More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

After finding the acid proof suite, Trinity took it and dropped through her shadow. She emerged from under a car that was affected by the acid.

She wore a tightly fitted hazmad suite which Gidget designed a while back that would protect her from all kinds of dangerous substances including acid. The a clear triangular face mask aloud her face to be visible. Her oxygen was built-in in the back which allowed for 3 hours. Trinity checked those that were affected by the unexpected acid storm and sent the ones that were injured, Daedalous or no to the hospital. Once certain people were cleared from the road she moved the cars off the road. As she went she explained, "I'm here to help." luckily for the most part people were willing to co-operate.

After the injured were addressed she looked to the wall of liquid. Hopefully she would be able to talk Annie into dismissing it. She didn't have any testing supplies with her and was addressing this as if it were acid. In the end it may have been the best way to go about it.

She sent an e-mail to the local police office requesting that the current road be detoured due to 'Meta-Human Activity'. Despite the fact that she was a Meta-Human the Police knew not to question the e-mails that come from Trinity and started placing detours as requested. Especially in the past when her e-mails weren't taken seriously, people got hurt and it made things all the more difficult for her and the other officers.

From the nearest shadows from the vehicles she used the shadow to form a tunnel. In a sense it was a thin flat hole on one side that stretched through the wall as a thin flat hole on the other side. "If your vehicle is drive able drive through here and you'll end up on the other side like this." she demonstrated by stepping through the shadow she created and stepped out the other side. Hopefully this was enough to get people moving.

Trinity dropped through her shadow and head toward the roof of the Daedalous building figuring that Annie would have to do this from a high place.

A sudden flare of rage surfaced inside of Alexavier. Perhaps it was because of Annie preventing him from doing what he wanted. Or because his expectations were wrong. Either way it happened. He still wasn't as stable as he himself thought he was.

The cars were flattened in an instance, ripped apart and compressed again. With his victims inside. Luckily for them it killed them almost instantly. Just to make things worse for him he sensed Trinity. It didn't help his current rage. An invisible fist grabbed hold of her and yanked Trinity towards him. Her mask was in the way. Alexavier preferred to look at people directly.

"Trinity Smith, I am currently unstable with my rage barely under control. So I am going to skip us all the conversation since I am just not in the mood for it. She wants you, Carina, to make that little wall of yours go away. As usual she would have preferred to settle it without violence but it's not like she can actually do anything against you. Other than using your child as leverage but that would be a last resort." Alexavier spat out. It was clear the anger was still inside.

"And those cars were filled with Daedelus scum. Their latest military project in fact. Hybrids, not quite Meta but not quite human either. Go ask your boss, oh wait you are your own boss now." He still had Trinity firm in his telekinetic grip. Latching himself inside of Annie's mind just in case she decide to do something against him.


Cassandra took Christian's hand. It's not like she needed two hands to hold her son. Not with her surreal strength." Lead the way then" She said with a smile.

Annie's eyes widened as the cars were decimated, the Daedalus agents inside. She winced slightly, but part of her was relieved it wasn't her actions leading to more people dying. And, on the bright side Alexavier wasn't taking advantage of her powers. When Alexavier lashed out at Trinity, Annie clenched her fists and took a deep breath. She contemplated attacking Alexavier briefly, but decided not to for various reasons-she felt it was unnecessary, she didn't want to harm him, Alexavier's attack had been focused on the Daedalus agents, and Trinity was really getting on her nerves. Though, she wouldn't be surprised if Alexavier has taken enough control of her power to ensure she didn't turn against him.

Annie took a deep breath before letting out a short laugh, "I suppose I am the bad guy in this, Trinity? That big scary wall interrupting traffic, right? Alexavier is right, they were Daedalus agents and they intended most likely to turn on our latest hatched meta-human. The one who has my power, Ako's power, and your power. The one who hasn't yet decided his moralistic fate. The one who I can't get a reading on its aura. Yeah, that one. And you think a bunch of Daedalus agents attacking that type of individual is going to just make him want to join the land of rainbows, butterflies, peace, and love?"

"We were stalling Daedalus or ensuring that meeting did not happen- you can see it either way. Me more stalling than outright attacking, because I don't think you realized it yet, but the people I want dead tend to end up dead. And that big scary wall I am controlling? It's water at the moment. Of course, since those Daedalus agents have been eliminated I suppose the wall is no longer needed."

