Ashi watched the boy boredly for a while but closed his eyes all together when the boy started rambling, Listening to what he was saying, but only taking in his words a little bit. He sighed slightly and brought his hand up to massage his neck. He stopped and opened his eyes slightly when the boy mentioned they should travel together. He raised his eyebrows and scoffed, putting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes once more. "Travel together... That's funny boy." He mumbled.
His eyes shot open when he felt that the boy moved quickly and was incredibly angry when he saw Jinai holding the necklace in his hands. Ashi backed into the tree further and growled loudly. When the boy jumped back and fell to the ground Ashi quickly jumped to his feet, his eyes turning from the soft grey from eating back to the blood red. He ended up next to the boy who was lying on the ground and didn't seem to have even the slightest bit of sympathy for the kid. He stood up tall and glared down at the boy. "You crossed the line." He snapped, kicking the boy in the face and smiling sadistically. His red eyes took over the whites and his pupil got larger. His hair grew longer, and Unusual horns grew out of his head and specially designed wings grew from his back. His teeth elongated and his normal human fingers shaped into daggers. He didn't seem like he had any humanity left in him as he glared down at the boy, putting his foot firmly onto the Nekos chest. He smiled sadistically once more, showing his sharp teeth and bent down further. "I'll tell you the truth... I really don't care about you. You're unimportant and rash.. You decide to get in the way of a demon, you die eventually." He laughed darkly and brought his knife like fingers up to Jinai's neck. "I'm not going to waist my time telling you this is the end of the road..." He chuckled "Because I'm sure you already perfectly know this.." He smiled once more before bringing his hand up and down to pierce the boys neck.
He stopped just as he reached the skin and growled slightly, staring at the boy for a while. After a while of staring with his empty red eyes he mumbled something in another language and turned back into his human form. He tilted his head only slightly before he removed his foot from Jinai's chest and took a few steps away before turning once more. "Jinai," He started. "You may come with me if you still wish." He mumbled. He didn't look pleased about it but it didn't seem like he would change his mind again. "Though, I warn you.. If you do anything like that again... I will kill you without hesitation... Do you understand?" He snapped, putting his glasses back on and putting his hands in his pant pockets.

His eyes went wide that little feeling of 'oh he wont kill me' was gone just the dreadful idea of death. He was too petrified too move, to even contemplate escape. He started to shake and whimper,
"I-I didn't I just, I blinked and then it was in my hands honest I-" he stopped talking and braced himself for death, but then, it was over and he was on the ground again, he felt his neck, he was compleatly pale. When he was offered to travel with him he was about to say hell no when the wrong words came out of his mouth,
"Sure, sounds great," he said getting up and patting himself off, he looked confused. Why the hell would he say that, and now he was goign to carry through... this was... odd at best. He sighed, knowing he wouldn't get an explanation for that, he tried to get one for something else.
"Hey um... Ashi, why didn't you kill me just then. I mean, I'm not complaining, but you really seemed keen on me being dead." he said timidly, keeping his distance for now. He sat down under the tree waiting for an answer his tail flicking back and fourth. Did he just change his mind? Maybe this was a trap, he put a curse on him and it was a trap! But... if that was so why go to all that trouble? He could have made it long and painful right then and there... Jinai looked perplexed as he ran through all the different options each one more gruesome then the last, though the last one that came to mind, he dismissed before he could even finish the thought. Ashi? Lonely? He probubly couldn't even FEEL that. He frowned a little wondering again why he was staying but the moment he wondered was the same moment he dismissed it. Something was just forcing him to keep it out of his mind, that and the gem. He just stopped wondering, as though someone had been forcing him to do it in the first place.
"So then?" he asked looking up at Ashi, "where is it we're headed exactly anyway?"

Ashi tilted his head at the boy when he accepted quickly. He narrowed his eyes and stared at the kid, as if he were trying to figure something out. After a while of that he sighed and turned away, starting to walk a certain direction. He thought about what had just happened and the strange obsession Jinai had in his eyes. It didn't seem normal. Other humans and shadows didn't act like that. He pursed his lips in aggravation. Something wasn't right about this boy. So then why-? He stopped mid thought when the boy started to speak again. He turned his head slightly to listen to what he said and smirked.
"Oh trust me, boy. If it were my decision I would have been licking your blood off of my hands at this very moment." He smiled sadistically at the thought. His smiled faded as he turned his attention back to the neko. "But it seems someone likes you." He smirked towards the cat boy and chuckled while turning back around, hiding the necklace in his shirt. He continued to walk, fixing his glasses and stuffing his hands in his pockets once more. He heaved a sigh when the boy asked another question. "I don't know." He responded with, boredly. "To hell? I don't give a damn." He rolled his eyes slightly. "I WAS going to take a nap, but it's apparent that will never happen." He snapped, taking one hand out of his pocket and waving it in a dismissive manner. He smiled slightly. "Don't worry about it though, demons don't need much sleep anyways." His accent slipped out on some words, throwing him off a little. He wasn't used to travelling with others, Not since his days when he was alive... Or rather... Human. His mouth went into a thin line and he continued to walk along silently, grabbing the gem as it started to stir.

