The History of Iris
Eons ago the world of Iris was young and peaceful. Civilizations emerged and the kin of the world lived un provoked and ignorant of one another. The Angels of the Sanctuary were peaceful watching the infant races. The demons content to wait for marauding souls.
The world aged, the seasons passed, and the children of Iris grew in size. Each race thought its land to be the world as a whole, for it was all they knew, and each in turn had its own problems. The humans were enslaved by the titans after a slaughter and almost complete genocide of the race. The elves developed magika and the most sophisticated literature in all of Iris. However the elves grew to resent their fellow brethren based on physical appearance, virtue and overall way of life. They separated to live in different parts of their continent, Dalaran. The shapeshifters who reside on the Isles of Fate formed many different ways of life based on what each individual could shape into. They waged war on one another frequently for territory and trade routes. The Vampires built a society based on anarchy. There are the royalty with a lord and a heiress. There are eight governors who are second only to their superior rulers. The governors rule manors with a coven living in each manor. The Vampires were always at constant conflict with the lycans. (Children of the moon.) Lycans survive in packs and usually take residence in caves and in the many forests of the continent of Nephrail. The vampires and lycans were never able to gain the upper hand over their enemy. As a result they separated the continent into two. (East and West Nephrail) The Angelic Legions of the sanctuary were appalled by the behavior of the kin of Iris. As such they lifted their angelic aura from the land that suppressed the demonic hordes and as a result the demons were allowed to cross into the physical plane. The lord of the demon realm then created the Dead Zone. A place where the souls of the fallen were led to be reincarnated as undead.
As time led on the world inevitably changed.. The Humans rebelled against their Titan overlords and created magika of their own. They figured out a way to infuse their people with the power of the elements. Thus the Elementalists were born. With this new found power the humans took back their lands and the Titans were halted to a standstill. The continent was divided. Over time the many races of Iris became technologically advanced. Each race in turn began to search the skies and seas for something new. Maps were made and through foreign relations all the world of Iris was discovered for every race. None however were able to get along and thus started the world war. Each race saw the other as inferior or ignorant. However like with any body of people friendships were made and some people were able to assimilate within different societies. This however did not happen often as outsiders were often killed. Clans were formed within each nation and each with its own flag to signify a group of people rather then their own race. Alliances were formed majority with the races of one in particular continent. This however excluded the lycans and the vampires who continue even in this time of warfare, to hate each other. The war eventually became so chaotic the powers that be (The demons and angels) intervened. They now resume an age old war on one another while the other races of Iris vie for their help.
The story continues in the world of Iris. However, questions remain. Who will win this battle? Will iris spin into eternal sorrow and darkness? Immerse yourself in the tale and begin your journey.
