That's not true. Japan is far from perfect, and he was shown to be quite dark when he attacked China at night, scarring his back (which may be Nanking, but it was never said). Someone who's never looked deeper than the anime might not know this, but his sides are shown just as well as anyone else's. Also there is no "creators", there is one man, Himaruya. So all that countries are to be "accurate" are the bad things that happened? No. Here's how they deal with them: They don't. They show other things, bits of history that are less serious usually. It's a light series for the most part.
Your words "When the WWII scenes came on" doesn't make sense, because they didn't. This isn't some serious history documentation, there's plenty of those. It ...

The English dub is notorious for controversy because they made it that way. The original Japanese is a lot less offensive. Just sayin', don't know which you saw.

I'm so distracted by Prussia's strangely blushy and seemingly panting face and Hungary's "Give me back my happy place!" (After Silesia had been referred to as Austria's vitals) that I wouldn't have caught that. XD Strange, but my bet's on some translation error. But of course translators aren't going to check history for correctness I guess. XD

Actually you're right. But I can't remember if that's a translation error or an original error. It became a part of the German Empire after that, which wasn't in Austria either, so I'm not sure what they meant by that.
