Allo! As of now, and until I get full clearance to do this, we are no longer accepting new members. I mean, I changed the settings already, buuut...
Yeah. Q and/or Casti, please don't tear my organs out and feed them to the doves.
~ Admiral Agent
If you're interested in joining, please message myself (Captain Castaway), or her Majesty Q the great (Q_the_drama) or her royal adviser Calligator (Sayakahugs) with a character sheet and a sample of your writing. We are a literate-advanced roleplay group, and all members are expected to write as such.
Also: Please note that if you don't message us first, we will message you requesting said character sheet and writing sample, or at least to get a dialogue open between the two of us. However, if you fail to respond in any manner for a week, you will be declined. Sorry, kids, that's just the way it rolls.
GOOD LUCK AND MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR. *salutes*
NOTE: Both the Guild and our off-site are going through a bit of reconstruction, so if things randomly start flying about and doing flips, NOT MY FAULT. Plot, among other things, will be updated. Message me or Q to catch up. ~Casti
The Quarantine was a smaller town outside of Pittsburgh known as Greeney. The population at its peak was just under ten thousand people. The quarantining of this town happened do to the following events a recent flood from the Chanice River that flows through town brought a disruption to the locals' water supply and at the same a pharmaceutical company from the big steel city had got an illegal dump site for cheap off in the woods along one of the Chanice channels. The flood waters washed it all into the river. The community had been assured that the water would be fine if they boiled it, but they didn't know anything about the bio-hazards now found in the water. Boiling it would be of no use… This is how the great Quarantine of Greeney, Pennsylvania started.
Illness broke out soon after the flood waters receded. High fevers, nausea, headaches, stomach aches, hallucinations, were just some of the things that started popping up around the city. It was slow to realize at first, most people just thought it was a new bug going around. It wasn't a week later before the outbreak spread at an alarming rate. The city was blocked off and you had to pass a health clearance to even be released from the city. Most everyone was in a hospital or make shift clinic in a warehouse or school gym, they had to fly in doctors in bio suits but no one was recovering. A week and a half after the quarantine the first life was lost. Many more followed. But it was only the beginning.
Within two weeks the population dropped to nearly half its original number of inhabitants…There were two types of survivors. The first and the majority let the illness fester inside of them. They became feral, violent, and dangerous to the others. The second was a smaller group recovering from illness with side minor genetic side effects. Although some were more noticeable side effects than others. There were so few in the second group that those watching the incident unfold from the outside deemed it unsafe to retrieve them. To keep the disease contained the quarantined area was enclosed even more. High sturdy walls were constructed around the perimeter of the city with armed guards and all sewers and underground lines were caved-in. No one goes in and no one gets out. Power was shut off, the only power that remains are from back-up generators individuals and businesses owned. They wouldn't last forever though.
NOTE: THE SICKNESS IS NO LONGER CONFINED TO GREENEY. IT HAS SPREAD TO THE REST OF THE US, MAYBE EVEN FARTHER.
OCCUPANTS ARE ADVISED TO MOVE TO THE DESIGNATED SAFE ZONE IN CALIFORNIA.
THIS HAS BEEN A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.
RULES
1. Don't God-mode. If you need a definition, mail us and we'll give you tips on what to avoid.
2. Don't kill anyone without asking. Deaths are perfectly fine if you're killing off your own character, but please ask before killing someone else's. It's just good manners.
3. No Mary-Sues or Gary-stus. You'd be surprised how often this happens. All of us are more than willing to help you revise your character, if it needs it.
4. Side-plot shenanigans are perfectly a-okay, just clear them with myself or Q first so we can accommodate accordingly and make sure it fits within the canon.
Also, and this is more of a suggestion, make sure you are caught up with what is going on. Ask one of us to catch you up so you're not left in the dark about everything.
