          Welcome to Kodiak Island Jaeger Academy

          Established in November 2020 by the Pan Pacific Defense Corps, the Jaeger Academy was built out of necessity. On August 10th, 2013 a large, unidentifiable creature went on a massive rampage along the California coast resulting in three nuclear warheads being deployed to kill the creature. This leveled most of the Bay Area, turning it into a desolate wasteland. Since that day, protocols and safety measures have been created to protect the Pacific Rim from these creatures now called kaiju.

          The first Jaeger Academy was a short, half year program. It accepted adults, young and old and put them through rigorous training exercises both mentally and physically, grooming them to be Rangers. While this did help immensely and while the Rangers that graduated from that program were strong and successful, the Pan Pacific Defense Corps decided that while the program was effective, they needed long term goals. The Kaiju weren’t going anywhere soon.

          From that program, the Kodiak Island Jaeger Academy was born. The idea was that bonds could be formed over a few years, rather than a few short months, thus allowing drift compatibility. Aside from its top notch Ranger program, the Academy boasts other rigorous curriculum. The Academy also headhunts the brightest science and mechanical students from across the world. The Kaiju need to be studied and Jaegers need to be built. Everyone needs to come together and aid the war effort and the Kodiak Island Jaeger Academy hopes to bridge the gap.
