The Fallout
After an outbreak of two biological contagions wipes out two thirds of all human life, mankind is left to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives. To add to the chaos, creatures of myth and legend, monsters, if you will, have chosen to reveal their presence in horrific and deadly ways.
24 years after The Fallout (The initial outbreak of the contagions), the living, human and creature alike, have divided themselves into three factions.
The Humanity Initiative; who want life to return to the way it was before The Fallout. Followers of HI feel that all the creatures should be forced back into hiding, or preferably wiped out completely.
The most powerful of each species of creatures gathered together, creating a joint ruling government over their people. They call themselves The Lords of Old. They encourage their people to live openly, and kill wantonly, to show the humans just how weak and powerless they really are. They like the world as it is, and enjoy the freedom they have been denied for thousands of years.
Finally, a smaller, but perhaps more determined faction comprised of both humans and creatures call themselves The Schizm. Supporters of this faction believe that both creatures and humans can and should co-exist, and are fighting to change the minds of both sides.
Today, in the Aftermath, we fight to change the course of the future.