Annie closed her eyes and immediately the wall fell, water spilling into the street, gallons of water washing debris various places. She was too annoyed to bother with carefully controlling the release. Finally she glanced at Alexavier and said, "There. I think we've accomplished all we needed. Let go of the shadow manipulator. I don't think she has any more reason to take issue with us, now." She turned her attention to Trinity and asked, "Right?"

Cassandra took Christian's hand. It's not like she needed two hands to hold her son. Not with her surreal strength." Lead the way then" She said with a smile.

Christian nodded and within five minutes arrived at the cafeteria. He nodded at the food line and said, "Well, we're here."

Kerana thought of her friend's predicament, "Well, if I were you I'd ensure what keeps me, me. Perhaps shift into your human form for the most part and shift to you dragon form when you feel it rising so that you wouldn't hulk out. That's my two cents. I feel it is important to remember who you are, and not loose sight of that.
On another note, what is a type 1 zone meta? I'm afraid I have no idea."

Heather wasn't sure why those words were even known to her. Maybe it had something to do with the kid. He seemed a lot more intelligent than kids around that age. She looked over to Kerana and scratched her head. "Um...I think it's our scientific classification. Basically animal metahumans like me and you."

"I just don't know if I can handle the changes anymore. It always hurts so much. I'm scared."

When Deora spoke it made Heather's eyes well up with tears. This was the closest any dragon would get to making puppy dog eyes. "You really think I'm beatiful?"

Trinity emerged on the roof top of the Daedalus building. It wasn't long before she felt a sudden grip upon her which pulled her to Alexavier and Annie. The shadows she had originally manipulated were let go causing the few with Daedalus agents inside to be crushed and die. She showed no fear but struggled a bit. She had forgotten to account for him. She should have worn one of the head bands that was used when facing Legion. The thought quickly passed as Alexavier addressed her and basically spelled out every course of action she was planning on taking. The problem with mind powers, no surprises.

Annie went on with her explanation. She had a point that Daedalus would try to befriend or die trying to destroy the hatchling. At the moment she asked Alexavier to let her go as soon as she felt his grip loosen she dropped through her yellow suit which had a black lining on the inside which allowed shadows that were dark enough for her to use the suit fell do the ground with some weight. She emerged from Annie's shadow. " Thank you for bringing down the wall...Just, whatever you do to Daedalus, please keep the innocent people out of it. Though a lot of Daedalus Agents use this road there are a lot of people that don't have anything to do with Daedalus use it too. Don't let them be caught in the crossfire. On top of that not all people who work for Daedalus have the same beliefs, they may be working here just to make ends meet and nothing more...there are people like Theonis' father who are willing to help us despite the circumstance."

At the beginning of her career Trinity though it was pretty much as clear as black and white. Daedalus bad, Valhalla good. Through out the years she found there was a lot of gray areas. Especially at first with the R&D department. Then one of her aunts who needed a job for she had been on Unemployment for quite some time had to get a job and though she did not agree with the company's principles she took the job to make ends meet. They seem to have the most jobs available because of those same principles, as well as internships. With Valhalla, it was easier to get a job there if you were a meta, HR would try to ensure that there were quality people working there if they were not meta-humans. She didn't know her aunt too well, just knows she's been through some rough times especially since she lost her job. Just knowing about this know caused things to be a bit more gray. Fighting as a soldier who would lay down their lives for a cause is one thing but other functions such as a janitor, administrative assistants, the people who don't know as much on what's going on seem to count as innocent in her eyes. Lives can be changed with an act of kindness yet it doesn't always work.

Annie burst out laughing at Trinity's lecture. "Maybe you forgot, but I have tried a great deal to remain neutral in all of this. In fact, I handed myself over to Daedalus hoping to protect people from my power. I did what they claimed they wanted. I helped protect the public from a dangerous meta-human. You want to know how they thanked me? Well there was obviously the whole incident with Dr. Berchant that resulted in Christian... but all in all I preferred Berchant and what he did over the previous doctor in charge of my case."

She began laughing, on the borderline of psychotics, "I've realized something. This is a war. And, unfortunately casualties are a result of war-including innocents. However, like I said, if I wanted to kill someone they would be dead. Theonis survived a far worse acid attack than the off spray that hit civilians. Light acid burns aren't that terrible: trust me. Think about where you encounter the most liquid on a day to day basis-that's where I discovered my power," Annie said pulling up the sleeve of her cat suit to reveal her arm spotted with small circular burns.

