Humanity was a fool. Testing with splitting atoms, nuclear warfare... we were attempting that which was never meant to be tried. It started the 3rd World War... but this war was nuclear. The world's population became abolished by bomb after bomb after bomb. The few survivors... were lucky, so they thought. Lucky that they survived. How wrong they were... Mutations, things of the vilest sort, have began appearing all over the world, slaughtering the survivors. Some of them retained their sanity... but not by much. The world has gone to hell. It's our job to bring it back.
