For some, being invited to the kings court is the highest honor you can get. For others its almost as if your trapped in a gilded cage. Here at the kings court young women wait to find the perfect husband, not of love but to marry into rich family. Their parents use them as chess pieces for making a name for themselves or even gaining more power. Aside from waiting to be courted by the young upstanding men a court, Everyday is like a party. Grand feasts and constant dancing and laughter is common. While most of the people at court try to stray away from the drama at court, the women and men at court are sly and cunning. Spying on others to blackmail or even potentially ruin their reputation and get them kicked out of court.
Not much at court can go unnoticed by the many people at court. Sometimes even the servants will gossip about the women having affairs on their husbands or even the things they overhear. While some people have successfully managed to get close with the king and gain a tile and their own land. Others were found guilty of treason and sent to the tower to either be executed or live out their last days in prison.
Court can be a fun and exiting place but it can very well lead to the loss of your reputation or even the loss of you head. There are so many temptations for young men and women alike to fall into. Can you survive your life at court? Lets find out.