"And about your father-in-law or whatever you see Theonis's father as, I'm not buying it," Annie said. "I actually met the man once upon a time-wasn't that impressed then and not impressed now. And he helped in what end up happening to Shane. I will kill that man if I ever meet him."

Alexavier was pleased with Annie descent into madness. That's what he preferred to call it. He couldn't help but laugh a bit himself." You got a nice laugh there Carina."

"Did you know that she killed a few agents herself when I pulled her here? Could you not control your power or did you simply not care since they were of Daedelus?" Alexavier asked amused." Ahhh good times."

"But hey, you got a lot on your plate right now. Sudden promotion over your best friend's mental breakdown. I swear I had nothing to do with that. Besides staging the mutiny. You also got that thing to deal with and a boyfriend who has some very serious problems at the moment. Really, you should have a word with him before he breaks down."

When Deora spoke it made Heather's eyes well up with tears. This was the closest any dragon would get to making puppy dog eyes. "You really think I'm beatiful?"

Deora hesitated, realizing how her words sounded as Heather repeated them. She had trouble finding the right way to follow them up. "Well, yeah; you still look good," As in, not as messed-up as your brother she thought, but didn't dare say, "but now, you look amazing. I mean, you have wings!" she motioned a hand, as if they needed to be pointed out. "And you can breathe fire! All I got was purple hair and the ability to make waves."

She didn't mean to make those last words sound demeaning, as though Deora had gotten off lucky. Discolored hair and the ability to move water was all it took to get her disowned from her family, but with only those mutations, most of the Metas she met on teh street saw her as something less tan themselves, someone too human to fit in. the way she saw it, Metas as affected as Heather, Larry, and Kerana had an easier time fitting in at a place like Valhalla. While their appearances may be spectacular, there was no doubt they belonged there.

Liv frowned upon his words. " So you are not completely immune to your own power? That can't be good if it backfires on you." Liv said. " Then again..." She recoiled her whip around her arm. Wincing at the sudden burning on her arm, she released her power. What remained on her arm was the coiled burn shape of her whip. As soon as she did that, she began to regenerate the damage. It was gone before you knew it.

"Can't say that I am immune to this particular application of my power. Good thing I can heal"

Ako was about to explain that while he wasn't immune to his power by nature, it had been a long time since it had backfired on him. After years of practice, dealing with fights and the constant threat of power surges, it was pretty much instinctual to redirect incoming electricity.

His thoughts, however, were cut off before he could speak them, and he could only watch with worry as Liv wrapped her whip of laser light around her arm, leaving a snake-like burn around it. He started to ask why she would do that, as it didn't seem like an accident, but again his thoughts were cut off by her follow-up actions.

He relaxed a bit as her second power healed the damage caused by her first, but he still wondered what had convinced the woman that causing herself physical harm was the best way to explain her power.

His seeming inability to express his thoughts kept him from saying anything right away. He simply took a moment to take in what he'd just seen and heard. One thing finally popped through his cloud of thoughts however, and with enough force to escape his lips. "Interesting. I don't think I've ever seen someone with two unrelated powers before."

He'd seen Metas who seemed to have two or more powers, but most of those stemmed from different applications of one singular power. Annie's control over liquid and acid, for instance, seemed to come from her control over the simple hydrogen molecule. Or, from what he'd seen, Theonis' abilities to fly, form a shield, pick up objects, and various other applications all came from his single ability to control pressure. Those, as well as the other examples he'd seen, seemed to make sense. Liv's separate powers of light and healing, however, didn't seem to coincide as easily.

Liv did rub the part that healed out of habit. " Yeah sorry bout that sugar. But keeping my Regeneration up to par is important too. Sure they can't hit me when I'm like this." Liv's body phased into a body of light, then shifted back." But it's good to know I can still heal when I need to, right?"

Upon hearing his comment she raised look a bit surprised and put a finger on her full lips." Really? I guess it's not that common but it happens as you can see. Maybe it was because I was just a little girl when it happened. Growing up could have changed something, I dunno." Liv said and shrugged it off.

