Once upon a time...
There was a realm of darkness and joy, known as the Netherworld. It was filled with the souls of the departed, and populated by the forces of darkness. Monsters, demons, the undead, all matter of foe that would appear in your average RPG game, they all live here. It is a world twisted by the sins of man, split into countless realms with separate laws of existence. Both logic and nature are twisted into something different here. And its all ruled by a mighty, ruthless Overlord. The Overlord of Nether is the monarch of the world, ruling it with an iron fist. As ruthless as they come, loved by all. But one day The Overlord was found dead, and the new age of the Netherworld began...As he was found dying in his quarters, he spoke "My time in this world has come to an end, and the Netherworld needs a new tyrant. There can only be one Overlord... the path is open to all, but only the most ruthless and cold-hearted of all The Nether can claim it... I left all-" the Overlord was then run over by a truck before he could finish. And so a new era of chaos began in the Netherworld, thousands upon thousands sought out to become the Overlord of the Nether, but only one could succeed.This is a tale of both malice and joy, on a stage of flames, the performers begin...

Netherworld Chronicles is a fantasy RP, set in a land known as the Netherworld. Most likely, dark humor and adult topics will be abundant, so if that isn't your type of thing discretion is advised. This will not however be a particularly gritty RP, don't take it too seriously, it is a storybook land.
