Our Founding...
Originally, the corporation, Atlas, was nothing more than a defense contractor on the human world of Traxis. A year after it's start, war had assumed its role as a force of human nature and the corporation's upkeep was slowly falling. Before it completely crippled, the director of Atlas held a meeting with several major military leaders. In closing, the event had successfully won over the majority and instant military funding became abundant. The war had unfortunately brought unwanted attention from sentient races. Unable to stop the invasion, but also unwilling to end the war between each other, the human governments were constantly on the defensive. When Atlas attained technology from the sentient race, the director ordered his engineers to begin using the new technology to reverse engineer their own leading to their first combatant role in war.
Soldiers hired by the agency were fitted with the most advanced equipment, rivaling even their founders'. With this, Traxis earned its first victory against the opposing sentient beings. Loss after loss left the aliens with no other option but surrendering to the humans. But with no standing government in the area, they submitted to Atlas and the director's own terms. Unfortunately, the preceding damage had left major issues in its wake. Communication with other human planets became impossible as all navigation data was razed by corrupt AI's. With no way to contact other human establishments, Atlas became the world's superpower. Governments that had not fallen were hesitant to assimilate to Atlas but was reassured by the Director, who duly noted that he would not assume the role of commanding the planet. The world would continue under Atlas's protection and control until the governments could remain neutral.
Remnants of the invasive sentient species, called the sttheo, were left by their retreating allies and stranded. Being no threat to humans, the Director welcomed them and offered them a place on their world. They came to accept the humans and later assimilated. Acknowledging this, the Director dictated discrimination to be illegal and the punishment to be fierce. To suppress overflow and slowing upkeep, a side agency/corporation named Lake Operations™ was founded; mostly working in genetics although sometimes being handed personal technological projects by the Board of Directors. Over the years, governments had fallen flat and Atlas's Board of Directors obtained their role. Atlas later expanded and, with the help of sttheo engineers, warp drives were invented. Spacial exploration was now possible. Massive fleets were constructed as expeditionary forces. Planets were terra-formed colonized. Currently its prime, Atlas now inhabits 11 planets: Omegis, Charybdis, Osiris, Novus Ai, Novus Ur, Theta, Traxis, Arcane, Dogma, Wake and, in the future, attained Rhemic from the Galactic Colonial Federation.

Atlas, unlike most agencies, is a corporate nation. Though we are known for our effective military prowess, we hope to emphasize our physiological and technological aspects as well. The ancient greek mythological Titan, Atlas, was ordered by the gods to uphold the entire weight of the world in the most literal and physical sense of the meaning. We put that on an intergalactic scale; placing that term on a higher standard; the limitless universe. Yechiel Davïd, an Israeli descendant, is the current Director of Atlas. Demarco, a sttheo / humanoid hybrid, is one of three War Officers, and shares command of all cybernetic forces the Atlas superintendent AI, Rubicon. Under them are the Primordial officers. Atlas serves as corporation and major defense contractor. Atlas innovates ad designs new technological concepts and distributes them to paying clients. From entire fleets to individual armor and munitions. We do not usually place ourselves in wars as we do not discriminate factions unless their is a conflict of interest or their is an economical gain. Factions cannot pay us to aid them as we only join out of moral obligation. Not all of our assets are open for use. We assure our clients that our products' residual value will not decrease.
