War has never been a stranger to the world. Tensions between the races have always been high, with small skirmishes often exasperating the issue. The angels with their righteousness are often at war with the demons. Their respective existences always seem to be one great battle against each other. Vampires and witches rarely get along due to the vampires' often targeting witches to feed on. It is no surprise, then, that wars have frequently broken out. The most destructive were often between the angels and demons, as their armies laid waste to each other, leaving large scars across the landscape from their battles.

Peace, alliances, these things are more rare, but not unheard of. Ten years ago, the world was shaken when the angels and demons put aside their differences to turn on a new foe. With so much of their attention focused one each other, they had failed to notice another race was growing powerful enough to rival them. The necromancers.. A race of people with power over life and death itself. Ten years ago, they finally recognized this growing threat and united to enact a bloody genocide upon the necromancers, leaving not even the youngest child alive. All that remained of a once great race was the ruins of their city. After this was done, an uneasy truce was left between the victors.

Recently, rumors have begun to spread that not every necromancer died during this terrible event. The rumor goes that a pair of twins escaped the genocide and have been hiding ever since. These fabled twins became known as The Twin Keys, for it is believed that the key to victory lies with them. Due to this, many seek the twins to make use of their power, while others are simply trying to prepare for the days ahead. Some are even actively attempting to make things worse. Whether they are real or not, with tensions growing between the races once again, it seems inevitable that another war will break out. If the twins exist and can be found, they would be invaluable tools for any that could use them.
