[ Elsa : Disney Castle : Main Library ]

As she wandered the bookshelves, putting up various books she'd been given to look over in her personal time, she couldn't help but overhear... something. It was a small voice, and oddly enough she thought it was coming from higher up, like on one of the nearby bookshelves--

--but as she was looking around, her thoughts were quickly interrupted by a frustrated yell and the sound of something landing with a thud before sliding a short distance.

Looking behind her, Elsa saw the open book just out in the aisle she'd come from. Knowing it hadn't been there before (or she'd have tripped far more gracelessly), she tenderly walked back out and knelt down to pick up the tossed tome, glancing over toward its owner's corner.

"Maybe try not to take it out on the books," she mused, smiling softly and walking toward the older woman. She extended the book out to her with her hand, ungloved. "Some of them in here might fight back."

[Kyla: Disney Castle: Library]

A few things happened at once, and each was a physical reaction to the transition of simultaneous thoughts crashing at once-
First was the shock of the realization of who just walked into view. So she startled straightening up her back nearly slamming into the shelf behind her.
Second was the reaction to the line that dropped from Quenn Elsa’s lips- A look of shame crossing the artists’ face as she made to take the book- then the thought of them fighting back- fighting back to her lashing out-
Her lashing out... She recoiled- But she hurt the book, Kyla made to take ti again, but then hesitated again like she was suddenly thinking ti might bite her- but then with another look of one of penitence, a person accepting their punishment, she finally reached out a final 3rd time with the slowness of someone expecting their hands to be bitten off- and rightfully so.
With a soft sound the book slips from Elsa’s fingers and pushing her glasses up her nose Kyla smoothed a hand over the cover apologetically before looking back to the one who gave it to her.

“Um.. th- thank you.” With all this work Kyla didn’t look so good any more. Her hair was a bit disheveled; her eyes looked tired, a bit red.
Mumbling a soft apology under her breath she opened it again to where she last was copying-

A diagram of some sort of hex dismantling by a strong use of force was displayed on it, with a graph of levels of mana burn required. A bitter chuckle which sounded like a cough bubbled from her throat which suddenly felt hoarse. And here Kyla thought all curses needed to be undone by some complex methodology- just it seems even magic had its own version of ‘ Bash it hard enough and that could work too’...sometimes.

“uh- sorry, I am being rude.” Pushing herself against the shelf behind her, Kyla attempted to rise to her full height and show her respect but it made two books from the row above her fall off and smack non- too kindly in the back of her head.
Another frustrated moan, she picked them up muttering something that sounded like she should have known that would happen.

[ Elsa : Disney Castle : Main Library ]

It only took a second of directly looking at the older woman for Elsa to place the face--she was one of the Earthlings. Already, she sympathized with what the group was going through; seeing it up close added to that.

"You're welcome," she replied, giving another soft smile. The woman looked exhausted; Elsa had half a mind to tell her to go and rest, particularly since no one really knew when they'd be called out again. She'd noticed people throughout the castle preparing for missions at all times of the day and night.

Elsa turned way and started to head back to her studies as Kyla opened the book back up and looked at its contents. Yet she'd only taken a couple steps when the woman spoke up again, only to accidentally knock some books off the shelf. By the time Elsa had turned to face her, she was already picking the books up.

"Oh, don't worry about it," she said, lifting her hand up as if to push back the concern in regards to Kyla thinking she was being rude. "You're busy with your studies, and I should probably get back to mine."

[ Sora ; Kairi : Disney Castle : Central Gardens ]

Kairi smiled somewhat. "If you're hungry, you better go get dinner before everything closes up for the night."

"Yep, won't be long til the sun sets."

[Kyla/ Tyue: Disney Castle: Library]

“Huh? Oh- …ok...” Kyla looked up at the other woman sheepishly, her eyes downcast as she decided against some nagging desire to strike conversation-
-if Elsa was busy, Kyla was the last person to ever interrupt someone, especially if it seemed important. Of course Elsa would be studying here! Why? To better learn to sue her powers of coarse or- whatever... maybe also some royal studies perhaps in regards to organizing her kingdom during this time of mix and mayhem.

Carbuncles ears flickered in irritation as a chance was being missed- this was so typical of Kyla. She could be far too shy to speak up. Wheather it was about help, or just to make friends-
Good thing she had a better alter ego who had a non-nonsense handle on situations.

