and replied, "I'm not done. The points I struck were connected to the Life Gate. So if I'm right..."

She banged her fists together and released the gold aura. With a dash she threw an uppercut into Legio's stomach, releasing a shotgun-esque burst, and growled, "...that bullshit invulnerability of yours should be broken."

"Gidget from her world? "Theo thought to himself. Then he began to realize something. And he hoped he was wrong.

"No no no, not now. What is it? Future? Alternate Timeline? We got our hands full with Eclipse right now." Theo said hoping they didn't need their help.

"Both future and alternate timeline, I'm afraid. After months of searching, we have found the safest universe, and it's yours. The world I was created in is on the verge of collapse, and so it was decided that the best course of action would be to secure the lives for the last generation. We were hoping they could take refuge with you."

Thea sighed and looked down, realizing that she was actually being carried.

"Wow. You must be really strong. I weigh a lot because of my special."

She looked back up at Cassandra and asked, "Is there gonna be food at your place?"

It was interesting. All of this talk about gates. What would happen if she connected her final strike? His curiosity got the better of him. Legio decided to receive the blow. His excitement was shown on his face. He seemed happy.

The disruptive effect of strike and the sheer force of it caused him to be blown away. Skipping across the field, he eventually came to a stop. Something inside of him was disturbed. Cassandra's power was still there but the connection to it was damage or rather...blocked. Legio was...happy despite all of this. It did not take him long to get up with a honest smile on his face.

"You have blocked my access to it. Fascinating. " He had to shout to have his voice cover the distance properly. For a moment he crouched before the ground behind him seemingly exploded from the force he kicked off with towards Freya. It was a simple straight forward strike but launched with deadly force.

Theo listened as he tried to formulate a proper response. He wanted to help but would it be wise to take them in whilst still facing Eclipse? A part of him said that extra forces to fight Eclipse wouldn't be bad, another part of him hated that he thought that.

"If this is the safest universe then the multiverse is a terrible place to live in. We are facing an ancient being who wants to release even older ones that consume everything. Like Legion only on global scale, if you've had him over there. I'd want nothing more than to help but it may not be as safe as you might think. We might be the ones that need the help." He said carefully.

Cassandra smiled at the girl.

"I am. Strongest there is." She responded. If this girl weighed as much as she did then she did need a lot of food. It was the same with Cassandra, she was also a lot heavier than she looked. She too needed a lot of food.

"We have some things at home but the cafeteria has a lot more. Do you want to go there instead?"

Ako sensed a burst of radio in the air, followed by the muffled clatter of magazines being swapped in rifles. It sounded as though the soldiers were no longer interested in bringing them in alive. That would make things more difficult. With his only defense being offense, he fired off a bolt of lightning towards the soldiers, and rolled to take cover behind a dumpster. An alleyway was a poor location for a one-sided gunfight. He realized that this was how shooting gallery targets must feel.

The bolt of lighting hit one soldier directly in the chest, detonating the grenades attached to his vest. The explosion took out the 3 soldiers within the kill zone and caused the others to scatter and seek cover.

She needed to find another way. Perhaps find a better way to take out the troops. Since their camouflage was off she figured she could take advantage of their shadows. Trinity saw Ako take down 3 at once, then head down an alley. Perhaps a good idea if guns weren't involved to take them out one by one. She hoped to help level the playing field. She used the shadows of those troops to form a doppelgänger of herself in the line of sight. She covered her mouth, her voice came from the direction of the shadow golem, "Hey! Looking for something?"

When their attention was drawn she dropped down into her shadow and started sharply hitting the pressure points that would disable their arm that was holding the gun. As the guns dropped to the ground they fell into their own shadows and were sent to Gidget's lab in a pile in the corner where she would enter in.

"Ako! I'm going after the kids! I'll be back!"

Hopefully this was enough for Ako can now handle on his own. She dropped through her shadow again.

With a flash and a boom, three soldiers were down, and Ako knew he couldn't hope to get that lucky again. He glanced around the dumpster to see Trinity disarm the others before dropping into her own shadow. Okay, that just left him alone with a group of soldiers suddenly without ranged weapons. Unless they had sidearms, the odds were now in his favor. He boldly stepped out from his cover to fire a duo of lightning bolts at the remaining soldiers, one bolt from each hand. A voice at the back of his head reminded him not to get cocky, but he had this. He'd taken on more thugs in his wandering years. He could take these guys.

He looked directly into Deora's eyes and nodded, "I do. I can fully open your source and give you the full extent of your power. What would've taken you years of maturation and practice will be achieved in seconds. I believe your power could trump his if it were stronger."

"But without your permission and willingness I could really hurt you, or worse. I need your complete and unquestioned trust.

For some reason, the act of the boy looking into her eyes unnerved Deora. Perhaps it was because she knew he could really look into them. He could see what was behind them, and would probably know her answer before she herself did.

She didn't like the idea of spontaneously being granted her full potential. It felt like cheating. Her parents taught her that all good things in life were earned. Skill at Soccer only came through practice. Good grades only came through studying. She has practiced everyday, and studied every night until she fell asleep. In the end, she felt that she had truly earned every trophy, and every B or A. The hard work made that sense of accomplishment feel better. To be given something like that as a gift just felt... wrong.

But this was a completely different situation. It wasn't for a cheap trophy, or letters on a paper, it was her friends' lives. There was no time to train, or learn. Now was the perfect time for a cheat code.

She closed her eyes and took a breath. When she opened her eyes again, their determined look could have turned their watery blue to ice. She nodded to Damien.

"Do it."

Freya withdrew her gold aura and dashed in a manner similar to Legio. She understood now. One way or another, it was going to be her last fight. She was going to push herself harder than she ever had before.

Her fist collided directly with Legio's, causing an explosion of force that dislodged the cubes around them violently.

"Fascinating? b***h, I'm inconceivable." she quipped with a confident grin. She had to admit, she was also enjoying herself.

Digit looked solemn for a moment and said, "Had...I'm afraid the proper phrase is have. Gidget and the others failed to destroy Legion. Humanity has been slowly consumed since then. The last remnants had finally managed to secure a tentative safe haven when something much worse, much larger, parted the clouds. It's not known what it is, but the behavior of Legion became much more precise and violent when it arrived."

"They are young, but they've only known war. They must be saved before Legion consumes everything. "

Theonis was silent as Digit explained what happened on their side. He wanted more details because if they failed to stop Legion does that mean that he died over there? That was one thing that worried him but another was that the Decaelum arrived in their time. He could only surmise that was the case.

"That...sounds like the Decaelum. The ones Eclipse is trying to free over here. It's a long origin story that can wait. How many of you are left? This place is not the safest right now but I'll see what I can do. " Theo responded. There's no way he could let them die knowing he could save them. There's been a great lack of saving people since all of this started and he'd like to turn that around.

"Send a few people over. We could say it's safe but if they really only know war then they'd need to see it for themselves."

Without the invulnerability of Cassandra he could be damaged. But his body was not ordinary. Far from it. Biomass had hardened to absorb the impact. Despite not having a heart he felt it pound. It trembled. This was exciting. Hair and eyes shifted to green. Legio paid no heed to the destruction of the environment. Only this woman who had locked eyes with.

"You are already much better than those cloned dolls he takes such pride in." The fist that connected with Freya coursed with lightning that he would send through her.

Thea gripped Cassandra's shirt tightly and looked down. She swallowed hard and whispered, "W-will there be a lot of people there?"