Jinai realized they were still walking so he got up and ran lightly behind him,
"H-Hey wait up!" he called catching up with him, with a slight huff he scratched his head and laughed a little,
"Well you could use some you always seem so grouchy." he laughed. He made sure to be in arms length, he knew it wouldn't do much, but as long as he didn't touch that damn gem. Not like he even wanted to go near that thing, it was probably cursed or something else. He stretched and scratched his head a little looking around,
"So, other then napping then, where are you going?" he asked smiling, he was legitmently curious, "Or are you just wandering around?" he wondered, "I was kind of doing that too if that's so, though I mean it's not really important." as he continued to walk and look around he thought about what was going to become of him, traveling with a demon, with no explanation other then, 'I got a strange feeling from this'. What was he thinking? He wasn't thinking, that was probably his main problem, but hey, curiosity killed the cat. And in this case it wasn't even his own curiosity, even Jinai wasn't so stupid he wouldn't have taken a hint by now, he felt like he physically couldn't leave yet, not until he knew more about this man. He skipped over large roots of tree's bulging out of the ground and just continued obliviously on his merry way, not a care in all the world.

Ashi growled slightly at the comment Jinai had made. "Do you really want to insult someone who just tried to kill you?" He snapped, turning to look at the boy in annoyance. He turned his attention back to where he was walking and sighed. He only got a couple of steps before he was asked the next question. "Urgh, Do you ever just stop talking?" He snapped running his hand over his hair in annoyance. "If you really MUST know, I'm on your goddamned planet for a couple hundred years with nowhere to go and no motives other then to keep this safe." He motioned towards his necklace. "My name is Ashi, I've been alive for more then 8700 years, No I'm never happy, Yes I want you to shut up and No you will never know what this gem is!" He shouted in annoyance. "Does THAT answer all your bloody questions?" he asked rudely roughly sticking his hands back into his pockets and mumbled about how he was always caught in the most annoying circumstances.
He continued to walk, not really heading anywhere in particular, now completely silent. He wasn't going to bother talking anymore until he calmed down once again.

Jinai blinked at the insult comment,
"It wasn't an insult so much as it was a rude observation." he smirked shrugging, he continued too happily walk beside him as Ashi started to complain/explain to him. He nodded while Ashi spoke, only really half paying attention, when Ashi mentioned his age Jinai whistled a little,
"My thats old~" he smirked, seeing the expression Ashi gave him with that comment he threw his arms up in the air, "Oh right~ Quiet, trust me, I'll be silent, I'll be so quiet you wont even know I'm here, hell you will doubt I ever existed I'll be so quiet!" he grinned up at Ashi idiotically, knowing it was pissing him off probably, but he did keep his word, changing into his cat from he walked beside him smirking at how 'snappy' he was, everything seemed too annoy him and that was well actually rather funny. Though when he mentioned the gem he blinked,
"Look." he said changing back so they could talk a little more, "I don't know what had come over me with that... Gem, but to be honest with you I don't really want anything to do with it, I'm just curious, I've never really traveled with anyone before, much less someone who wants to kill me as badly as you." he smirked looking through the trees, "and well, I'm bored, I've been bored for a really long time, and you're interesting." he reasoned, though that still didn't seem quite right shrugging a little he laughed, "Or maybe I just have a very strange death wish, either way I think I'll stick around longer being you were so kind to invite me~" he winked at Ashi with a smile, "Though it is beyond my comprehension why you would want me along,"

Continuing to walk along with boredom he Clenched his fists, trying not to hit this boy again. He was just so annoying! Everything that Ashi couldn't stand. "Stop being a ******** smartass." He snapped, sticking his hands in his pockets and slouching a bit. He listened and watched the boy as he continued to talk. "Trust me," He started in annoyance. "If it were my choice, you'd already be dead. There is no way I'd ever want anyone to travel with me. Let alone you." He growled, taking his glasses off for a moment to rub his eyes. "Life is annoying enough as it is." He mumbled, his eyes softening before he fell into silence completely. He continued to walk, but he looked slightly upset, staring into the distance. He sighed quietly, picking up his pace, starting to sing something under his breath.
"Si deus me relinquit, Ego deum relinquo.
Solus oppressus nigram clavem habere potest,
Omnias ianuas praecludo
Sic omnias precationes obsigno.
Sed
qui me defendet?
Ab me terribilissimo ipse."
It was hard to hear, but all the same he held the necklace in his hand, watching as the colours inside seemed to dance in a pattern, as they always did. "Let's go to the field.." He mumbled coldly towards the cat, letting the necklace once again fall around his neck. For someone who obviously hated it he seemed very attached. He seemed like he would give his life for it... But of course he would have rather been dead anyways. Life gets depressing when you outlive everyone you know.

Jinai smirked a little,
"Yeah, I've been told I'm rather annoying before, actually many times, though I disagree, but, what ever~" he laughed shrugging. Skipping forward a little looking at the gem, he looked mostly uninterested as it changed colors, other then the momentary, 'oooh pretty' he just stopped caring. But his ears did perk up at the mention of the fields, he licked his lips thinking about all the mice they were normally there, and there was a little crick! Filled with fish he jumped up excitedly and nodded,
"Oh yes! Please! That sounds awesome." he said with a huge grin his expression lit up entirely, "come on come on lets go~" he smiled widely running off to where he thought the field was, which was of course the exact opposite direction, but Jinai was far too excited to know that, well at least until he saw Ashi walking the other way, he blushed from embarrassment and changed into a cat again to run faster too catch up leaping and landing as a human once more beside Ashi he winked,
"You say you don't like me~ And then you take me to my favorite place in the world, you sir are a complex man." he smirked nodding. Sort of happily marching beside Ashi, he wondered what made this guy so... bitter. Jinai doubted he would EVER see him smile other then to laugh at those he was hurting. What a creepy thought.