Straightening up on her four legs the summon let out a loud yell directed at her partner but obviously letting it reach Elsa’s ears.

~ Holing yourself up in your castle of books won’t solve the issue Kyla!~

The pictomancer looked around fervently for her summon who was suddenly yelling at top volume. Her eyes scanning the shelves but it seemed like it was coming from everywhere.

~ If you keep letting Fear control you Kyla, you’ll lose everything and everyone! And that goes DOUBLE for your power! As one of the earthlings mages, you have to try! Try something else!~

“Carbuncle!” She rose up to her feet finally and looked around- “ Will you be quiet?!- THIS is a LIB-..er..rary..” Kyla began to billow which quickly died into a hissing whisper by the end.

~…at this rate Kyla, you’ll end up hurting everyone.~

Ok now that hurt. Kyla looked stricken, like her summon physically slapped her with something, her eyes widening in panic. She whirled around, looking at Elsa with the face of someone caught in headlights, her body tense. She eyed the books on the floor and had the look of someone about to run.

“..no I won’t. I won’t. I won’t let it, now shut- UP-, you’re being very, very inappropriate! I know what you're doing, and it's not very original. This is not, the same situation here ok?!”
She didn't dare look at the Ice queen, but she muttered, embarassment and shame in her tone. This was aweful- now a completly stranger was getting wind that the earthlings were not all they were cracke dup to be-
If word liek this got out?!!
"-j..just ignore her please. My ..friend-" and she strained the word"- is a really big- loud mouth- and likes to embelish things, and drag complete strangers into our personal affairs.." Kyla didn't sound very convincing.

Somewhere safe in her hiding spot with Louis, the tiny summon flicked her tail contently, her job done. Now she sat back and watched. Elsa, the Elsa now, was a very strong woman. As a person of authority, she was not one to turn a blind eye from something she would be a prime example of. But she would also understand the level of anxiety and shame the artist was feeling, how like a frightened animal, approaching her with admonishment and scoulding wasn't going to get her to listen- it would simply make her flee.
Heck, if Elsa knew the sequence of events- Kyla's plight was an eery retelling of her tale in some respects.

~You hurt someone, and now you're too scared to let anyone else in and help you.~

[Anthony ~.~ Disney Castle ~.~ Fairgrounds]

Silence fell over the pub tent after Sayrike dropped her beer comment. He sized Dunbroch up from where he stood as Noelle swayed and bumped into him. The knight imagined scenarios where he'd intervene to back up Sayrike if he had to. "Mhmm... yup..." the young man thought to himself. "I'd go down like a sack of potatoes if I even tried.

When the confusion was cleared, an opportunity to join the Scotsman presented itself. The image of the two of them--all large and hairy-like standing side-by-side--would be off-the-charts manly. It was obvious Anthony had to join this man's team, but before he had a chance to say anything, Joe volunteered to join Dunbroch.

"Rats...," the young man murmured. "I guess I'll join Say--" Just then, John stepped in and was assigned to Sayrike. "Son of a monkey's uncle!"

Putting one arm around Noelle's shoulder's and launching the other in the air, he shouted, "We call winner!" before anyone else beat him to it. "Erm... if, you know... Noelle doesn't pass out before then..."

{Zell, Yuffie .:. Disney Castle .:. Fairgrounds}

It was all Zell could do not to pout when Joe said there was just water in the horn and handed it to Yuffie. But when the young man offered to take over baby-sitting, he heaved a grateful sigh. Unfortunately, it looked like a couple of others in the tent had already taken over the beer pong in a two-on-two match, but there was still the sampling to be had if nothing else.

"Thanks, bud. If you think you can handle her, I'll take you up on it," he said, though he had to help Yuffie guide the water horn to her lips in the process.

"Heeeey, this stuff has like no flavor at all!" Yuffie moaned after her first mouthful. She pouted into her cup, and Zell closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Someone gypped ya, Joe!"

"That's water, Yuffie."

"Pffft, water? Who wants water when you can have booze!"

[ Elsa : Disney Castle : Main Library ]

Elsa had just turned and started walking toward a new set of bookcases when a strange voice echoed throughout the silent library, causing her to jump and softly gasp--the room immediately dropping multiple degrees within seconds. She looked around frantically, looking for the source, though after a few seconds it became clear that the voice was talking to the older woman behind her. She began to relax, the temperature beginning to rise--

--and then stopping as the conversation came to a close.

