 Welcome to PE! No, no; we're not about physical education (but that's cool, too).
We're Pairing Enthusiasts who're passionate about pairings, shipping, fandom, and the romance/psychology intrinsic to our fan-craft (shipping, as I said already).

Do the relationships - plausible or otherwise - in your fandom intrigue you? Do the terms "pairing" and/or "ship" mean anything to you? Are you tired of being judged for the pairings you ship and simply want to find a place where you can express your love for your favorite pairings in peace? If so, Pairing Enthusiasts may be the right community for you.
Pairing Enthusiasts is a multi-fandom guild geared toward those fans who feel passionately about pairings (in general or the ones that you like) and/or want a peaceful environment in which to be able to talk about them. PE welcomes any kind of pairing - no strings attached - and believes that it's your right as a fan to support the pairings you do.
By joining this community, you can discuss your favorite fandoms and ships while also potentially discovering new ones. If you stick around long enough, you'll make steadfast new friends who share your passion for pairings and the fandoms they originate from.

• I'm interested; what are the join requirements?
First, semi-literacy. I understand that shortening and abbreviating everything is quicker and easier for those of you txtrs and 1337 speakers, but overuse is very aesthetically unpleasing and makes you seem less intelligent than you are. I'm not completely condemning abbreviations; I understand that it's easier to say the commonly used "lol" and "btw" - those are fine. If you're going to use it, just please don't go wild ("hi how r u do'n; im gr8t," = unacceptable), use it sparingly, and try to keep to terms that everyone can understand. Turn down the volume, kthx? ;)
Second, a willingness to be respectful. Not everyone is going to like the same fandoms or pairings as you; some fans prefer to stick to what's completely canon while others prefer to go wild and like whatever randomly strikes their fancy. I won't tolerate bashing, flaming, or disrespect because I want this to be a peaceful community. Obviously if you want to join, that's what you want as well. The only way it's going to happen is if everyone agrees to respect each other's right to personal preference.
Third, a desire to participate. This guild won't go anywhere if you're not interested in participating and being active. Besides, if you don't plan on participating, then what's the point of joining? Answer: There is no point. So be active and participate. We won't bite. :)
Fourth, 50g at joining that will be put toward future subforums and guild announcements.
Fifth, you must friend the guild mule once you've been accepted. She will friend you; friend her back.
• Is there anything you want me to say in the Join Request?
If you can't remember these prompts, please copy and paste them in a word document; don't use up space you might need by putting them into the join request.
1. Pick one of your favorite fandoms and tell me what that fandom is and a brief explanation of why you like it.
2. List two or three of your top favorite pairings (with their fandom) and tell me in one sentence per each one why you like it (or why you think you like it).
3. Do you actively participate in any fandoms? If so, what is it that you do?
4. Tell me briefly why you're interested in and want to join Pairing Enthusiasts.
