[ Joe : Narnia : Jadis' Castle > Outside the Train ]
Joe raised an eyebrow at Noelle's rambling response, but before he could press anything she started walking down the hallway very, very quickly.
'OK, obviously somethings up. What the hell could have happened at the castle though? I thought that place was under protection.'
He shrugged and continued forward, trying to keep pace with the earth witch. Whatever the hell had happened, they'd all find out soon enough.
He would have been content to just walk in silence but then, right as they were getting to the double doors Kyle appeared in front of Noelle and opened the door before grabbing her by the hand and whisking her away to the train. Joe could only stare blankly at the empty space where the two had been just a second ago.
"...Really!?" he groaned, hand meeting face as he walked into the courtyard.
'The Time Weaver appears to be using his abilities to perform a rough approximation of teleportation. Compared to what we can do, it's a cheap parlor trick clearly intended to seduce the other fleshbag.'
Joe decided that for the sake of his own sanity, he would ignore the last part entirely. 'What's this "we" business? You could pull it off when I channeled you, but..'
Atomos cut him off 'I did not misspeak you festering sack of organs and self-pity! My abilities and your abilities are one and the same. You need only the will and perseverance to use them!'
Joe rolled his eyes and looked ahead. Through the courtyard he could see the open gates, the bridge, and the train on the shore. If he squinted, he could very, very vaguely make out some figures near the train.
'So all I have to do is imagine myself being there and I'll just show up? Is that it?' He sighed, closed his eyes, and imagined the area outside the train and the people standing near it as vividly as he could. He felt ridiculous. Then he felt a tug.
When he opened his eyes, he found himself standing right behind Kyle and Noelle, although unlike them he really did just appear out of thin air.
"Huh." he said, more to himself then anyone else, turning his head back towards the gate. "Going to gave to make a note of that for the future. Could be useful."
He wasn't entirely sure, but he felt like somewhere inside, Atomos was laughing at him.

[ Kyle : Narnia : Outside the Train ]
Kyle wordlessly watched her head into the train, instead deciding to wait outside. Joe's appearance after them was at once both surprising and not, given his own penchant for dimensional control.
"Definitely useful," he replied, casually looking back at the man until Noelle came back out, looking clearly out of sorts.
"Noelle, it was at least a half-hour journey. If we can't get ahold of them now, it's just going to eat at you," he said, looking concerned. "Worse, if it's something we need to be there soon for, we should tell the others to hurry up. What's wrong?"

[Noelle : Narnia : Outside the Train]
The garden witch was pacing lightly, wringing her fingers as she came closer to the verge of tears. She hadn't thought much about what had happened until this moment, until she actually had to explain it to someone. She fought so hard, she and Prote did. She nearly sacrificed every last memory she had . . . Noelle stopped and looked at Kyle, struggling with what to say. He would notice her expression change, however, as she looked past him.
"Aslan . . . !" She breathed, moving toward the bounding lion.
Aslan was only a few leaps away by the time Noelle had noticed him. A certain white-bearded wizard was holding onto his back for dear life, being jostled with each harsh footfall. When Aslan stopped, not even seeming to be out of breath (apparent divinity would afford you that), Merlin practically fell off. Aslan did not pay the wizard much attention, knowing full well he could handle himself.
"We came as quickly as we could once the spell broke. Are all in your party alright?"
Noelle could only nod in response, eager to pose her own questions, "Did you save her? Did Prote stop him, did someone get there in time, did you save her?"
She stood as rigidly, yet as fragile as glass.
Aslan's eyes softened, and he sat as if in preparation of council to the girl. "I am sorry, young one. We could not save her. She is lost."
Merlin took his cue from Aslan and left the great lion's side just as Noelle began breaking into sobs at his feet. The wizard approached Kyle and the others present to say, with some urgency, "There is much to tell you and much to discuss. But first I must let you know, I'm very sorry, but your friend Rae's body has been stolen away. Noelle and the geist you know as Prote fought valiantly for her, but were not strong enough."

