Nestled within the once luscious valley of Dalliance Vale, Dalliance Town is in dire need of people to settle the city! With the valley's (somewhat) plentiful resources, there's room for nearly any occupation! And in town, there's more than enough potential for questing, friendship, and maybe even romance...

You know you're in for one heck of a time! Joining is easy, and there's no registration fee!

Invitation:

A soft breeze whistles over your hair as you’re awakened from a nap out on a hill.

As you examine yourself, you suddenly realize someone has left a letter on your stomach while you were sleeping…How in the world did that get there?

Curiously slitting the worn envelope, you take out a letter written on light green paper that smells of spring.

It reads:

Quote:
“Hey there, friend,

I hope this letter found you safely. You’re probably wondering why this was given to you. I have a proposition for you, and if you so decide to take it, I, and this town would be forever grateful to you.

Once, there was a small valley by the sea that flourished with prosperity. It was said that the Harvest Goddess and King had touched the valley personally. Its fields produced only the most delicious crops and foods. The mountains were full of every jewel imaginable. The seas were abounding in fish. Monsters lived about, minding their own business in the forests and deep within the dungeons. It was a beautiful place that was colored by every season.

It was said to have fields of gold and mountains of silver, rivers of pleasure and dungeons of treasure

A young couple were the first to live in the valley, and they loved it dearly.

All the couple had wished for was that the valley would stay beautiful for their eyes for all time. The Harvest King and Goddess, seeing that these people loved the valley so much, decided to grant their wishes. The two deities were said to have exchanged promises with them before retiring to the springs of the nearby forests.

They promised to fulfill a couple's wishes of blessing the valley so long as the old couple promised to guard two rings, the rings of Dawn and Dusk, that belonged to the god and goddess. As long as the rings weren't harmed or taken out of the valley, the covenant would be intact.

So the old couple agreed and guarded the rings. They named the valley Dalliance Vale.

As time passed, people began to settle the valley after discovering its beauty and resources. Soon, a small town named Dalliance Town was founded. It was a beautiful place to live within the majesty of the valley. It had many kind hearted people settle its grounds, and became a place of warmth and happiness, as well as a bustling city full of commerce. They would have only the most breathtaking festivals and holidays that attracted many tourists, and the hospitality of the locals kept them coming back. It was a spectacular place.

By this time, the couple had grown old, and as they came to the end of their lives, they passed down the rings to their children.

Generations later, the promises had become nothing but legend, and the rings were soon lost both physically and mentally with the passage of time.

The valley slowly started losing its resources one by one, the monsters became unruly, and soon the town was in an uproar. Conflict broke out as to whether it was right to stay or leave, and the community fell apart. The economy became crippled as the lands started dying, bringing down everything with it. Eventually, most people felled to find better lives elsewhere. Only a handful of residents were left, a majority of them young and determined to save their precious valley, but powerless to do so.

Or so they thought.

Friend…this is the current standing of the once glorious Dalliance Vale. If my intuition is correct, I believe you, yes, you may be able to save the valley. If you were to help rebuild the town and remind the people of its mythical birth, the valley could be revived. After all, it may not necessarily be that the rings have been lost, but that the magic they once possessed has faded like the determination and mentality of the town people. If the town were restored to its former glory, the valley may have a chance.

Of course, if the rings were found…the finder may discover they hold a fraction of the Harvest deities' power in their hands. What they do with it is up to them...

If the happiness and joy of helping a town and valley that has fallen apart does not interest you, think of all the wealth that could be acquired when the valley's resources are revived. If you are the adventurous type, think of all the untouched treasure inside the dungeons. If you are a farmer, think of the fields of gold! If you are looking to open a shop, just picture how easy it could be in such a small town, and with the proper resources! The possibilities are limitless…

Well then, I've talked enough. How do I know all this, you wonder? Well, I can't reveal myself just yet.

I hope you will accept this letter of invitation. I invite you to join in. You'll find appropriate means for transportation enclosed.

May you find fields of gold

A Close Friend."

Oddly enough, there really is a train ticket to Dalliance Vale enclosed.

Strange, you've been looking for an opportunity to start a new life. There isn't much holding you down either.

Will you go…?
