Very Important Announcement:
Brothers, and sisters,
As much as it pains my hear to say these words, I must. I feel like this guild has died off. There is far too few of us left to keep the guild going, and I refuse to drag you through the mud when you could have everything that this guild could offer, and more. Our leadership has had ups, downs, and straight up neglect. I admit that I myself have had little to no activity these last couple weeks, and I will point at that the same goes for each and every one of you. I didn't come to point fingers and throw blame though. Not at all. I came today to say this, and only this.
I am closing the brotherhood. I wont kick anyone, nor will I lock any subforums. If anyone wishes to stay they can. However, I give you an option for a new home, with activity, and familiar faces. I ask you to at least go look at it. It isn't a guild of mine, nor do I have anything to do with it. However, I know the leadership, and the members, and I can say that it is a very good place to go if you liked the BoS, TOB, or just like fallout RPing in general.

It has been my privilege, and my honor to server you and lead you. Best of luck to you all in the wastes and outside of that realm.
Your friend,
DGwar

"The fires we are forged from shall never be forgotten. Those who forget shall be lost forever."

Philosophy:
We strive to be keepers of technology. Our order seeks to discover, retrieve, collect and create wonders lost to the world in the Great War. This we do for the benefit of all who would live a peaceful existence. The Obsidian Brotherhood upholds order and law where chaos might flourish, by protecting the denizens of any caste and meting out punishment to those with crimes brought before us. Our virtues are honour, discipline, and justice.

We offer to take in any who will approach our gate and ask to join our ranks. They will be tested, heated, and reforged anew from common iron-dust into strongest steel. In the Wasteland you may be victim or victimizer, prey or predator, but with us you will be Brother or Sister.

History:
The Obsidian Brotherhood is a errant branch of the Brotherhood of Steel, an organization descended from the US military. The Obsidian Brotherhood was originally part of the Midwestern Brotherhood, until a conflict concerning issues of governance and free speech caused a separation.

The group of separatists, consisting of dozens of Brothers and Sisters of many ranks and occupations, travelled south-east into the Gulf Commonwealth. There, the force took occupation of an abandoned Pre-War military base once used by the Enclave. The base proved to include a fully-operational vault, that of Vault 23, further increasing the positions usefulness and worth. The Obsidian Brotherhood was officially founded in the year 2226, and has stayed strong for close to fifty years.

This organization differs somewhat in its traditions and structure than previous Brotherhood of Steel orders. It maintains the primary objective of gathering technology, but this is equal to the goal of protecting civilians and enforcing justice. It is the year 2278, and the Obsidian Brotherhood is open in its recruitment, accepting Wastelanders of all species and walks of life.