[Kyla: Narnia: Jadis’s Castle]
The walk out seemed relatively somber, except for Noelle who took off without them- didn’t that ALWAYS turn out badly? Joe seeming to think so was trying to give chase, but Kyle vanished- no doubt using his new element and …well that was that. The rest of them were lumbering back as they could- Dawn looked exhausted as did Joseph. There something familiar about how she dragged her feet behind them. Staring at their backs… it put an unsettling feeling in her stomach.
So she dropped her eyes back down to her drawings. Yeup- the errors and gaps made her unsettled- She continued to shuffle along, avoid eye contact for the most part when she felt a familiar brush of consciousness.
~…almost at the train… soon you can rest. ~
“..yah.. sounds good.” She hadn’t realized she was answering verbally.
~.. I can try and help you collect the missing pieces. You’re right this place feel familiar- you were brought here back during the fight in Atlantis. Somewhere up in one of those spires..~
“..I see. So that’s why…” Somewhere up ahead she heard Joe shout in annoyance. It seemed they had a bit of energy left- Kyla needed something more comforting then her book to stick her nose into. There’d be a shift in the ether as Kyla used her remaining mana- imbued with what remained of their battles afterglow to bring forth her summon in it’s mall minor form. The apparition of it clung to her around her shoulders-, smoothing it’s soft turquoise fur across her neck. The ruby on carbuncles head glinted in the dim light of the empty castle. He looked like Carbuncle for a while. How odd she grew accustomed to it.
~..hang in there..~ the comforting voice said, not mothering to voice physical words. The summon simply nuzzled her, comforting her… knowing in that stillness it was just the two of them again. There was no 3rd anymore. There was a slight quiver in Carbuncle demeanor, a slight tremble in its mental cadence… Kyla lifted her drawing hand to stroke a spot behind the creature ear- ..Tyue missed him too. They missed them all. It was hard to take comfort.. the release of all their hearts. It should bring more comfort then it was right now. Maybe because she knew in a sluggish way, that if their hearts were free then.. yes- someday.. maybe.. they could be restored. That goal seemed closer. Yet feeling her special ones heart pass through her also brought that final realization that they were gone, taken.. she wasn’t going to find Elle somewhere on the paths of this adventure- beating all the odds.
That much hurt..
…it hurt...
It hurt.
Dani took off next…
Dawn voices a slight feeling she inhabited for a moment- the irritation of being left behind for some obvious reason to which it seemed Noelle was concerned. It got Kyla wondering what transpired for her during the time they were separated. The illusion had a funny way to make so much time pass within a suspended reality. Oh- nice of her to mention the castle was going to crumble or… disappear or…thaw-whatever -Kyla was curious what that meant. She didn’t feel like speeding up- not just because she was tired. She needed time, time to let ti soak in. Did she have to still be- ON right now? Was the fight still going? What was next?
::Hey… how is everything on your end?::
She asked Riku and Sora through the charms.
:: How are things looking out there? Noelle mentioned something about the structure changing or.. collapsing- shifting not sure I- didn’t quite catch it- she'd know most of all and left in quite a hurry...everything is moving in here- hard for some of us back here.:: Her voice was subdued over the charms.

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Riku : Narnia : Outside the Train ]
"I dunno, Dani, that's what I'm trying to find out," Kyle responded, giving Noelle time to try to find her words; then, of course, Aslan and Merlin appeared from the forest behind them to give them the news.
"We can't release the chocobos, they're still kind of upset," Sora replied to Dawn nonchalantly. "Just use some wind or something."
"You've got some time, from what we can tell," Riku responded to Kyla. "But I think it has something to do with Disney, she tried to contact them; I'm going out to check, Merlin and Aslan just showed up."
'She'...?
Kyle watched Noelle suddenly broke down into sobs, and before he could drop down to catch her, Merlin delivered the rest of the news.
"No."
Kyle...
"No that can't be right, I just, we just..."
He felt her heart within his dress sphere's free space. He felt it because he had it, because he'd saved it, because they'd finally saved it.
"We just got her back!" he shouted, outraged. "What do you mean, her body got taken?!"
"It was a geist, we hear," Merlin said, looking grim. "The creatures are apparently able to get through the Cornerstone's aura, we didn't think--"
"You didn't THINK!" Kyle roared, taking a step forward now, power crackling at his knuckles. Though his words could not be precisely heard, the fact that he was shouting was absolutely audible from the castle. "Your precious little castle was supposed to be safe! There were spells and protections and enchantments and she's gone and you have the
Kyle growled before suddenly shouting in incoherent rage, and without warning--and even without intention--a grand explosion of energy burst out from his hand, blasting a crater into the ground beside him to his own surprise. The explosion was also audible inside the castle, though muffled.
"What the heck is going on?!" Sora shouted, running out, Keyblade in hand. "Are we under attack?!"
Riku simply grabbed Sora by the arm, holding him back.
Kyle grabbed his right hand with his left and stepped back, breathing heavily. "No, I... It was..."
"I'm so sorry," was all Merlin could say, seemingly unfazed by the blast.

