First off, if you expect people to proof read your story for you, you should probably proof read it yourself, first. Use a spell check and such, and make sure you format it so it's easy to read.
Your problems with this are relatively simple but major flaws in literature:
1. Grammatical errors, misspellings, misplaced/wrong words.

Either that or they will be so mind-blowingly awesome that they have greatness, nobility, and wealth thrust upon them without question.
Also, monarchs are all-powerful. Their own soldiers or people will NEVER turn on them, they follow the King blindly, without question, and even if they hate his rule they tolerate it because, hey, he's King!

Oh yeah, blood isn't hard to clean off or anything, and these weapons don't need to be taken care of. Steel doesn't rust, are you crazy?
Also, when writing about swordplay, just say crap that sounds cool, amazing, and new. Real sword fighting is boring and simply consists of sweeping a blade back and forth to clang against your opponent's, Don't bother watching demonstrations or reading abo ...

I must also mention that swords and any other blades do not dull. Old weapons made of wood, ie staffs, bows, arrows, etc, survive water no problem. No such thing as water damage. At the end of an epic battle, when your hero thrusts his sword into the earth in a dramatic show of victory, it doesn't do anything to dull his amazing weapon. These things do not need sharpening.
