In the years of 3055 A.D., a master league of specially trained scientists were able to decipher an immense code of data that activated a gateway to a parallel, digital copy of Earth. The potential found in this cyber world was staggering to the scientists, leading to the development of advanced futuristic technology and breakthroughs in many scientific fields, such as medicine and physics. But, the most interesting thing found in using the cyber world's potential was that scientists were capable of transferring humans to the cyber world.

To be specific, humans venturing into the cyber world is like a form of astral projection (the condition in which a person leaves their physical body) through the use of a developed technological process called "Cyber Soul Synchronization"; which allows a person(s) to go into a sleep-like trance causing their astral self(s) to leave their body and enter into the cyber world. Since the astral form of the person cannot survive in the cyber world without a body, they create an avatar for them to inhabit whenever they are in the cyber world. Since the cyber world does not possess the limitations of the real world, avatars are capable of performing superhuman and magical feats such as flight, enhanced strength, and manipulation of the elements. Once an astral self takes on an avatar, a synchronized link is made between the avatar and the person in real life. The avatar essentially becomes a character that the person can take control of in the cyber world like a character in a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (which is the long version of MMORPG for those not in the loop).

It is this connection to the cyber world that also acts as a declaration of war for there are those who wish to use the cyber world for their own selfish purposes. Some may want the cyber world as their own personal toy, others may want to prevent people from ever leaving the cyber world, and some may want to use the cyber world as revenge against the real world and turn the cyber world against us. Those who would use their avatars for evil are generally referred to as "Virus Souls", using their powers to find a way to break the rift between the cyber world and real world to wreak havoc on society. But as long as there are Virus Souls, there are those who will use their powers to fight them off and protect not just the cyber world from their intentions, but also the real world known as "Data Souls". The cyber world and the real world are now in constant threat from the invasion of the Virus Souls as the Data Souls fight valiantly to protect the worlds. Will the Data Souls be able to fight off the Virus Souls and defeat them, or will the Virus Souls get their wish and take over? Only you can decide the fates of two worlds in peril...
