The year is August 22nd, 1915. The nearing end of the first and what would be the last World War. A British scientist by the name, James G. Harvey harnesses the power of a liquid found only in certain stone. This liquid when entering the body causes a reaction that makes the person or persons die within minutes if not seconds, Dr. Harvey labeled this liquid Sanguineous Euphoria, for the victim's bleed out of their mouth and eyes as a result. The young scientist presented this as a new war to aid the Allies and defeat the Central Powers, and so turned this liquid into a gas like chemical of war, though what the scientist did not anticipate is the liquid when turned into a gas, would mutate. Now upon entering a human body, Sanguineous Euphoria would transform said person within a days time, into a blood lusting mad husk of their former selves. The Allies and The Central Powers were both infected with this plague, not even knowing it. But the bleeding of the eyes and mouth would show, and soon others would infect others. By the year 1916 most of Eastern Europe is infected. As the plague spreads, The British Empire would construct a wall around it's borders in Ireland and England, in hopes to stop these husks from reaching them, they created what they called the Bronze Wall. When the wall was built the two countries became The United Kingdom, and were cut off from the rest of the world. Two more years pass and The United Kingdom has turned their borders into what is now known as the largest city in the world, within this city they use steam as a source of power and fuel for their machines, steam and coal have become a powerful tool for humankind. The United Kingdom at the year 1918 would send miners to area's abundant with coal, they would also make a Mercenary Building so that the miners had escorts to their destination and back, the mercenaries would wear armor and use melee weapons, guns and ammunition were scarce and rare. The United Kingdom also made a special unit called "The Steam Guard", they were designed for if their was a outbreak within the walls, and as a special police force to keep citizens safe. The year is 1921 now, the Sanguineous Euphoria is dying down and there are rumors that America lies untouched by the plague...

Rules of the RP
1. God Moding and Meta Gaming are not allowed, repeated abuse on these two will result in your removal in the roleplay.
2. Ammo, Guns and anything that falls within that categorical area is rare and hard to find, you cannot have a character who has two pistols, one rifle, and a buttload of ammunition. You can have A gun, but we will keep track of how many bullets you have on you and how many you use.
3. Nothing is immune to Sanguineous Euphoria, being bled on a open cut and or in your mouth (gross i know) will result in infection. If you plan to kill of your character this way remember there is nothing that can bring them back. You may if you wish to live your life as one of those infected, which i'll cover in a bit.
4.I, Bartholomew, encourage that you think of fancy or somewhat grisly ways of death for your character. This doesn't mean I or any admin's will kill off your character, we want you to understand that you are in a semi realistic world, if you fall from a high place you will break your legs or die, if you get bitten by those infect you will turned into one. Death is a natural thing in "Sanguineous Euphoria" and we want you to be apart of it if you want too.
5. There will never be anything magical in this world, as said above this is a semi realistic world. Yes there are zombie like things but they are not magical, you shoot them enough they go down. You're not a Final Fantasy character either guys, so try to keep in kind of your weight, if you carry a lot of items you will run and walk slower, keeping light and moving fast are key if you wanna survive outside the walls.
6. I said above i would cover the life as a infected, being infected really is not a perk. You're a wandering husk of your former self, if you had on heavy gear you'll still have it on, the infected use anything to kill their meal, so if they had a weapon their use till it breaks, also the infected are not zombies, they are you just mindless. They eat like every other human and they can die of even old age if they live long enough. (you know the blood kinda of dripping from their mouth and all that.)So all in all you're human but bleeding to death and hungry for human flesh, people cannot and will not reason with you, because if they do you're going to eat them. Alive.
7. Melee combat is key in Sanguineous Euphoria, all melee weapons are allowed under the circumstances that they are just a weapon and that they have no "OH MY GOD THIS WEAPON IS A SWORD FROM A DRAGON" you get the gosh darn point. They will break overtime, and you can go get another one, it's that easy. Weapons however that are passed down in the family or ceremonial, i can understand, you don't want them to break, so don't use them. They are called ceremonial for a reason.
8. I like having special events in any roleplay. on occasion i'll have a admin and or myself perform a planned event. These events are meant to have fun, not flaunt how hot s**t you are and why you're so special. Everyone in this roleplay is special, it's about their character, not just yours. These events also use the dice system, i'll ask for a roll from everyone participating, you must roll to make a post after the roll has been called, it's got to be fair for everyone. My admins or myself will never under any circumstances attempt to PK your characters, we will however call out before hand saying that "This may be dangerous" or something under those lines, Admins and myself will ask you before hand if you accept the PK ruling and you do not have to accept it.
9. Airships are not permitted, as of yet. I want to see how well everyone likes this roleplay before I announce the use of airships and what the conditions are of having one. You are allowed a vehicle, this doesn't mean a WWI tank powered by coal. It can be a motor bike or a coaled power car, something civilian, unless you got it approved by a admin or myself.

I like having choice in my roleplays and i'm giving you that option, you can play any type of character that you wanna play, that is if they follow the rules here and if it approved by the admins. I will not allow any applicants to claim they are the queen's son or something silly like that, being a duke or a noble that is friends with the queen I will allow, but only if the story is good and only if you get it approved.
and finally just have fun. This is meant to have fun with not show how cool you are because you can type a super long post about you thinking of bread. This is meant for those who love steampunk and roleplaying to have fun and kill all sons of bitches. So have fun, or ill slap the s**t out of you.
