BLACKPARADE██ xLONG AGO . . .
King Solomon was once a wise ruler of Israel. As a son of David, he was looked upon favorably by the Angels. When the Angels granted him a wish in his dreams, Solomon humbly asked for discernment in administering justice. People from distant lands traveled to hear the wisdom the Almighty granted him. In one account he was able to resolve a quarrel between two women over which was the true mother of a baby. He suggested that the child be divided in two by a sword so that when one woman declared that she would rather give it up than see the baby harmed, it was clear whom the true mother was. When one of his favorite men was attacked by a demon, Solomon prayed to the Angels for help. It was the archangel Michael that came to his aid, bestowing a mystical ring upon the king that gave him command over demons. Over time, he learned that the power of the ring was not just limited to demonic beings but any supernatural creature and with the seal of God on the ring, Solomon was able to brand them into servitude.
Being the wise ruler that he was, Solomon didn't let his justice stop with the first demon. After controlling the demon that wronged the lad, he cleverly lured out the demon Beelzebub. As one of the prince demons, Beelzebub had command over legions of demons and Solomon grew in power. Using a slew of demons, which were now under his control thanks to the imprinting of the prince of demons, Solomon built one of the first temples. While under his control, Beelzebub revealed to Solomon many secrets about Heaven and the creatures of the world. With this information, Solomon began collecting all sorts of creatures to his servitude. Some he captured to protect the lands, while others were imprinted for the sole purpose of gaining power. Spirits both good and evil could be controlled by his ring, for not all demons are on the Earth for a single purpose.
Over time Solomon strayed from the path of good and lost favor from the Angels. He used the new power to collect wealth and women; all of which turned his eyes towards greater sins of idolatry and excessive greed. What the king forgot was; all actions have magical reactions. When the Queen of Sheba came to visit, he was charmed by her beauty and wit. Because of his weakness for women, he offered up all he owned and more to the queen. She took advantage of the situation and claimed the king’s ring. With the power of demons under her control, she would be the most powerful witch in her land. However, before she could return to her land, the Angels intervened. Using the heavenly constellations, they locked away Solomon's forces and threw the ring into the sea. Solomon perished after a forty year reign and under the charge of his children, his kingdom fell apart.
With the demons locked in the constellations, there was no chance of anyone else finding Solomon’s ring and wielding their power again. Of course, the heavenly prisons were flawed and all things lost eventually become found. A prisoner could implode the star and many became unstable by their own means then crashed to the Earth. Many constellations were lost to the humans because of these incidents. Without the ring in possession, a creature could still be freed but could not be controlled. It had been lost to the world until recently…
