There are stories, centuries old, of creatures of the night. Ones that feed off blood to survive and are impossible to kill. Turns out...they are true. However, they are not all the wicked demons these stories make them out to be. Powerful and beautiful, they have been staples in our society for millennia. Writers, Philosophers, Actors, Musicians, and even Inventors. Vampires are real, and, without knowing what they are, the world loves them. In recent decades, Vampires have begun to attack humans less and less. Deciding to gather blood through blood banks or to replace their feedings with pills developed for the exact purpose to replace the need to feed from blood. These are called Blood Capsules.
But, there are those who do know what they are and hold an uneasy treaty with them. These are Vampire Hunters. Most belong to the Vampire Hunter Association, but there are those who work alone. However, they all adhere to the treaty. For if they violate it, there would be grave consequences. The treaty states that Hunters are only to go after the feral and lawless Vampires. If a Vampire kills a human, they are to be tried and if found guilty of lawless killing, they may be hunted. But, there is one exception to this rule. Purebloods. Under no circumstances is a hunter to harm or even touch a Pureblood unless the order comes directly from the current Senior Councilor of the Vampire council and the decision is met with unanimous agreement from the remaining Councilors.
But, there is yet another group. One that hunts both Humans and Vampires alike. These are called the Bloodphasers. They are the mutant experiments developed by accident by the VHA while testing a cure for vampirism. They exhibit many similar powers of vampires, however, they are quite different. Bloodphasers cannot use the blood capsules that vampires used to replace the need for blood. They also age faster, living up to the age of three hundred at the oldest. They also need to feed multiple times per day. Their skin, though it may not look different, feels tough like coarse leather. Their jaws can unhinge, similar in style to the Mandibles of an insect. And, they have twelve fangs, three in the top right, top left, bottom right, and bottom left of their jaws, though, they can keep this hidden relatively easily. Mirrors will reveal their true appearances.
In the middle of this world, there is a single school, Blackbrook Academy, whose ultimate goal is to unite the worlds of humans and Vampires, but only when the Humans seemed ready. The school houses two dorms, one for humans, and the other for vampires. As of now, no human other than the headmaster and a few students that make the Disciplinary Committee know the truth. But, can this last? Can the Noble Vampires and the few Purebloods that attend the school keep their secret? Or will they be revealed?
