-Nazi Germany. June 1945-
A scientist named Josef Mengele, was released from the German army. During his time, he conducted brutal experiments on the people, specifically twins, that were taken to Auschwitz. Not only were his experiments about taking apart twins and dissecting humans, there was another rarely mentioned side experiment: human wonder weapons.

He developed a chemical that became known as "Schwartz". It had a eerie, gleaming black colour to it and was said if injected, the human would become immortal. Invincible. The perfect human weapon.

However of course, there were side-effects. 90% of the experimentees injected with the substance, died brutally, mostly by getting ripped apart from the inside. Not only that, but 85% of the ones that survived were failed experiments, that indeed had the chemical inside of them, but suffered serious side-effects from it. The Schwartz would shoot through the veins, bursting most of them. Either killing them from internal bleeding, blood loss, or heart failure. Soon, Mengele decided if he isn't able to make the results perfect, the project should be abandoned. So he locked away his research and left the military.

-Germany. August. Approx. 50 Years Later-
A young scientist discovered Mengele's research buried beneath files in an old abandoned Nazi lab. Decided to start up the experimentation in secret with certain fellow scientists. Reproduction of Schwartz was successful.

In 10 years, they would travel around the world, looking for unique, healthy young teens to experiment on. Kidnapping them, giving them numbers, putting them into soldier bunks, and eventually taking them 10 at a time and injecting them with Schwartz, giving them wondrous powers such as the ability to turn into a living weapon, psychic powers, elemental powers, healing, and even being able to let the blood seep from their pores and create all kind of new features such as wings. However, the children's eyes would become a deep or bright yellow and memory would get erased each time they were put into experimentation, making them forget everything they had before that. They will have to start a new life. In the custody of scientists for... hopefully, not the rest of their lives.

-Germany. Present-
7 years since the first child was taken and injected with Schwartz. Still not caught by the government, the child experiments continue. There have been over 100 teens experimented on since then, causing them to run out of room and create other side labs to keep the children in.

Since the surviving teen's powers have not been able to be normally observed in actual battle, a ring was set up for the experiments to either fight each other or dummies. During these one-on-one fights, the scientists discovered that the fighters would go into what came to be known as the "Black State". They would lose control of their true-selves and kill and attack without hesitation or moral. Sometimes, because of this, one-on-one fights ended up with one or both of them dying, making the scientists lose subjects, so they don't prefer necessarily doing this unless one of the the experiments is too weak to be kept any longer.
