NARUTO GUILD: DEATH & REBIRTH
All for the want of a cure ...a mysterious disease spread amongst the Shinobi villages as it effects the chakra of the Shinobi. Those whom have used it ...had open the window for something like the plague as it at first effects those whom have the most chakra, and then those whom have the least chakra. Leaving a field of death & destruction in it's wake as first the Kages fall, and then quickly ...the rest of the ranks follows until not a ninja remains behind to lead the Villages or to populate them.
With the lost of the shinobi ...the varies lords of the different countries turned to war. There was no longer a balance to keep them at bay, and no longer ..a reason for the strong to not pounce upon the weak. It is years of death, sickness, and provety ...that follow after that ..as the world turns to choas, and a huge feud amongst the land seemed to sap everything of it's strength & life.
It is in this era ...that you live, and it is also in this era that a single survival of the age of the shinobi roams the land. He was on a training mission deep in the heart of the mountains when the disease struck, and a single familiar of the Kage saved him from sharing the same fate as his homeland as it dies with a message in it's beak.
"Do not return."
The single shinobi took it that for some unknown reason he was banished, and from that time forth he remained in the mountains until the ruin of the world spread even to there, thus he returned to see the choas. Now he seeks to restore the balance by once more bringing back the age of the shinobi, but for this to happen he must train a new generation of ninja.
Now as he walks through the destruction that was once your home ..he step towards you, and ask you a question.
"Are you alone, and if so ..do you want to come with me?"
He holds out a hand to you ...even as he puts before you a scroll with one question at your feet. His smile is coy, and you understand quickly what is being asked of you in that simple gesture ..you are to answer the scroll, and then if he chooses you will go with him & as you notice his hand going behind his back to touch something that shines brightly, and ...if not ..you will die.
Either way, you will not suffer in this place anymore, and thus ...you take up the scroll & read it ...to determine your answers.
You have nothing more to lose at this point, and at the rate things are going ...you will die a very slow & painful death, anyway. This might be a blessing in disguise no matter how this turns out.