She turned to Annie. "As for you missy if you insist on continuing this war without my intrusion it would be best to keep it off the radar and away from innocent civilians. They don't need to be part of the casualties! Got that? If I find another news report regarding you outside of this building. I'll take you in myself! Good day" she walked off and dropped into her shadow as well as the suit she wore which was violently pulled into its shadow.

*Sigh* Like scalding children. Everything has been a total mess working without Gidget. She felt that she was barely able to make the connections she needed to keep people safe. The hatchling was pissed off at her and odds are Annie and Alexavier are just going to think her advice was a joke and continue doing whatever they want. She let out a sigh and looked at her watch it was lunch time though it felt it was much later. In a way she was relieved and sent a text to Theonis [Hey there sweetie, want to do lunch wink ]. She really wanted to be with him right now, she was feeling overwhelmed. If something was bugging him it would give him the opportunity to talk about it. Although Alexavier struck a nerve by bringing up Theonis, she was concerned.

Annie raised a brow as Trinity disappeared and let out a short laugh, calming herself some, though thinking back to her days at Daedalus had chilled her blood some. "Did I miss something?" She asked. "Because I am pretty sure that I was implying that Daedalus wasn't playing by her rules keeping civilians out of it. I wouldn't have started targeting Daedalus and catching up 'innocents' and civilians if they had merely left me in a cell away from society. And I am pretty sure I am older than she is."

She shook her head and raised a brow at Alexavier, "But she did essentially give me permission to do whatever I want as long as it doesn't become a news report. Unfortunately, picking fights with Daedalus, even their facilities would get me on the news. I suppose I am grounded. However, it might be amusing to see her try to capture me." Annie tapped her cheek in thought before turning her attention to Alexavier, "And, Trinity does have a point. You really do need to mind your own business more. And more importantly my name is Annabella. I go by Annie, even Anna once a blue moon, but never my middle name. Why do you keep calling me Carina? It's annoying. I don't use that name or my full first name for that matter besides on legal documents."

"Then go change your name if you don't like that one. Easy as pie. Can't say I ever understood that expression though. Doesn't make any sense. But i'll just call you Annie if that is what you prefer Carina." Alexavier replied. " People's minds are my business though. It's what I do. Besides she is now quite worried about her boyfriend. I just made that stuff up to mess with her. It's fun!"

Meanwhile Cassandra reached the cafeteria. The smell was much better than what Daedelus gave her. She couldn't remember the last time she properly ate. In fact....she never did. Everything was fed to her. Quickly wiping away a small bit of saliva that escaped the corner of her mouth she put Damian down. Cassandra still held his hand. There was so much food to choice from.

Theonis had become a lot stronger than before. He knew it. The fact that it had been raised up to 40 and he still hadn't reached his limit yet.Then again 40 times meant that he was canceling out 40 times his own weight. Which made it something around 2800kg. He needed more...he wanted more.

"Gimme 20 more! This is too easy!" Theonis told Richard. He did so reluctantly. Theonis his power's weren't like the others. This training was to see how strong he had become. Not how much gravity his body could withstand. Theonis almost buckled at the sudden weight increase. Damn that Richard upping it on one go. Then again...it was my own request.

He rectified the increase with his power. 4.2 ton's worth of sheer pressure. Though he did feel it was harder than before he didn't quit there. This was not his maximum. He knew it. Deep down he knew. "Again!" His tone was louder than before. Gritting his teeth in anticipation to the sudden increase he prepared himself. As if a mighty hammer hit him. This was more like it! Now he was pushing it! Adjusting with his power he wanted to wait a bit before upping it again. But before he could say that his phone rang. His train of thought left him. He grabbed his phone and checked the message. Trinity. Though he wanted to continue to push himself as far as he could.....it would be best not to at the moment.

Do lunch or just you? I'm up for both ya know. Theonis replied in his text.

"Alright thanks Richard. That's it for now. You can turn her down." He said. The gravity lowered and so did his power. It didn't take long for it to reach 1 and he stepped out.

Trinity smirked at his response, the man really knew how to make her smile. Yet she found it strange for him to be in such a good mood despite serious problems he was facing. She wasn't sure if he was hiding it or perhaps Alexavier was just messing with her.[Lets start with lunch first and if I have time we can do something else wink ]

After sending that text she emerged at the food court keeping her eyes peeled for him.
