More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"Simple terms...the enemy. They experiment on all Meta's they can get their hands on. Trying to control them, tweak them, torture...you name it. Freya was captured by them and they tried to extract Silhoutte if I recall correctly. They were the ones wearing out uniform to take down those choppers. Trying to start a war against us, Valhalla."Theo explained.

"Those affected by the meteor's live here in peace. It's the only place they can go to. Their safehaven. Valhalla."

Rydia studied Theonis for a moment. She was highly tempted to strip his mind with her left eye, but decided that there was too much risk in reducing him to a drooling invalid.

She looked around at the destroyed lab and huffed, "Safehaven? Are you sure about that?"

Theo scratched the back of his head.

"We have our fair share of bad days. Trinity and her squads usually keep the place safe. We can't foresee every action they take."

The cubes stopped before hitting Legio. Multiple clean cuts ran through them before they broke to uneven smaller pieces. The chunks began to twirl around Legio as if caught in a storm. Then it all came to a stop when he located his foe. Like being shot from a machine gun the chunks were fired at their target.

Strength cursed as she realized she was dealing with a telekinetic as well as a telepathic psychic. She deftly dodged several of the chunks by agilely hopping from cube to cube, but the last piece caught her just as she landed on a cube.

She took it full on and was crushed between it and another floating cube. The combined mass fell to the ground with a resounding crash that brought up a dust cloud.

There was a few seconds of silence before the rubble began to shift. Strength stood up easily as the dust settled. She just stood there and glared at dust with her bright and dangerous eyes. Just behind her it looked like some sort of chain had attached itself between her back and the ground beneath her.

Theo scratched the back of his head.

"We have our fair share of bad days. Trinity and her squads usually keep the place safe. We can't foresee every action they take."

Rydia looked back at the monitor and thought for a moment. She looked back to Theonis and asked, "You said 'they.' That must mean it is an organization or an army to be able to conduct such atrocities. Where do I find them?"

This girl was physically greatly enhanced. It reminded him of Cassandra.

"That cannot be all. Come now. Show me something more interesting." Legio spoke calmly. He was not the agressor in this and wouldn't strike first.

"If I tell you, then you will run of and get yourself killed. Endure it for now. Eclipse is planning something big. So please, bear it until we can fight him. If you really want to fight then you can fight me if you want. Just not here." Theo said trying to reason with her." But on a different note. Weren't you with Liv?"

This girl was physically greatly enhanced. It reminded him of Cassandra.

"That cannot be all. Come now. Show me something more interesting." Legio spoke calmly. He was not the agressor in this and wouldn't strike first.

"Wait for it." she replied.

The ground beneath Legio cracked and split as a metal tendril with a pike at the end of it burst out of the ground and wrapped itself around Legio. As tendril pulled taught it tore itself out of the ground, going on until it went back to it's source. What was behind Strength wasn't a chain, but a "tail" that was connected to her back.

The tail retracted swiftly, with the intent to yank Legio toward her. And if he didn't manage to break free of that, she was going to show him why her mask is adorned with a fist.

"If I tell you, then you will run of and get yourself killed. Endure it for now. Eclipse is planning something big. So please, bear it until we can fight him. If you really want to fight then you can fight me if you want. Just not here." Theo said trying to reason with her." But on a different note. Weren't you with Liv?"

Rydia frowned and nodded. "Yeah, but she's resting at the moment. Heather is with her. The recent events have taken a great toll on her."

She looked back toward the monitor. The four girls seemed to mock her from their still windows. Her ears dipped slightly as she fought back tears.

"What am I going to do now? My mother and father died defending our people, and here I am. I should have stayed with them. I could have done something. Now I'm the last of my kind, and I'm a half-breed. An amalgam of two dead races."

It didn't look like much of a fight. Legio wasn't on the offense or even defense. Most of the time he was curious to see what she would come up with next. This was the first battle he's ever had with a Meta and he would take his time with it. From what he gather she wanted to draw him close to use her namesake. But what would she do if she could not get him close? His base power consisted of Cassandra, Alexavier and Shane/Legion. Cassandra's power prevented him from being moved if he did not wish for it.

