[The Twilight Chinchilla]

Yah, 120 dollars is pretty cheap actually. -_-' Not to mention the price of food and supplies and such. Particularly if you have a picky chinchilla like me. He only eats a certain type of food and he only eats about half of the things in it. I tried to get him to eat something else but he went on a hunger strike of sorts and got mad so I just got the other food again. >_<'

Yeah, I have had many picky pets...even fish. You can all ask Locke about that...not that she visits or anything

Heh, yah. Oh and just a random update on the rats I'm taking care of. My mom finally gave up and when she mentions getting rid of them it's on;ly half-heartedly. So they're mine now. :3 I'm very happy. ^w^

theres a chinchilla store near me and they sell there chinchillas for 30 to 50 dollars

then again they have who knows how many

Yay for keeping that petsies, and scarry for the 30 dollar chinchillas...I feel bad for them because you know they aren't being treated right. I'll take them all! they can live in my spare bedroom (hopefully the cats wont notice...)

Lots of cheap chinchillas. Goodness knows what's going on there. Hopefully not a chinchilla farm, I'd have to go all James Bond and sneak ina nd save em all...dunno where I'd put them but...oooooh well. That reminds me, have to get Snapple more food. He ran out last night. To the pet store AWAY!

I have a Chinchilla.Had her for about 6 yrs. now.Her name is Gizmo.She's the sweetest pet I've ever had.A friend of mine got one about a year ago..,may end up with it.For some reason it isn't friendly,but I will try to hold him anyway.Greatest day to all!huggles...,BreeZe

I've had Snapple...oh gosh how long has it been...it'll be 2 years on the day after christmas. Hopefully I have him for a long time. I don't think I could live without a chinchilla after having Snaps.

Well, as often happens, my rescuing has landed me with a new pet and she is my cousin's abusive ex-husband's chinchilla. She is a DOLL. I have only had her less than a week and she is settling in nicely, getting her proper care that is new to her, etc.

Which is nice for this guild as before I really HAD no rodents, just rescued them on occasion. I own sugar gliders, but they are marsupials. Now little Fable gets to be my token rodent. mrgreen

Woops! So I still adore Fable and things are going well, changing over to a healthy diet and proper care and all... but one mistake I made is calling Fable a GIRL. He is definitely all boy!

So, Fable was cute, but really too aggressive for kids to pet and so, since I never really planned on keeping him but just saving him and rehoming him but then fell in love, I have now rehomed him to an AWESOME, kid-free home who understands he still needs a lot of TLC. But I didn't want to not have a chinchilla. So I sought out a breeder and got the sweetest baby girl who is taming fine. She is ALSO named Fable for the sake of the kids, but I just adore her!

I totally understand. My rescuing tendencies landed me with two male rats. I never really wanted rats and to this day I'm still trying to find a good home for them. I love the little guys but I feel I'm not the best owner for them. They need someone whose less busy and can take them out more often.

People give chinchillas a bad rap because sometimes they can be mean. But they only grow up mean if they aren't raised right. I'm glad to hear you got another chinchilla and found a good home for Fable. With a loving family I'm sure the new Fable will grow up to be a lovely little girl. :3 Good luck with your new pet. Sorry it took me so long to respond. Internet and Gaia aren't my highest priority. ^^;
