We settled on neighboring worlds, colonizing and socializing with other races we discovered over the years, we learned so many things during this process. But, Humanity is a race of repetition. Our own need for self advancement in technology and space has created a once proud entity into that of greed and corruption. We started being thrown into war with other races, even began fighting among ourselves. Then, the Mystics arrived.

Humans, who have retained super-natural abilities from the radiation of the Seraphim gate of Earth when it exploded upon activation those many years ago...So much destruction had occurred that day. Yet despite this, in its wake gave way to the birth of these extraordinary individuals of such varied abilities. But like everything else that is different to ourselves, they were met with fear, discrimination, and eventually even violence. Now the Mystics live among us in both hiding and service to greater causes. Fighting their own battles, or somebody else's.
