Introduction

True Legion of Assassins Academy(TLA Academy) guild was founded on Thu Mar 05, 2009 by prince_zer0, TLA Captain, it is based on the ancient School for Trained Assassins. When the school was still earth based in the pre-Gaia ancient history it was elevated from the status of Academy to that of a Guild. TLA Academy whose members were trained to be professional killers who performed contract terminations. Its traditions have been secretly passed down though the ages. TLA Academy has evolved with time and now it has become a established presence in Gaia World. The doctrine and ideals still remains the same and still stands through ages.

TLA as a private academy for the elite. It is known for providing the best education available in the whole Gaia world. Most of the nobility in the universe (and beyond) have relayed on the Guild from time to time for many troubling situations, many have even enrolled their own children. Very few members actually become full fledged assassins; many who attend do not learn the valuable weapon and espionage skills, but are mainly there for the industrial and survival courses. TLA Academy graduates can be expected to be roaming around Gaia. However, those who do not graduate are generally never seen again; as noted in the words of those assassins in the later ages
"The Guild is fond of competitive examination, the Guild is easy to get into and easy to get out of; lack of loyalty is not taken lightly."

The Academy has a strict code of conduct. It is considered absolutely unforgivable for an Assassin to kill for any reason other than self defense or being paid to do so. Of course, to distinguish themselves from common hit-men, the assassins code also demands that they be paid an extremely large amount to do so. The code demands Assassins to never reveal the source of the contract. They must also give the target a sporting chance, and thus are forbidden from accepting contracts on those who are unable to defend themselves (though for their purposes, anyone wealthy enough to afford bodyguards is considered able to defend themselves, whether they have actually hired any or not. With this in mind the Guild strongly disapproves of piracy, extortion or any other illegal acts. They also frown on performing jobs in public (again to distance themselves from common hit-men). It is accepted that an Assassin may find it necessary to kill bodyguards while on a commission. However, if these can be incapacitated without being killed, it is considered good manners to do so.

In very rare cases, usually of personal offense, the executive members of TLA may stretch some of those rules, if only to make a statement. This is known as "An impolite Execution" It is also the case that the rules may be relaxed if the Assassin is "outside civilization". This being said an Assassin must always act with style and honor. Without style, he's just an expensive mercenary, without honor he is no more than a thug. It is encouraged to seem vaguely apathetic and, if possible, slightly foreign.

why join TLA Academy?
This academy is made for us assassins to be educated and well-trained.. It is not by just being a member, but also becoming a part of the family..

What do you guys do besides try to kill each other?

We're actually quite a sociable lot — many assassins are friends even outside of the academy and sometimes hang out with each other in towns, gaia forums and even zOMG. The academy tends to attract a certain kind of persons (by which we mean the sort who enjoys silly and slightly geeky pastimes, rather than the sort who thinks guns are cool).

Why would I want to hang out with a bunch of gun-toting psychos?

You'd be surprised how pacifistic most assassins are after their classes and in their dormitories. Admittedly, you'll probably find that they talk about assassins a lot, but normally it's about the funny situations people got themselves into, rather than how cool it was that they wrought so much simulated violence on their hapless targets. We may arguably be geeks, but we're not psychopaths.

TLA Law

1. FOLLOW

2. Respect
-- We treat all persons on our guild with respect regardless of their sexes.

3. We Roleplay
-- We do not simply post stuffs in forums and brag about our extravagant avatars and how powerful we are in zOMG here. Those who are not fond of RPing can still post in our guilds chatterbox and other forums.

4. Honor Always
-- Issues such as disruptive begging, using illegal means to gain advantage, hacking and spamming is not allowed in the guild.

5. Be Friendly
-- Flaming, Cursing, Spamming and use of abusive languages towards other members is STRICTLY not tolerated in the guild.

6. Switching Guilds
-- We realize that people's goals and ideals change over time. If at any time, you find another guild that is more suitable to your expectations, we extend our blessings to you with no ill will. Please notify us of your intention to seek a new family, and you will be given honor and best wishes on your continuing journey. It is not required to have TLA as your only guild, but it is highly recommended. Just stay active and we'll have no problems on our way.

7. Guild Moderators
-- If one of the guild moderators tried to scam you or treat you badly, let the guild captain know immediately, and it shall be dealt with strictly. Also, don't talk about other guilds purposely. If you are in TLA, you only talk about TLA and should talk the TLA way.



TLA Rules

i. Treat your fellow guild members with courtesy and respect.
Under no circumstances will you harass, threaten, defame or use racial, religious, ethnic or sexual expressions to insult another member. There is no cursing or swearing.

ii. Certain types of chat are prohibited.
They include, but are not limited to, religious discussions, political discussions, and over-long macros.

iii. You will not ask for a promotion.
They are a privilege, not a right. New members can't be PROMOTED unless recommended by other crews. Promotions up to Crew will be issued based on his/her presence in the guild, implementation of TLA laws, number of posts, participation to TLA games and contests, recruits and length of membership(must be a member for at least a month).

iv. All members are required be ACTIVE whenever possible.
They should regularly check the forums, attend guild events and meetings, be online at least once every 5 days, and bump guild forums.

v. Members who can't be active for a couple of days should file a request of "Temporary Leave".
Members who can't be ACTIVE for more than 5 days should fill in the form of leave in the "Temporary Leave form" forum (which is only available for 15 days of absence). If not online within your specified date of return, then you'll receive a warning PM from the TLA captain. If no any response we're made, then you don't have any reasons to stay in the guild. You'll be banned.

vi. Do not Break Pages
This includes stretching the page by posting large images.

vii. Keep Everything to PG-13
Cybering and posting of malicious images are not allowed. Come on guys, if you can't have sex in real life then just keep it to yourself or do it in PMs with someone. Don't use TLA for your sex-lust. it's not fun seeing gaians do that.
PLEASE KEEP TLA CLEAN AT ALL TIMES.

viii. Violation of any of TLA laws and rules will be reported to the guild crews for review.
Violations can lead to reprimands, demotions and in some cases banning from the True Legion of Assassins Academy.



TLA Consequences

a. Ban from the guild meaning no access entirely to our guild forums.
b. Demotion regardless of what position.
c. Deleted from the guild by the captain and you may rejoin.
d. Reported to Gaia Moderators through Reporting.
e. Other such consequences not written here also.
