Some many hundred years ago , long before the forest and the mountain were as one. King Hircine of the Kingdom down below was a mere adolescent. The forests were nearly bare and grew much farther from the rich soils of the mountain. Hircine's people and family dwindled as their nomadic life was all but barely sustaining them. They knew the mountain was their only hope in the survival of their ,and many other races that inhabited the land. But to their dismay, there lived a monstrous serpent like beast with many heads and a constantly shifting form; that dwelled within the mountains base. Devouring all it came it across and those who dared to reach the mountain.

The young man that was Hircine at the time , Knew no fear. For he was Brash and full of courage. Unbeknownst to himself the power he truly held within himself. After many years of his nomadic life, he grew into a mighty warrior scarce the look of a 23 year old man but his life spanning hundreds of years longer. With his spirit high he made his way to the mountain to face this beast, the beast happily obliging the gargantuan cervitaur.

For well over a hundred years their battle was neck and neck. the boy holding his ground against the beast with every fiber of his being pushing him back ever so slowly up the mountain. The beast in return showing some slight respect as he had never encountered a foe of this magnitude. But alas , even the beast knew if he kept the man in battle long enough, even he would succumb to his wounds from either infection or the poison that slowly enter his system from fighting him. The amount of time spent fighting only astounded him further as Hircine fought through the burning pain and sickness.

Hircine himself knew the poisons and infection that spread through his body will be his seemingly inevitable demise in this the more he fought, but this fight was not just for him. it was for All the life that lived with in this continent. All the lives that suffer from lack of food, water, and shelter. With this he fought on, valiantly even more so in one last attempt to deal with this monstrosity. With one final clash he held his ground , but faltered at the last moment, this moment pleading to the beast. Their blows locked close, close enough for him to speak to it.

He plead to him whole-heartedly, and gave him his reasoning for all this; and in that moment the beast stopped. This man had earned at-least this moment in all their years of battle. This man earned even his respect from him. Even though this man had invaded his home, he gave care to what he finally had to say. Moving the beast enough to see with unclouded vision for the first time in centuries. With this moment hircine fell, the beast taking him in arm and returning up the mountain with the man.

For decades , that had been the last that had been seen of Hircine, but in his wake, at the scene of the last battle , Life had began to bloom outward , and soon enough the mountain and all below it had began to spread into dense growth. Soon following suit a newly healed and empowered king. Prince Hircine had returned to harbor a new age of life. He began building cities around the base of the mountain using the very plant life itself as his building material and the sight of the last clash as his new home, the serpent cave now a massive chamber of rule for all upon the ground.

In present events Hircine is now seem nearly as a deity to his people , but unlike most he walks the earth along his worshipers and subjects. The many human towns that have became abundant in the past few hundred years see him as a mythical creature of life and well-being, feeling blessed to have witnessed his visage. Those who live with in the woods see him as their king, a worthy a just ruler for all those little or large. While they are not permitted entirely to enter the inner sanctum of the deep woods rarely , humans make pilgrimages to the altars of Hircine just outside of the boundaries for blessings upon their land , and family to prosper and grow.

The very few humanoids to ever witness Hircine up-close become Druids of the woods , their task in ensuring the woods stay healthy and avoid corruption of any kind that of which was seen so many years ago; They are seen by some as saviors , and by others as freaks. As mankind develops so to does Hircine prepare for the unpredictable and greedy machinations of man. The looming darkness in the back of his mind of the possibility of what could unfold , should their meanings go un-observed.

As this is a kingdom, I will be setting up titles and a hierarchy system. Though unlike other Kingdoms. There is no surname. Instead I will come up with something to let people know who we are.