"You're not alone just yet. Freya is still around." Theo responded." But right now...you should rest, pay your respects, grieve, prepare and endure. Maybe even try and make a life here. You will get your chance, I promise you that."

The soldier was struck in the thigh and cried out in pain as the electricity from Ako caused his adaptive camo to fizzle out and his body to seize.

The ten remaining soldiers revealed themselves and lobbed a flash grenade toward Ako and Trinity. A second after it landed, the grenade detonated with a flare that was comparably bright to a welding spark.

Ako cursed as his roll managed to have his eyes facing the grenade when it went off. He was in fight mode now, though. If there was one thing he remembered from his thirteen years on the road, it was the fights. It seemed like a fight a week at times, always a different bar. Sometimes it was rednecks wanted to beat up the freak, other times it was for money. Once, it was even to defend a girl he thought he loved. No matter where or what the reason, all the fights had something in common; his mind was always clear.

Now was no different. With his sight gone and his life in danger, his mind dredged up all his old tricks. His sight was gone, his ears were ringing, but he had other senses. The soldiers had turned off their camo, but the circuits would still have faint power on standby mode. More importantly, they had other tech they had to leave on. As he stumbled to his feet, he "saw" the welding-visor-like circuits in their visors, their radio systems, and if he were closer, he might even feel the electrical field of their nervous system. While not as sharp as eyesight, his electroreception at least gave him fuzzy outlines to face. Eyes still blinded, ears still muffled, but still facing in the direction of the attackers, Ako managed to stand defiantly, hands at chest level for a fight.

The boy straightened up and sighed, "No. Not Mother."

He began to approach them slowly. As he did, the ground and walls within a five foot radius of him began to age and fall apart.

Damien had caught Deora's look. He had been trying to probe the boy's mind for a few seconds already. But there was nothing, or rather, something was keeping him from probing.

He saw the danger the boy presented and immediately ran to the opposite wall. He reared his fist back and hardened it with biomass. One swift blow and an exit was made for them.

"C'mon, we can't get close to him!" he shouted.

The boy hissed, "Collect boy, kill everything else."

Well, that was all Deora needed; threat assessed. She reached a hand out to grab Kerana's arm to pull her along, but remembered the ice shank a moment before. As quickly as she could, the unfroze the thing from her palm and sent it flying point first towards the threat. She would have aimed for an eye, but in her panic it would likely hit more around the chest. It was just a distraction, anyway, as her still clammy hand gripped Kerana to tug her along as they followed Damien out of the building.

Strength grit her teeth as her tail pulled as hard as it could. She wondered if the thing was heavier than she had anticipated.

Eclipse had his arms crossed, and a finger drumming. He shouted, "I'm getting bored Strength."

A chill ran down her spine as she thought of what her creator would do to her if she did not prove her worth.

"Graaaah!" she called out defiantly. Still keeping her tail wrapped around him, she leaped into the air and reeled herself in. If he was going to act like an anchor, she was going to use him like one.

She landed on the closest side of the cube in front of the one he was standing on, causing it do dip a bit due to the impact. Once there was enough exposed to make use of, she jammed her hardened hand into his cube and detached her tail. With a furious cry, she swung the cube over her head in an attempt to pancake the being.

How could Eclipse be getting bored? All of this was fascinating to Legio. It was new. His face did not show it but he was entertained. His urge for absorb knowledge and experience was being sated. When the tail around him became loose, he absorbed it. During that process he saw and felt what Strength was doing. It made him realize something about Cassandra's power that he had not known before. It seems that gravity itself had no grip on him if he was anchored to something. her move posed no threat to him so he did not move. He simply stood there looking at the impending floor.

Rydia opened her mouth to respond, but nothing came out. She had to concede that his words were wise and the best course of action. He was actually a lot more kind than she was anticipating for someone who ran an underground fortress. He was also quite good looking.

She smiled sadly and said, "You're right. Thank you for that. I truly needed to hear level headed ideas. You are very kind."

She then straightened up and bluntly stated, "I think I'd like to have sex with you."

Gidget had to stop what she was doing because she almost fell out of her chair laughing.

"Oh...my God! Trinity was right, you just can't turn it off can you, Theonis?" she joked.

Rydia looked at Gidget quizzically, unsure as to why Trinity was brought up.