She looked back toward Kyla, her eyes narrowed in confusion but her mind racing. She'd heard things about the Earthlings--how they knew all about the worlds, the people in them. She'd thought it was interesting, like people watching over, learning...

... but the way they spoke, this was different. This was a crossed line.

"At this rate Kyla, you’ll end up hurting everyone."

"I know what you're doing, and it's not very original. This is not the same situation here, okay?!"

The temperature remained distinctly chilly. It wasn't enough to see one's breath, but just enough to cause bumps on uncovered skin. Elsa's confused look vanished behind a stonewall countenance, and her posture changed entirely, with her back straight and her shoulders rolled behind her.

"Show yourself," Elsa demanded of Carbuncle, and her once-friendly tone was gone as her eyes fiercely searched the bookshelves. This was a command, and Kyla's request to ignore her "friend" was swept away entirely.

[ Cloud : Disney : Pub Tent ]

"Hey!"

Cloud suddenly grabbed both Zell and Joe by the shoulder and pulled them roughly to face him, and his eyes were narrowed in fierce anger, his expression matching.

"Who allowed this?!" he growled, glaring between the two of them as he motioned with his head toward Yuffie.

Joe : Disney : Fairgrounds

- Previously -

"Yes Yuffie, it's water. Your supposed to drink that so you don't, you know, get sick." Joe said, mimicking Zell's expression

This was going to be more difficult then he thought. The straight approach wasn't going to work, so maybe a little duplicity would...

"Alright, fine. Just hold on a minute and I'll get you something with fla-"

- Now -

A sudden tug pulled him down to eye level with...

'Oh, ********>'

Alright, he needed to remain calm here. There was no reason to panic. Worse case scenario, he would be bisected by a giant sword. At least Zell would die with him.

"No one 'allowed it'."Joe said, coming off as more exasperated then anything else. "She drank too much by herself. It happens." he motioned over to Zell "Chuckles and I, being good people, have been trying to keep her from getting herself killed. Now let go so we can talk this over like adults."

[Kyla/Tyue: Disney Castle: Library]

The artist grimaced, a mental groan making her stomach turn as the temperature lowered little creating goose bumps on her skin. It wouldn’t bother her summon but she wasn’t in a state for the cold.

At first Elsa’s command was unanswered, and Kyla who was now holding her book to herself tightened her grip on its closed edges. She glanced at Elsa and a heavy sigh escapes her.

“…she won’t listen to you-“she started, but took a step forward with purpose- “-but NOW you have listen to me, do as she says. Show yourself Carbuncle, Now. Don’t make you actually summon you….I’m tired.”

Something shifted atop the shelves to their right, and though Louis was still unseen, Carbuncle became visible stepping to the edge of the shelf unit looking down at the two women on the floor. Her tail flickered back and forth, one ear lifted by a tiny paw like she had to in order to hear them properly.
“Don’t act cute.” Kyla commented, knowing Carbuncle was normally politeness, but in obeying Kyla’s fervent words before she was finally silent this time. She stared at them intensely with those huge eyes of hers.

Kyla then stayed quiet waiting for whatever Elsa had to say. Anxiety made her hugs her book to herself again, a slouch working its way into her posture making her seem smaller.

"I suppose I should," Dawn said slowly sitting up then looked back at the couple, "Ice cream sounds good right about now. Do you two want anything?"

[ Elsa : Disney Castle : Main Library ]

Elsa only briefly glanced at Kyla as she called Carbuncle out, noting her word choice. This entity, whoever it was, apparently had to obey the older woman's summons. So there was a unique bond--she would have to ask Merlin when she got the chance.

When the entity--a small, furry creature--appeared on the upper bookshelf, Elsa seemed unfazed by her looks or gaze. She locking eyes with the little one and maintained her stoic, narrowed look.

"That was shameful," she said, her tone as chilled as the library. "I don't know what troubles this woman. Maybe I can help. But you would manipulate me to do so?"

The air was slowly getting colder, but again, not so cold that breath could be seen.

"Is that what kind of 'friend' you are? That you would try to earn my help through manipulation? Bringing up my past mistakes, my own scars, that you have no right to speak of?" For a brief moment, the icy facade cracked as an inner storm raged in her voice. But it was quelled seconds later. "I don't know what allegiances you hold, but taking advantage of someone's past is anything but benevolent. That is a low reserved for those who serve themselves or the darkness."

