The T-virus outbreak started in an underground lab called the Hive, which is underneath Raccoon City and it housed more than 500 scientists, technicians, and support staff, all hired by Umbrella Corp. The T-virus soon escaped the Hive because Umbrella Corp. reopened it, infecting all of Raccoon City in 2002, some people survived the Raccoon City outbreak and after the city was bombed by Umbrella. A news report said that Raccoon City was suffering a nuclear waste leak, which was a cover-up story of what really happened. What Umbrella Corp. didn't know is that one of their scientists was infected by the T-virus and infected all of San Fransisco, then it engulfed all of the U.S., then the rest of the world 5 years after the Raccoon City incident. People who have survived the Raccoon City outbreak know what to do with them, but does the rest of the world? And will everybody in the world die because of Umbrella Corp.? Who knows...
Side Plot:
Umbrella Corp. was experimenting on numerous people to see if the virus would successfully bond with the person, all but 4 lucky people were transformed into zombies, etc. The 4 lucky people had successfully bonded with the t-virus and they were to become super-humans. All four people all had the same powers, but it would take time for the powers to develop. The 4 people were some of the survivors of the Raccoon City outbreak and they never knew each other. What has become of the 4 people that were experimented on? Well, the one thing for sure is that they've been hiding from Umbrella Corp. after they escaped Raccoon City.
