Redd got back to her feet, swinging her amrs did a forward somersauld and popped to her feet. Overdoing it, she hopped on one leg with the other stuck staright out behind her. She gumbled as she pinwheeled her arms to keep her balance. "Tup, Tup, Tup, Tup!" she chanted as she hopped.
After several wobbly attempts at standing she managed to swing back into her usual motion. Her springs were more slack than they had been. If the next shot did what she thought, Her springs would be more effective than ever. She bowed to Rex as he left through the gate hollow.
She watched vice as he recovered from his freeze ups and scampered into the new room as soon as the door opened. She began poking around and looking at things as Gramps went about whatever garderners do. The sound of rain brought her attention back to the greenhouse and she watched, rather impressed at the speed of the plants growth. Old Man Flower was taking his time with these ones. Perhaps they were better than the weeds he had sprouted out in the desert. Plans with a bit more staying power?
Growing bored with the nature show she decided she was rather hungry. With a flick of her metal gauntlets she whipped up a garganta. She scratched her head as the doorway into the human world appeared. How was Salte able to make the thing look like a ripple in the air? Like a liquid mirror, instead of the mouth like gate into the void? she shrugged, it made no difference if it worked.
"Gonna grab a bite to eat if anyone is interested," she called popping through the garganta leaving the gate open so she could get back after she had eaten. Or if she needed a quick getaway. Not many could catch her.
(popping into earth at random, any particular spot anyone wants to end up?)

(( well, been over a week since I posted, so I'm moving on. ))
Corgano watched all that was happening as the life in this place seemed to ebb. Grandpa was happy with his plants, and seemed to be planning a garden. The idea nauseated Corgano a bit- not because he was allergic to plants, they were no different to him than any other form of life. Transitory. Of the moment. Destined to end. What made him nauseous was the idea of somebody purposefully seeking to stave off destruction. By planting a garden, Grandpa was not only cultivating his options for power, but also trying to create. Creation was a meaningless act, devoid of purpose other than the self-serving goal of creation itself. One builds to make a building. One grows things for the purpose of growing them. If everything built or grown is destined to decay and fall, why build it in the first place?! It was a concept that the arrancar just couldn't understand. Most might call him gloomy and depressing, and he'd heartily disagree. Like most he was merely fervent in following a power that was greater than his own. A power that he was sure was greater than all other powers. Of all the beings in history that sought immortality, all failed. Why? Because nothing can defeat decay. Why follow a weaker power? Corgano gave himself heart and soul to the greatest power there is. Grandpa and Rex merely chose an opposing force.
Meanwhile, Vice had fallen silent and Redd was on the move. With Garm silent, Rex busy, Grandpa 'gardening,' and Vice still . . . Corgano only had one avenue of life left. Without saying anything, he began to move and went into the portal back to Earth. "Why da hell not?" was his only explanation. To him, that was as valid an explanation as any.
Word count 299, responding to Grandpa (390), and Redd (310), total of 999
Running total 18220
(( 299 words? wow. That's pathetic. ))

| oh my, as grandpa is now the owner of the labs, he is about to get a major data download. can he ganin the ability to manipulate the nanites too? let me know if you would like me to edit Rex's message |
It had been some time since Grandpa had seen anyone in his lab. He did not have the nanite injection that allowed him to open the doors, so he was a prisoner until someone came by. He didn't mind, he worked in his warehouse growing plants of every variety, utilizing the enzymes and extracts into many compounds. He even had several new breeds he had grown unlocking a whole slew of new items he could craft. Toxins to treatments, his closet was packed with all sorts of vials, filled with who knew what. A treasure trove of chemical wonders.
He had not sensed the presence of his master for some time either. He had been absorbed in his work and had missed the happenings of the outside world. He did not neglect himself either. Half of his days were spent training his body. Staying fit for when he might have need of strength.
At some point a light flashed in his lab. the light had never been activated before so this was something new. pressing the blinking button, a hologram appeared of Master Rex. "Greetings Young Man." the hologram said, its voice coming from the head itself. No doubt a nanite speaker system hidden in the light. "If you are receiving this message, then I have expired. I leave all my assets in the crimson Labs to you. Your injections will be dispensed shortly as will a painful download of all the information I have stored here. I wish that you continue my experiments until the point they are of no use. This is your Lab now Flower. Do with it as you will."
The image faded and a click sounded from one wall. A panel that had not been there prior opened and two syringes on mechanical armature extended and held ready. Turning to them Grandpa was impaled by the first in the belly, the same as had happened to the others. The effect was intense, doubling over the old arrancar cried out in a deep long howl.

Yes, he may take command of any nanites within this building and the research there within. And yes, this is exactly how Rex would have done so. Within these walls are all of the experiments that he and his predecessor, Zedd Shachath, have worked on and still survives. This ranges widely in purpose and form. Rex's original plans were to awaken all of humankind to the spiritual realm, making them suitable meat for hollows and increasing their potential for creating more hollows. He also performed many hollowfication experiments, creating as many kinds of hybrids as could be imagined and more. His other projects included an attempt at creating EVAs, however, that only yielded one successful result, his daughter who has remained missing for quite some time. Other projects include resurrecting the original class of hollows that he came from prior to being forced into his arrancar form. It is truly primal, and ancient. However, don't let that restrict you. You have every imaginable piece of equipment at your hands. As for the Family, there is a power vacuum, as Rex always believed that their leadership ought to be determined by power and intelligence, rather than by appointment and favoritism. In order to make the nanites work for you beyond simple RP, aside from the already purchased augments, you will need to use your own customs. <3

The old man laying on the cold tile of the laboratory had no sense of how much time had passed since he had collapsed there. He remembered the first injection, and worse, the second. Unlike the others he had witnessed receive the same procedure, his power was awakened very quickly. The library of knowledge that had been forcibly planted in his old skull had almost shattered his mind. eons of data and encyclopedias of experiments hidden in these halls. He groaned and rolled to his back. With an effort that made his head swim, he sat upright and massaged his head. His mind was full of experiments and things to do, it was not helping his migraine any that he was seriously thinking of working through many of the experiments, improving them with his own skills.
Easing himself to his feet he checked himself over. His old garments were in tatters, and he shed them to the floor. Garbing himself in something new, he meditated for a moment to regain his center. His new powers were coming on line, the nanites and his new strength he could feel altering his true form. He took in his meager lab, his knowledge vastly increased. He was a doddering fool tinkering here, there was much to be done and cared for. This was his domain now. His allies were welcome and intruders were in for a surprise. Perhaps with his new attire he ought to change his name? Grandpa Flower seemed demeaning now, though he would not correct Salte Pichi.
"I am no longer Grandpa Flower, Henceforth I am ARBUTUS." he rumbled and strode through the door, the door slid aside with a whisper and Arbutus nodded, Rex was correct. He was the master now. As he walked the halls, unafraid of the 'forbidden' sectors now that he knew their contents, he attended the various experiments and specimines as he would his garden.