[ Noelle .:. Prote ~ Disney Castle ~ Fairgrounds]

Noelle sputtered her lips at Anthony's comment and poked him, "Ohcommon, I'll be ffffiiine. Ye of littllle faith!"

The small, nearly drunk blonde shooed Anthony out of her way and peeled his arm off her shoulders. As she went to move out of the way so Sayrike and John could set up and play, she caught a glance of his Scotch. She weighed the decision in her mind. If she took a shot now she'd be a gonner. But still, she loved good Scotch, and could imagine that the Dunbroch's Scotch was top shelf. She could sip it and probably be okay.

Probably.

"Hey, I'm going to ussse the powder room, I'll be righth back." She told Anthony before tiptoeing away through the crowd. She managed to keep even footing, she wasn't so far gone that she'd stumble all over herself, but it really wouldn't take much longer to get there. She'd be careful, Noelle told herself, and be really slow with the Scotch she was about to order.

Noelle continued to sneak back to the booth where the Dunbroch's were selling their grog and asked for a small Scotch before returning back to the group and standing quietly on the side so as not to be chided.

[Kyla/Carbuncle: Disney Castle: Library]

The summon continued to look at them both unflinching even as the façade of Elsa’s composure cracked. Her tail flickered back and forth softly. When she did not respond, Kyla grimaced and groaned a little- now she’s being cheeky??

“Speak.” Kyla ordered, releasing the original command to be silent.

“You’re absolutely correct Queen Elsa, except for that last part.”

“I have absolutely no right to speak of someone else’s past, their scars or history like I am some expert or authority.”

“It is wrong of me to manipulate this moment so that I’d get your attention.” The summon spoke with a calm matter-of-fact tone in the face of Elsa’s fury which was reigned in.
“- and I’d do it again.”

Kyla met her summons eyes, a brow rising in inquiry.

“- I’d do it again, and whether whatever you throw at me Queen Elsa if it means Kyla gets help.” The summon looked only at her partner now, her calmness fading only a little, her tail flickering back and forth a little sharper.

“Admit it, you would have let Miss Elsa walk away, and kept silent. You’re too polite to interrupt or bother anyone. At this rate you would have continued to bury yourself in books, and one of two scenarios would play out in the hours to follow. You’d exhaust yourself that maybe you’d collapse and fall ill again, and not be able to join the others- Or- you’d force yourself to go, and the moment you’d leave the barrier’s protection, it would all be over. We’d see a repeat of what happened before, and the Earthlings would suffer a terrible blow- at your hands.”

Kyla stared at the summon stricken and wide eyed as the summon cut right to the chase. The gem on Carbuncles have glimmered faintly as a pained look was allowed ot enter her eyes.

“I don’t understand how to get you to come out Kyla. I admit it, as a summon, and not human- there is only so much I can do.”

Carbuncle looked at them both again, straightened herself up, her own composure returning to her. “The only one I serve is my partner Miss Elsa. I will not deny what I did was very extreme, but I made sure it was here in the privacy of this room. That is no excuse, but I felt a have no choice left now.
“ You can choose to walk away, I’m sure Kyla will not stop you, she’s far too embarrassed now. And you chose to ignore me, I can make myself undetectable to you. But I’m hoping you can overlook this ‘shameful’ behavior, and help someone whose too repressed to help themselves.”

She looked at Elsa distinctly- “This world is too strange for this to be sheer coincidence that you of all people walked in that door, and this moment in time. But if Kyla is left to her devices she’d lose this chance. There is no one banging on the door, trying to make her come out, except me. If that means I have to lower myself, then I will, I do not care what people think of me.”
She looked to Kyla, her voice pleading. “Please try aibou,”

“- even if you created me, it can’t be just the two of us anymore, remember what Yen Sid showed us? This is bigger than all of us now. I won’t let you fall into darkness.”

Kyla couldn't look at any of them, her face had slowly lowered to be hidden partially behind her book. The rest of her bangs covering her face.
"...I'm the one who should apologize." she muttered her voice shakey and barely audible. " My actions pushed her to say that... I'm so sorry. I am so so very sorry. This is not how I wanted to meet someone like you. Everything is ruined. I'll just leave ok?" she turned and began to collected some books to take with her from the ones on the floor.