[ Joe : Narnia : Outside the Train ]
Joe would have responded to Kyle, but seeing as he was busy with Noelle and the others wanted updates, he figured it was best to hold back and relay what he knew to everyone else.
"Well the castle's coming down shortly, so I'd pick it up if I were all of you, but that's not the big issue. The big issue is that something happened with Noelle while she was separated from the rest of us...." he paused as Merlin and Aslan rode in, figuring that he'd get a better picture from the wise ones.
And then he listened to what they had to say and stood there as Kyle lost it. He couldn't help but through up a shell on pure reflex the moment the explosion happened.
"Whoa! OK...
He collected himself, sighed, and spoke through the charms. This was going to suck.
"...So, er, sorry. I don't think this can be put delicately. That friend of yours who lost her heart and who Louis had us fight to get it back? Rae? Something's happened to her body. It was taken by a geist."
He stood straight and focused on his two companions. He didn't, couldn't, have the full context of what had just happened, but they were both on the verge of a breakdown and got it. They had just gone through all of that and now this was their reward? He didn't blame them one bit.
"Christ. You guys..." he trailed off, not knowing what to say and feeling rather useless.

[Joseph: Narnia: Jadis's Castle]
The male froze. Whether Dawn stopped with him or not, that was up to her. But for him, he froze. Mainly cause his mind went to 'load-bearing boss' and the sheer incredulity at it actually being a thing when the other Joe started informing everyone. And the Noelle thing he figured he'd suss out once he got back with her again.
The explosion worried him, though. Even he heard it.
And then next part made his blood run cold. He stood there, frozen in place, staring ahead as he tried to process what he was hearing, trying to tamp it down- ...ithurts... He started sweating, his eye closing as his breathing heightened. soclose "What?" He finally got the word out, aloud and over the charms. TOOMUCH And then he was out, down to his knees, then down to the ground, passed out, overwhelmed by everything. All he had before he was out, was the fleeting thought of how his chest was hurting again...

{James : Narnia : Jadis’ Castle}
James fell silent after his truncated explanation to Nicholas regarding elements and focused more on making his way up the stairs. He was in a good position amongst the group to hear pretty clearly what was going on, especially with his enhanced sense of hearing. While he hadn’t picked up on it before there was not doubt that something wasn’t right with Noelle. When she finally gave a rambling answer and then immediately dashed off towards the train the corsair was concerned and rightfully so. What happened next, was entirely too much all at once and James knew magic was involved because in too little time it seemed a few people had gotten back to the train. Then there came the explosion, loud enough that the corsair could hear it from the castle.
’What the hell was that!?’ James called out over the charms as he braced himself to prepare for a Dash to get back to the train quicker, he would push himself if he had to.
His answer came shortly afterward from Joe as he explained the situation regarding Rae. He nearly fell over as he had just been about to launch himself as far ahead as he could when he stopped dead. They had just fought so hard to get her heart back and now… Her body had been taken. The ramifications of that fact… that she had been taken while at Disney hit and they hit hard. Were they safe at Disney? If a geist was able to get through the defenses could other things as well? Was Michelle safe there? Questions like that ran through his mind. However, now was not the time to think about that. It was at that moment when Joseph collapsed, a little ways behind him.
”Joe!” James called out as he ran back to his fallen ally. He knelt down next to the axe wielder to get a good look at him.
The corsair focused his energy into his hand and it began to glow with a soft indigo light casting Lunar Light on their fallen leader, not sure if it would honestly have any effect. Joseph was exhausted this much was clear mentally, physically, emotionally and even though he had tried. He doubted magic would be able to help at all.
’Guys, Joe just collapsed, We’ll get him back to the train as quick as we can,’ He stated over the charms so the people at the train knew what was going on.
”Someone mind getting him up? I’ll help if I can but I know I’m not the strongest person here.” He stated as he backed away from Joseph looking concerned.

[Nicholas <> Narnia <> Jadis' Castle -> The Bridge]
Too much noise, too much commotion, impossible to focus properly. The bard had remained quiet after the explanation of elements and the sudden disappearance of Kyle and Noelle, who had rushed on ahead for whatever reason. He was tired; it had been a rather long and stressful day, and everything was finally coming to an end.
Or not.
Suddenly, things had gone to hell in a hand-basket. There was yelling, arguments about the disappearance of a woman named Rae, a lot of angst, and then the axe-wielder dropped to the floor, likely in shock. The pirate-y looking guy was trying to heal him or... something, and Nicholas just sighed as he stood over Joseph's prone body. Quietly staring for a moment, he would then reach down and, with one hand, hoist the unconscious berserker over his shoulder and continue walking as if it were a minor inconvenience to have stopped in the first place.
"Let's move, let's move, no time to waste, get your asses to safety while I'm using Haste." Nicholas hummed in a monotone voice, glaring at the people still lagging behind in the castle. The speed buff would grace anyone still in the castle (thanks voice projection!) and hopefully push the group out of the soon to be ruins faster. He would continue to walk while humming until he got a third of the way across the bridge, then stand at the edge of the bridge looking out to the lake with a stony expression. Joseph would continue to rest on his shoulder and a hand keeping him secure while his other hand would tighten around the gigantic blade's hilt.
This was turning into a truly messed up day.
